My Hogwarts has a serious problem.
108. Hogsmeade
Two weeks after Halloween.
The news that Lynn killed the troll had spread far and wide.
If you can't count on Harry and Ron to keep a secret, you might as well hope Snape will wash his hair on his own initiative.
The response from Slytherin was naturally very enthusiastic. Lynn had earned 100 points for the house last semester, laying a huge foundation for winning the House Cup.
Now, having defeated the troll, he has not only gained face for Slytherin but also reaped substantial benefits, causing his popularity in Slytherin to soar to unprecedented heights.
Even Malfoy tried to talk to Lynn, but Lynn ignored him.
What's a bit strange is the situation with Gryffindor.
They were deducted five points by Professor McGonagall this time, but they still didn't seem too discouraged.
After all, Lynn had a pretty good relationship with Gryffindor and had quite a few friends, unlike Malfoy who was universally disliked.
It was noon at Hogwarts Great Hall.
The owl, tricked by Lynn, flew into the auditorium as if it were airsick, even running to the wrong table and attracting the attention of many people.
Finally, it found Lynn on the Ravenclaw table, where it tumbled and fell before landing safely.
"How could it be so fast?" Lynn said in surprise.
Cedric and Ian looked at him strangely.
"What? So fast?"
Lynn put down his fork, took his letter from the owl, and tore some bread crumbs from its beak.
"Professor Fox replied to me. He should be in Asia now. It's only been a month since I sent the letter. I shouldn't have received the reply so quickly."
Lynn said as he opened the envelope.
The envelope contained only a simple piece of parchment with a single sentence written on it:
Meet me at the Hogsmeade pub tonight at 9 p.m. I'm sure you'll find a way out.
—Your loyal Adrian Fox
Lynn couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
He hadn't expected Professor Fox to come back in person.
Then look at that dazed owl, who still hasn't recovered. It's probably because Professor Fox Apparated with it that it turned out like this.
Lynn gave the owl some water and helped take it back to the owl pen.
It's not in good condition and will probably need to rest for several days to recover. If we let it fly back on its own, who knows where it might end up.
There was only one herb class that afternoon, and he spent the entire afternoon in the greenhouse because Professor Sprout had asked him to stay behind and help take care of the devil's web after the regular classes ended.
"To be honest, I was originally not going to use such a dangerous plant as teaching material for first-year students, but Professor Dumbledore said that students would have to come into contact with it eventually, and from a safety perspective, the sooner the better."
Professor Sprout is arguably the most approachable professor at Hogwarts. When Lynn helps him, he likes to chat with him about everyday school matters.
Lynn was taking the dragon skin gloves off his hands.
"Professor Dumbledore always considers things more comprehensively."
He naturally knew why the old bee had made the same arrangement—it was all for the purpose of nurturing Harry Potter.
Professor Sprout was a kind, plump woman whom Cedric often said treated all her students like her own children.
"That's true, but this plant is still too dangerous. If Godric hadn't recommended you to me, I would have been planning to hire a sixth-grade student. Thank you for today, Belloc."
Lynn waved his hand.
"It's alright, Professor. I still haven't finished using the bottle of White Essence you gave me last time. It's only right that I stay and help out. I'll head back now, Professor."
"Have a good night's sleep, goodbye child."
Unfortunately, Professor Sprout's blessing cannot come true today.
Lynn returned to his dormitory and began preparing for his trip to Hogsmeade that evening.
Although Hogwarts does not allow second-year students to go to Hogsmeade, he and Cedric accompanied Ian to the Shrieking Shack many times on full moon nights.
That place belongs to the wizarding town of Hogsmeade.
At 8 p.m., just after dinner and before the castle's curfew, Lynn went to the Willow Tree that had been used to beat people.
He knew quite a few secret passages leading to Hogsmeade from the Weasley brothers, but the one he was most familiar with was undoubtedly the one beneath the Whomping Willow.
He touched the scars on the trunk of the willow tree that had been hitting people, calming the restless tree down. Then he climbed into the hole under the trunk and followed it all the way to the screaming shed.
This place has now become a secret base shared by Lynn and his two companions, and it is no longer the dirty, messy, and dilapidated place it once was.
Without lingering at the Screaming Shack, Lynn walked out and came to the main road of Hogsmeade.
Even outside of Hogsmeade Week at Hogwarts, the place is still bustling with activity.
After all, it is the largest wizarding town in Britain and was once the headquarters of a goblin rebellion, so it is a famous tourist attraction in the wizarding world.
Lynn didn't rush to the Hog's Head. He rarely came to Hogsmeade and planned to take this opportunity to explore the area.
The thing I heard most often at Hogwarts was undoubtedly Honeydukes Candy Shop in town.
Even at night, the place is very lively, with all sorts of male and female witches coming and going.
It is said that Dumbledore was also a frequent visitor here. Before entering, Lynn carefully peered inside for a while, afraid that he would be embarrassed if he encountered that old bee.
After making sure there were no acquaintances in the candy store, Lynn went inside and bought a lot of candy. After paying, he left the candy with the store.
The shop owner, Mrs. Froome, specifically instructed him to take his things before 11 o'clock, otherwise he would have to wait until the next day to pick them up after they closed.
After leaving the candy store, Lynn went to the Three Broomsticks pub. He didn't stay there long, but he did go to see the owner, Ms. Rosmerta, whom he had heard so much about. The original story says that Ron was very infatuated with her.
Yes, the young woman is indeed beautiful.
He then went to George and Fred's magical joke shop, which he often referred to as Joko's, where there were many magical items for pranks, including "dung bombs," "burp candies," "frog egg soaps," and "nose-biting teacups," among others.
However, Lynn wasn't interested in these things. He didn't wander around for long and strolled around the streets of Hogsmeade for a while before finally arriving at the small, shabby Hog's Head pub around nine o'clock.
There was indeed a bloodstained pig's head in front of the Pig's Head Bar, and there was indeed a male waiter with a messy beard and wearing a dirty apron.
