The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 630 Getting Closer to the Answer

Chapter 630 Getting Closer to the Answer

"You guys go out first."

Lilith spoke softly to the others. Narcissa and Diana exchanged a glance, sensing that Lilith must have something to say to Moriarty, so they nodded and quietly left the bedroom.

William and the others felt it inappropriate to stay any longer, so they left one by one, closing the door behind them before departing.

Only Ishcher, lying on the bed, Moriarty, with a sallow complexion, and Lilith, leaning against the door, remained in the bedroom.

Lilith scrutinized Ishcher for a while, then shifted her gaze to Moriarty, her eyes darting back and forth between the two.

Lilith witnessed Ishcher's coma and Moriarty's anxiety.

"I have a time converter."

Lilith suddenly said.

With his back to Lilith, Moriarty, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, was startled. He turned to look at Lilith, his eyes filled with surprise.

"Splash!"

Lilith pulled a small hourglass with a gold chain from a small bag; the golden sand inside glittered dazzlingly.

"This might be the last time-twister in the world, and it's in my hands." Lilith clutched the time-twister tightly in her hand. "Yes, the one I borrowed from Professor McGonagall, and I've never returned it."

"Great!" Moriarty smiled upon hearing this and reached out his hand, saying, "Give it to me quickly, Ishcher is saved."

However, just as Moriarty's hand was about to touch the Time Converter, Lilith's little hand suddenly withdrew, and the Time Converter was held in Lilith's hand.

"It's obvious you care about her."

"So what if I am?" Moriarty admitted. He thought Lilith was jealous and throwing a tantrum. In the past, Moriarty might have teased her a bit, but now Moriarty wasn't in the mood. "Precisely because I care, I need the Time Converter even more. Give it to me."

"Precisely because you care, you should calm down," Lilith stared intently at Moriarty with her bright eyes. "Do you know? When my shapeshifting was at its most dangerous moment, because I cared about you too much, I was backfired by the shapeshifting and turned into that horrible thing."

"But it was precisely because I cared about you so much—I was afraid I would never see you again—that I overcame the backlash of the Transfiguration."

Moriarty's expression was uncertain. Lilith's words were not meant to express love—their love did not need to be expressed in words—so Lilith must have had a deeper meaning.

Seeing Moriarty deep in thought, Lilith smiled slightly; her perception of emotions was at a level far beyond human limits.

From the moment Lilith entered Slytherin Castle, she sensed that Moriarty was acting strangely, very strangely—his current mood was unlike anything Moriarty had ever shown before.

Lilith was more worried about Moriarty than about Ishcher's injury!

If Moriarty has a problem, not only Ishcher, but they will all be finished.

So Lilith was determined to say something to Moriarty, even if Moriarty misunderstood that she was jealous.

"It seems to be working well!"

Seeing that Moriarty's emotions had calmed down, Lilith curled the corners of her lips and continued, "I used to get jealous when I saw you surrounded by beautiful witches."

"Later I gradually came to understand that you were always surrounded by all sorts of witches, and then powerful women like Professor Diana and Princess Violet appeared, and now Daenerys Ischel is also..."

"I understand, because just like them, to us, you are like a god!"

Moriarty's heart skipped a beat. He looked up and met Lilith's determined gaze.

So, in their minds, regardless of whether I obtained the elemental artifact or leveled up my elemental magic to level 100, I was already a god.

Lilith handed the time-tamper to Moriarty, smiling, and said, "If I don't have one either, are you going to mobilize all your resources and power to develop a time-tamper?"

Moriarty slowly took the Time-Turner, which still held the warmth of Lilith's palm and seemed to possess a strange power. Moriarty's anxiety slowly dissipated as if it had been extinguished.

"That's right, you've seen right through me." Moriarty smiled at Lilith; she really had grown up.

wrong!

Moriarty's expression changed. If Lilith could see through my thoughts, what about Light?

Could it be...?

Moriarty's eyes narrowed instantly. He looked at the time converter in his hand, his throat bobbed a few times, and he managed to utter a few words with difficulty: "The time converter might be a trap..."

"Huh?" Lilith blinked. She had been staring intently at Moriarty's sexy Adam's apple, practically drooling. "What did you say?"

"I said," Moriarty took a breath, his eyes filled with wariness, "Could I be being misled by the light?"

"Whether it was Gamp or Pidtu the Pioneer, they crushed the Time-Turner, and then the light descended."

"Then tell me, if I crush the time-tamper, will light descend?"

Moriarty gripped the time converter tightly.

Lilith smiled and said, "I can't say for sure about that, but I do know that you've regained your senses and you can think about things again."

"Yes, thanks to you."

Moriarty pulled Lilith close and held her on his lap. With Lilith's cool skin pressed against his chest, Moriarty became even calmer.

"If I crush the time converter, light will definitely not appear."

"Because Guang went to great lengths to conceal his identity, it would be too easy for him to reveal his true form simply by crushing the time-travel converter."

"A mastermind like Guang would never entrust his secrets to a random probability."

"So? The two appearances of light are not bidirectionally connected to the time converter; there is only a one-way selection of light!"

"In other words, if the time converter is crushed, light will selectively descend upon it."

"Light is absolutely capable of this—it has the power to control time, and the time-twister is nothing more than a plaything of light."

"That makes sense. They used a time converter to set a trap for me."

Moriarty grabbed the gold chain of the Time-Turner and held it up in front of him and Lilith, his four eyes staring into the sand inside.

"I really dislike using hourglasses to represent the passage of time," Moriarty suddenly said.

"Because time is endless and always moves forward, while an hourglass can be repeated."

As Moriarty spoke, he turned the hourglass upside down, and the fine golden sand flowed swiftly.

"The purpose of setting up the trap might not only be to mislead me, but also to conceal the real solution to Ishcher's injuries!"

Moriarty said forcefully, his eyes shining brightly. This was the real thing; he had understood!

"Since it's been hidden, it means the real solution has already been revealed, and it's been revealed in my few encounters with Guang Liaoliao!"

Moriarty stood up, released Lilith, and went to sort through the clues again to find the secret hidden within.

Turning to look at Ishcher one last time, Moriarty and Lilith left the bedroom. Ishcher's entire right arm had turned into white bone, and it had begun to disappear little by little from the fingertips!

"Wait for me, Ishcher."

"I will definitely find the right solution."

Moriarty went straight into his study without looking back.
