The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 164 Draco Arrives

Chapter 164 Draco Arrives

Mrs. Malfoy bought five of the latest wizard robes from the Elegant Wizarding Clothing Shop: one for herself, one for Draco, and one for Pansy.

There's also a set in Lucius Malfoy's size.

In fact, Madame Malfoy didn't throw away any of Lucius's clothes; she kept them in their bedroom.

Perhaps in her heart, her husband will one day come back, wear the luxury brand clothes she bought for him, and attend a banquet together.

Draco observed all of this. The violet wizard robe made him appear much older, but the last wizard robe that Lady Malfoy bought left Draco somewhat puzzled.

This height... makes him look like a short wizard?

However, the width of his shoulders and hips resembles that of a man.

Draco was very curious about who this person was.

Before he could even ask, Mrs. Malfoy had already settled the price and said she would take Draco into Hogwarts.

Draco thought he'd misheard. "Mom, you said you wanted me to take you to Hogwarts? But I'm not even 11 yet..."

"You're right, but today, on behalf of the twelve school board members, Mom donated a large sum of Galleons to Hogwarts so that Hogwarts could use it to buy owls."

Lady Malfoy patted Draco's blond head gently, saying, "So my child, you can come in with me. This is a rare opportunity, and I hope you can experience school life in advance. Most importantly, see how your future seniors learn magic."

Draco nodded silently. After Lucius's death, he locked himself in his bedroom for several days, thinking a lot and believing he was prepared for the storm.

If all goes well, he will enter Slytherin House in two years, and then the future upperclassman his mother was talking about is...

Moriarty Slytherin!

The name immediately popped into Draco's mind.

Since last year, he has heard Lucius mention this name at least five times a day!

And also, Lilith Pilivik!

Draco frowned. He had met this senior student not long ago, and he disliked Lilith's gaze.

The way she looked at the mother and child was like looking at a frightened doe and her fawn!

With pity, charity, and mockery.

In the past, Draco was the one who looked at others with that kind of gaze, but now it was his turn to be looked at like that.

And also, Soldaya Selwyn!

Draco gritted his teeth as he thought of this senior who was two years older than him.

"You'd never guess, I've come to see you all!" Draco muttered to himself, pondering how to make a lasting impression on his upperclassmen.

Twenty minutes later, Malfoy and his mother arrived at Snape's office using Floo Powder.

Before they could even stand properly, Snape's voice rang out, "I am saddened by what happened to Lucius, Narcissa."

Snape pursed his thin lips, forming a slightly sad expression.

He was very familiar with Mrs. Malfoy, so he addressed her by her first name. They had known each other since their school days, when Lucius was Snape's prefect and had looked after him.

"Severus, thank you." Mrs. Malfoy nodded, and Draco greeted her in return.

"His funeral is on Friday, can you come?"

"I will definitely go."

"Alright." Mrs. Malfoy didn't want to linger on the topic of Lucius any longer and stated her purpose: "I'm here to see Headmaster Dumbledore, as you know."

"In the headmaster's office, I'll take you there." Snape was as taciturn as ever.

Just as they were about to leave the office, Mrs. Malfoy suddenly said, "Severus, could you be Draco's godfather?"

Snape glanced at Draco, thought for a moment, and said, "We'll talk about it later."

Lady Malfoy sighed, "Surely he can have a tour of the castle."

Draco's eyes lit up with a long-absent anticipation: "May I go to the Slytherin common room?"

Snape struggled to suppress a sneer; he couldn't resist the urge to mock, but considering the boy had just lost his father, the words that came out were: "If you can get into the Slytherin dungeons, I can be your godfather."

"Don't do this," Mrs. Malfoy said irritably. "Draco isn't going to the Slytherin dungeons; he has to deliver this wizarding robe to Moriarty Slytherin for me."

Draco and Snape stared at Mrs. Malfoy in astonishment; her words had truly caught them off guard.

Lady Malfoy took the wizard's robe out of her bag, which was enchanted with a Stretch-Without-Trace Charm, and handed it to Draco.

"As a token of our gratitude, go ahead, Draco. I believe you can handle this. Making new friends is the first step to success—just like your father did."

Draco was initially unwilling.

His mother bought a gift for a boy who was three years older than him and asked him to deliver it.

But upon hearing the last sentence, Draco suddenly had an epiphany: make new friends! What does a wizard's robe matter if he can be friends with Moriarty?

Even though this wizard's robe is an expensive limited edition.

Draco touched the softness of the wizard's robe in his arms and nodded.

"Moriarty's at the Quidditch pitch," Snape reminded him. Draco paused for a moment, then ran out quickly.

"Thank you, Severus," Mrs. Malfoy said sincerely.

Snape said nothing and led Mrs. Malfoy toward the headmaster's office.

After Draco ran out of the office, he realized he was lost. When he mustered up the courage to ask a girl for directions, she blinked her bright blue eyes.

"You're going to the Quidditch pitch? I'm going too, let's go together. Excuse me, you don't seem to be a Hogwarts student? No offense, but you look quite young."

"Yes," Draco replied with a touch of pride, "my name is Draco Malfoy, and I came with my mother."

"Oh! Malfoy? You mean that Malfoy?"

"If you're talking about platinum aristocrats, then that's me." Even his father's death couldn't diminish Draco's pride. He straightened his hair and raised his neck like his mother.

However, he didn't notice that the girl's eyes were full of sympathy when she looked at him.

What an unfortunate boy! His father was killed by a vampire, and his mother is being oppressed by an evil wizard. How pitiful.

Draco underestimated the level of interest the young Hogwarts wizards had in the Lucius affair. He swaggered down the street and soon arrived at the Quidditch pitch.

"So many people!" Draco exclaimed in surprise. Looking around, he saw wizards from all four houses standing at the edge of the field, excitedly discussing something.

"Is there a Quidditch match today?" His voice trembled slightly.

"No, but Moriarty has gathered a lot of Quidditch experts, and everyone wants to try out his new broom." The girl said, looking around, and finally found Moriarty surrounded by the crowd in the center of the pitch.

She abandoned Draco and walked toward Moriarty.

"Moriarty? A Quidditch expert? A new kind of broom?"

The last time Moriarty came to visit, my dad and he seemed to be talking about the new brooms! He even said he'd give me one!

Draco realized what was happening and gave chase.

He soon noticed that the young wizards around him seemed to know she was going to see Moriarty, and they made way for the girl, so he quickly followed behind.

They walked unimpeded to Moriarty's side, where Moriarty was surrounded by a group of people, including Lilith, who had visited his home last time!

And Soldaya!

Draco saw them and was about to come up with a shocking opening line when he saw Lilith looking in his direction.

"Penelope, when did you get a little follower?" Lilith said slowly, arms crossed.

"A little follower? I don't need one. I'm not a pampered young lady like you." Penelope smiled slightly.

Then he shrugged at Draco behind him. "I met him on the way here. He's that Malfoy."

In an instant, the stadium seemed to be paused, time seemed to stand still, and people fell silent, with only the whooshing sound of brooms in the wind.

With a "whoosh," everyone turned to look at Draco, startling him.

Draco noticed that the way these people were looking at him was strange!
