The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 612, here I come!
Chapter 612 I'm back!
A fierce battle broke out at Hogwarts.
The flames of war ignited, spells flew, and boulders and weapons slammed against the protective shield outside the school, creating a deafening roar.
The students with prestige from the four houses, including Tonks, Marcus, and the Weasley twins, all participated in the battle, while the remaining 90% of the junior wizards gathered in the Great Hall.
Some of them were wearing travel cloaks, some were in pajamas, some were staring at the enchanted ceiling—which was now devoid of stars and filled with dark clouds—and some were fidgeting as if sitting on pins and needles.
Without exception, everyone gripped their wands tightly.
When Hermione entered the Great Hall, this is what she saw.
"Miss Know-It-All?"
"Granger!"
Someone spotted Hermione, and everyone's eyes immediately turned to her.
"What did Professor McGonagall say?"
The impatient Gryffindor lion cub couldn't contain himself and asked.
Pairs of eyes converged, and gazes fell upon Hermione.
Even Hermione, who often does ideological work with students, couldn't help but feel a little nervous at this moment.
She didn't know how many people were willing to join the fight, and of course she wanted as many as possible—but those were human lives, could she really let them join the fight and risk their lives against the fairies with a clear conscience?
Hermione's heart trembled, and her pupils swayed violently.
When she actually faced these classmates, Hermione's confidence and courage vanished completely.
Hermione, are you alright?
Hannah Abbott pulled Hermione to sit down next to her; as a friend, she noticed the change in Hermione's mood.
The understanding Hannah said to Hermione, "Whatever decision Professor McGonagall makes, we will support her. Similarly, no matter how terrible the dangers that may be for Hogwarts, we will not abandon it."
Her words won applause from some people. Hermione was both in awe and moved. She stood up abruptly, instantly regaining her confidence and rationality.
"After discussion, Hogwarts students are permitted to participate in the battle!"
"Very good."
"I knew it! We could do it too!"
A group of young wizards stood up and said excitedly.
Hermione noticed that they were the most active and mischievous students.
The majority of the students, however, frowned and remained silent, their faces showing a deep sense of weighing the pros and cons.
Hermione knew what they were worried about.
The four houses previously targeted Umbridge because neither Umbridge, Gump, nor the Ministry of Magic would kill without a reason.
But fairies will.
This goblin rebellion is more terrible than all the rebellions in history combined. Judging from the strength and determination of their attack on Hogwarts, once Hogwarts is breached, no one can guarantee that the goblins will not massacre the city!
When faced with a choice between survival and death, most students were filled with hesitation.
Facing them, Hermione said understandingly, "Marcus and the Hogwarts pure-bloods are clearing the secret passages of Hogwarts. Once it's safe, they will send you away from Hogwarts."
Suddenly, another voice echoed through the Great Hall, drowning out Hermione's words. The voice was high-pitched, sharp, and clear, and it was impossible to tell where it came from; it seemed to be coming from the walls themselves.
"Wizards, I know you are preparing to resist."
A few girls among the students screamed, but they were quickly silenced. More students stared angrily, searching for the source of the screams.
"Your efforts are futile. You are no match for us."
"Fairies, giants, werewolves, goblins—you have oppressed us for centuries! Every single one of them here wants to kill you!"
"But I'm giving you a chance, your only chance to live."
"Hand over the Gryffindor sword."
"Hand over the sword of Gryffindor," said the Fairy King's voice. "None of you will be harmed. Hand over the sword of Gryffindor, and I will keep Hogwarts safe. Hand over Gryffindor, and you will be rewarded."
"I'll wait 30 minutes."
The Fairy King floated in mid-air, and after saying these words, he gripped his scepter and looked toward the Atlantic Ocean.
"I said I would let Hogwarts go, but I didn't say the Immortal Organization would let Hogwarts go."
"Night is coming! Then I will take the Gryffindor sword. This school is my gift to the night."
A wicked smile crept across the Fairy King's cunning face.
At that moment, silence engulfed Hogwarts.
All the teachers, students, and their companions stared at each other in disbelief. The goblin was making a big show of it all for the Gryffindor sword.
Professor McGonagall ran down the tower; the sword was in the principal's office, and she was going to protect it.
The auditorium hall was in complete chaos.
The students started discussing excitedly. Some thought that since the goblin didn't want their lives, but only the Gryffindor sword, it was just a sword anyway, so they might as well give it to the goblin.
This idea was immediately met with opposition.
Draco of Gryffindor slammed his fist on the table and roared, "I object!"
"If we hand over the sword now..."
"What's the point of Percy Weasley losing an arm for Hogwarts? What's the point of us cooperating to drive Umbridge away?"
"What's the point of having four leaders united to establish Hogwarts?"
"That's right!"
A chorus of agreement and approval rang out as the students discussed animatedly, their faces filled with indignation.
Hermione wanted to stop the heated discussion, but the hot-tempered young wizard refused to listen to her.
"If Moriarty were here, he would have a perfect solution." Hermione bit her lower lip, her eyes brimming with tears.
Suddenly, through her teary eyes, Hermione saw a group of figures walk from the basement into the Great Hall, but the students were too focused to notice.
The male wizard leading the group—wasn't that Moriarty, the brother she had been longing for day and night?
Hermione's eyes widened in surprise, and she stood up in a daze, about to pounce on him, when Moriarty walked straight across the four long tables and came to the front of everyone.
"A loud and clear voice."
Moriarty cast a spell on his wand, and although he was instantly drowned out by the students' heated discussion, he smiled with satisfaction.
Two weeks after leaving Hogwarts, the students in the castle have matured overnight.
Especially Draco, who is able to acknowledge the Weasley family, their arch-rivals, and also understand the original intentions of the four founders in establishing Hogwarts.
"Stop!"
Moriarty suddenly roared.
The auditorium fell silent. Everyone turned to look at Moriarty, most of them still leaning forward in their argument, looking extremely mechanical, but their faces were filled with astonishment.
The atmosphere was tense for a few seconds, then the students' expressions changed from astonishment to ecstasy.
"Mr. Moriarty!!!"
When the students shouted that name in unison, a magical power seemed to descend upon Hogwarts.
Moriarty pressed his hands down a few times, calming the situation, and said, "I'm back."
"I'm back!"
"I'm back!"
With the amplification spell, the sound of Hogwarts echoed through the night sky.
The Fairy King's expression changed, a hint of seriousness mixed with his cunning smile, and for a moment his expression was both lewd and comical.
"Moriarty is back?"
"Oops."
He knew that he couldn't take the Gryffindor sword with him so easily.
Moriarty continued, "The four founders established Hogwarts with the intention of protecting more young wizards."
"Hogwarts is not just a school, but also a magical fortress!"
"A thousand years ago, the four great masters and Hogwarts faced a more powerful enemy and were in a more dangerous situation than they are now."
"But Hogwarts still stands strong!"
"The original Hogwarts only had four top wizards, but the current Hogwarts boasts the strongest wizarding team of the 21st century!"
"Let us restore Hogwarts to its original form, the Hogwarts at its peak, created by our own hands!"
"Oh yeah!"
"Thank you, Moriarty!"
"Bravo Hogwarts!"
"The strongest wizarding team of the 21st century!"
Cheers erupted like explosions from all directions, reaching Hermione's ears.
The entire auditorium seemed to be immersed in a sea of joy.
Hermione was overwhelmed with emotion. This was her Moriarty brother, whose words had completely changed the morale of her side.
As Moriarty spoke, the ghosts and Peeves that had been wandering in the castle also came out.
Having witnessed Hogwarts year after year, their direct feeling upon seeing all this was that the four great masters had returned!
"Speak to me."
Moriarty held the Slytherin staff aloft, his expression solemn.
"The greatest of the four great leaders, Slytherin!"
"Speak to me."
"The most intelligent of the four, Ravenclaw!"
"Speak to me."
"The kindest of the four, Hufflepuff!"
"Speak to me."
"The most powerful of the four leaders, Gryffindor!"
"Boom!"
The castle emitted a series of muffled thuds, and Hogwarts transformed!
(Have a great weekend, guys!)
