The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 456 The Lame Professor

Tom rushed into the alchemy classroom, and the scene inside astonished him.

The tiered chairs were all split up individually, growing out two short, thick arms and two short, thick wooden legs.

Like little warriors, they launched a fierce attack on a Voldemort-like figure on the podium.

They used their backs to form round shields to protect their bodies, approaching Voldemort step by step, surging in from all directions, slowly but effectively compressing Voldemort's fighting space.

By the time Tom approached the podium, Voldemort had been cornered with nowhere to retreat.

"What the hell are these things?" Tom grumbled, glancing at Voldemort's predicament. "I've been cornered by a bunch of goblin-like creatures."

"I can't rush in," Tom said, finding a spot on the edge of the classroom to hide. "Those things that look like alchemical artifacts are both surrounding Voldemort and providing him with maximum protection."

"Don't die here, Voldemort."

Tom began to pray for Voldemort, and then he heard a loud noise coming from a door at the back of the classroom, as if someone was coming out.

"It's Nicolas Flamel!"

"It's that old bastard Nicolas Flamel!"

Tom and Voldemort both thought of the same thing.

Voldemort realized that today's operation had failed. If he didn't get rid of these annoying things as soon as possible, things would get complicated once Nicolas Flamel came out.

"Um!"

William grunted and swung his wand forcefully. A brilliant red light flashed, and a series of explosions occurred on the "desk soldiers".

Soon a large blank space appeared around William. William rushed towards the exit, constantly shaking his wrist and releasing spells.

"Ha, don't even think about stopping me!"

Desks were constantly being blown away, and splinters of broken wood were flying everywhere as the spell struck them. William cleared a path and rushed to the classroom exit.

At the same time, Nicolas Flamel also came out, wearing a silver-white dressing robe, and immediately noticed Voldemort, who was wearing a black cloak.

Nicolas Flamel shakily extended his right hand, holding an old wand, and gently flicked the wand.

"Snap!"

A gate descended at the professor's door, its silvery-white color indicating its weight. Voldemort reacted swiftly, aiming his wand at the gate.

"Thunderous explosion!"

Voldemort's eyes were filled with madness. If he couldn't stay hidden, he would turn the world upside down!

"boom!"

The gate was blasted open, creating a huge breach, and Voldemort had already made his escape.

But Nicolas Flamel walked over slowly.

"I set a bounce spell on the door. It must feel bad to be bounced back by your own spell."

Nicolas Flamel lowered his head slightly, saw the blood splattered on the doorway, and curled the corners of his mouth into a smile.

Tom, who was hiding, felt a pang in his heart.

"Niccolò Flamel was ruthless. Who would put a reflective spell on their own front door? If Voldemort had used the Killing Curse, then..."

Tom gave Nicolas Flamel a deep look; the battle that night had left a lasting impression on him.

Voldemort, whose soul was divided into seven parts and whose brain was also divided into seven pieces, suffered a great loss at the hands of Nicolas Flamel.

Upon hearing Madame Flamel call for Nicolas Flamel, Tom seized the opportunity to sneak out.

Meanwhile, Voldemort was controlling William to escape. The alchemy classroom was in a dead end, and if someone came to block it, even ten Voldemors wouldn't be able to break through.

"Slap, slap, slap..."

Blood dripped into the underground corridor. William had a fist-sized hole in his left calf, which went straight through his entire leg.

Voldemort's injuries slowed his escape considerably.

"That damned old man."

Voldemort gritted his teeth as he faced Nicolas Flamel for the first time.

He thought that no old man in the world, except Dumbledore, could trouble him.

Even the first Dark Lord, Grindelwald, was not taken seriously by Voldemort, who believed that he only needed a small spell to end Grindelwald's life.

But today, Voldemort was outmaneuvered.

Dragging his injured leg, Voldemort limped out.

He had no idea that Harry and Draco were right there on the road ahead.

They heard the explosion in the alchemy classroom and the sound of hurried footsteps.

As they drew closer, Draco and Harry knew the guy who had barged into the classroom was coming. They held their breath and hid against the wall as much as possible.

But how could two living people just disappear into thin air?

Draco and Harry exchanged a glance and saw the fear and helplessness in each other's eyes.

"We're going to be found out!" Harry said softly, his face crestfallen.

Just as the two were terrified, Harry and Draco simultaneously felt a cold sensation on the top of their heads.

The icy chill ran down my spine.

At the same time, a cool but exceptionally pleasant voice gently rang out.

"Don't speak."

Draco suddenly realized something, looked down, and found himself invisible.

And look at Harry, it's the same!

"Illusionary Body Charm!"

Draco was overjoyed; he was saved.

The next moment, Voldemort stormed out.

The black cloak covered him completely, so Draco and Harry couldn't see his face, only his limp.

"I have an injury on my leg."

The two of them made a note of it without prior arrangement.

Voldemort didn't notice the two first-year students by the wall; all he could think about was escaping.

Fortunately, he hadn't completely lost his mind and knew how to clean up the bloodstains.

No one noticed that a small, silvery-white snake was crawling peacefully on the ceiling of the passageway.

The little snake's eyes gleamed with a human-like thoughtfulness. The moment Voldemort appeared, it shifted its body, intending to follow him.

But Draco suddenly felt a gust of wind pass by, carrying a slight chill.

A tiny drop of water splashed onto Draco's hair.

Draco shook his head. He'd had that feeling just now. Was it a hallucination?

He didn't think too much about it, assuming he had just caught a cold.

But the little white snake stared intently at the underground exit, as if someone were there.

"Was it someone Moriarty arranged to monitor the man in the black cloak from earlier?"

The little white snake flicked its tongue. "Fine, since Moriarty is paying attention to this, I won't interfere."

Its gaze shifted to the two first-year students below, and a hint of a smile appeared in its eerie green light.

"Instead of sleeping in the middle of the night, you're out for a night stroll! Watch how I scare you!"

It immediately dismissed the idea.

"Forget it, they've been too frightened tonight. Let's take them home."

The little snake fell from the top and, upon landing, reverted to human form, transforming into Lilith!

Lilith dispelled the Disillusionment Charm and said to Draco and Harry, "Come on, kids, the adventure is over. You should go back to sleep."

Draco and Harry stared in disbelief as Lilith descended from the sky.

"That's so cool, Senior Pilivik!"

The next morning, Moriarty was invited to the Slytherin common room by Lilith, who said she had a surprise for him.

Then Moriarty saw Draco and Harry, and apologized with guilty expressions.

After listening to their words, Moriarty said with amusement, "So, you broke four school rules last night and were almost discovered by the mysterious wizard who broke into the classroom. If Lilith hadn't saved you, the school would be looking for your corpses by now."

"We didn't come away empty-handed."

"We saw that the man had a limp!"

"He was bleeding all the way!"

Harry and Draco desperately tried to explain, hoping to salvage their image in Moriarty's eyes.

"A very useful clue, but going out at night is not advisable."

Moriarty saw the two first-year students, who had stayed up all night but were still full of energy, off. "Just a heads up," he said, "your Potions professor doesn't like being late."

"Ah no!" Draco blinked.

"Oh no, the first class is Potions for Gryffindor and Slytherin!" Harry realized belatedly.

"Run!"

Goodbye, Mr. Moriarty.

The two didn't forget to turn around and say hello.

Moriarty closed the stone wall of the common room and turned to Lilith.

"Professor Snape is really something, he made them completely forget that their senior was also out for a night stroll last night."

Lilith smiled brightly: "I go for a night stroll every day~"

Five minutes later, Harry and Draco ran breathlessly into the Potions classroom.

"Thankfully, the Slytherin dungeons and classrooms are underground." Draco ran to the last row and sat down, with Harry next to him.

That's when they realized Professor Snape wasn't there!

"Huh? I'm already 3 minutes late. Professor Snape is actually late. I never thought I'd see that again."

In Draco's memory, Stalin was never late.

Two minutes later, the classroom door was pushed open with a bang.

Professor Snape limped in.

He looked like he hadn't slept well; he had dark circles under his eyes and his face was pale.

Harry realized something, his mouth dropped open in surprise, and he began to tremble all over!

He mechanically turned his head to look at Draco, only to find that Draco was equally shocked.

"Draco, Professor, you're lame."

"I...I know..."

"No way... right?"
