The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 455 Stealing the Magic Stone!
Moriarty skillfully dribbled the water polo ball, making a series of moves that only basketball players could do.
Tom's screams echoed from inside the water balloon.
"No!"
"I was knocked unconscious, are you trying to kill me?!"
"You know better than I do that the soul doesn't dissipate from a collision."
Moriarty kept spinning the water balloon while holding it up with one index finger.
"Actually, I'm helping you, Tom. You can feel it, right? Water is sloshing around; it's very malleable. The soul is the same. Why can't you change shape like water?"
"Shaping...?"
Tom was clever; he immediately thought of it.
"I see, I know what to do now."
Tom controlled his mental power, releasing powerful magic that covered the surface of the water.
"Oh? Has it started?"
Sensing the magic, Moriarty stopped spinning and let the water sphere slowly rise into the air.
Gradually, the water sphere began to rotate, and a human face appeared on the surface of the water.
A face sculpted like a knife and axe, eyes closed, beautiful lips, and a straight nose.
Hmm, the nose.
She also has naturally curly, black, medium-length hair.
Moriarty smiled slightly. To be fair, Tom was very handsome.
"Well…"
The mouth parted and uttered a syllable.
"Am I...resurrected?"
Tom uttered a sentence haltingly, still feeling somewhat unaccustomed to being on the water balloon.
"With your guidance, I can finally speak."
Tom's eyes lit up, and he turned his gaze to Moriarty.
"I think I can do better?" Tom said thoughtfully. "Maybe you can give me a little more time? The me of fifty years from now won't start acting so quickly. Believe me, he'll have become a fool."
"If you can guarantee that you can sculpt the limbs, I can give you some time."
Moriarty saw right through Tom's plan.
Tom felt a chill run down his spine. Moriarty gave him the impression of being omniscient. He then gave a wry smile: "Alright, alright, you win again. You're absolutely right. I need to create limbs. I need to cast a spell..."
Moriarty interrupted him, "You even want a magic wand, a body, look at what wonderful wishes you have—make a wish to Santa Claus, and he'll give you a Christmas present."
"I hate Santa Claus!" Tom shook his head coldly. "I'll get what I want myself."
Perhaps feeling cooped up in his laptop, Tom chatted with Moriarty about many topics.
Tom truly deserves the praise of all the professors and students at Hogwarts except for Dumbledore.
Despite knowing Moriarty's ambition and darkness, chatting with him was still a pleasant and comfortable experience.
Tom wasn't idle either; during their conversation, he had already managed to conjure up a shoulder.
"Will I see a Waterman tomorrow morning, Tom?"
Before going to sleep, Moriarty asked a question with a smile.
Tonight, there are no Violet's soft, warm little feet, no Tonks's fragrant embrace, and no Penelope's doting affections.
Sleeping alone is really not something I'm used to.
Moriarty fell asleep, leaving Tom alone to grapple with the water balloon.
In an effort to create a human form for himself, Tom went to great lengths, using a little magic every day to change the shape of the water.
A week later, Tom finally transformed the water sphere he was in into a water person.
The height and build were sculpted exactly to Tom's own measurements. Moriarty nodded in satisfaction as he watched Tom hopping and jumping around on his bedroom floor.
"Clap clap clap".
Moriarty clapped his hands. "Alright, little Tom, your uncle understands your excitement—you've been locked in that laptop for too long, but you don't need to perform a gorilla dance for me like that, do you? Absolutely not."
Tom's eyes blazed with fury. "You..."
Moriarty silenced him with a wave of his hand. "Are you sending out mating signals? Okay, your uncle will remember. I'll find you a partner later. You'd better do your best to produce offspring for the Slytherin family."
Satisfied to see Tom curl up into a water balloon and roll under the table, Moriarty laughed heartily, his tone becoming serious.
"Listen, Tom, your chance has come."
"This week, Voldemort has figured out the situation in the castle and has been out on patrol for three consecutive nights. He will most likely do the same tonight."
"You can go to him, but I forbid you from killing the wizard he's possessing, and if you meet Harry Potter, you can't consume the seventh soul fragment in him."
"Gurgle~"
The water balloon rolled out.
With a "splat," it turned into a water person.
Tom exclaimed in surprise, "Harry Potter also has a fragment of his soul inside him?!"
"Don't even think about hitting him," Moriarty warned.
Harry's nighttime outing begins with his successful selection to the Slytherin team.
That night, Harry was too excited to sleep. He stayed in the common room until late.
He discovered that Pansy had sneaked out, so he followed her out.
As they walked to the library, they discovered that Pansy had come to see Draco.
Harry felt that he and Draco were friends, so the next day he asked Draco to go for a night out together.
And so, they inevitably ran into William, who was also out for a night stroll.
Voldemort has taken notice of Harry, and after a week of his attention, Ron has been brainwashed by Voldemort.
Perhaps Ron wouldn't kill Voldemort's parents, but if he were asked to go to the alchemy classroom and steal a stone, Ron wouldn't even blink.
Moriarty's judgment was correct. Tonight, Voldemort is out again, and this time, he attempts to steal the Philosopher's Stone.
"If you ask who Voldemort's nemesis is, people will say Harry Potter. But only I know that you are Voldemort's nemesis."
Moriarty patted Tom on the shoulder.
"Go, Slytherin descendant. Live up to the name of Slytherin."
Tom walked out with his head held high and chest out.
Moriarty wasn't worried at all about Tom betraying him.
Tom possesses the Water Man, and as long as it's water, it can never escape Moriarty's control.
It's 1 a.m., at the library.
Harry and Draco kept copying spells from the spellbook onto the parchment.
"We won't get expelled, right?" Harry's trembling voice betrayed his inner tension.
"You've asked me a hundred times since last night," Draco rolled his eyes and muttered, "I promise I won't get expelled. Come on, copy a few more."
"Oh, okay," Harry said, still a little hesitant. "I just don't want to get expelled. I have nowhere else to go but here."
"Fool, you're the savior! The Ministry of Magic won't just let you go homeless," Draco thought of another way to encourage Harry. "You don't want to be outdone by Longbottom, do you?"
"That Longbottom kid, his Potions class performance was so-so, but his Charms, Herbalism, and Transfiguration classes were amazing! Are you willing to let him outshine you?"
"Hmm... I'm not satisfied." Harry said firmly, "Alright, let's continue."
"That's right." Draco smiled.
The two of them grabbed a few more and then made their escape.
On the way back, as they passed the basement, Harry stopped moving.
"What's wrong?"
"Didn't you hear me?"
"What did you hear?"
Draco thought Harry was acting strangely.
"Oh, Merlin!" Harry exclaimed incredulously. "There was a hissing sound, didn't you hear it!"
"Hissing?" Draco suddenly remembered something, his eyes widening. "Snakes... Parseltongue."
"Could it be Mr. Moriarty? That can't be... Come on, let's go see." Draco scratched his head. "Slow down, slow down."
Harry followed him into the basement.
Later on, Draco ended up following Harry because Harry could hear Parseltongue.
After walking for a while, Draco's eyes lit up. "Isn't this the way to the alchemy classroom? But Professor Nicolas Flamel doesn't speak Parseltongue, nor does he keep any snakes."
Draco, without bothering to explain to Harry, ran underground.
Then they saw that the door to alchemy was wide open!
"That's strange. I heard from Soldaya that this door is never opened at night because Professor Nicolas Flamel lives inside."
Draco stroked his chin, while Harry frowned, clutching his head in anguish, and said, "The hissing is getting louder... I think I hear—where? Where? No!"
"You...you're a Parsley!" Draco exclaimed in shock. "What happened in there?"
Draco and Harry were at a loss.
This was also the first time they had encountered this situation.
Harry squatted down on the ground, feeling a headache coming on. Draco looked at the open door, which was dark and gaping inside, like the mouth of a giant beast.
Draco shivered.
What should I do?
Suddenly Draco felt a breeze pass by, carrying a slight chill.
A tiny drop of water splashed onto Draco's hair.
The person who came was Tom.
After he came out, he easily found Voldemort and followed him from a distance.
Following him, Tom discovers that Voldemort's target is the alchemy classroom.
"Ha, he must have gone to steal Nicolas Flamel's Philosopher's Stone. He's not that stupid."
Tom was relieved after he figured it out.
He knew the alchemy classroom's address all too well; he had been to the secret room over a hundred times.
You can find it even with your eyes closed.
Until Draco and Harry accidentally went underground, Tom made himself invisible and followed behind them.
He also had his own ulterior motives.
If Harry is discovered by Voldemort and persecuted, then Tom will come out to drive Voldemort away and then devour the seventh soul fragment in Harry's body.
That way, it wouldn't be considered disobeying Moriarty's orders, right?
However, Tom didn't expect this.
Harry was too weak to walk because of his headache, and it seemed like a battle was taking place in the alchemy classroom?
Tom also spoke Parsley, a language Harry couldn't understand but Tom could. He deduced from Voldemort's hissing that Voldemort was injured.
It was a serious one.
Tom couldn't hold back any longer and rushed towards the alchemy classroom.
If it's any later, Voldemort might be killed by Nicolas Flamel, right?
Who knows if that 700-year-old monster can still wield the magic wand!
(Bonus Chapter 2! Before I started writing, I remembered that today is the start of the new school year for many students, which reminded me of my own school days when I didn't do my holiday homework and finished it the night before school started. In today's terms, it was all about a pen, a lamp, a night, and a miracle. Haha, writing this felt like stepping back in time. I'm sure there are other students like me; I'm not alone! I also want to create a miracle with just a pen!)
