Chapter 66 The End
What exactly is that thing?
Alistair had no idea what was going on. His brain couldn't process what it was in such a short time. Wasn't Vitas a warrior? There was absolutely no trace of a wizard in him. He was just an ordinary mortal, without any magical skills or creativity.
Even now, he has not sensed any trace of fluctuations in the magic network.
But if these aren't spells, how did Vitas manage to do it?
Is there anything else in the world besides magic that can achieve this? The magic used by the sorcerers relies on their faith and pathetic ignorance, while the dwarves think they have grasped the laws of the physical world, but in reality they know nothing about the world at all.
It is said that necromancers discovered the special function of the soul, but these blasphemous wizards could only explain the world in a worse way.
How exactly did Vitas do that? Alistair isn't confident he can handle it if he doesn't figure out how he did it.
He was a proud wizard, but not a foolish one; he knew there were many things in this world he didn't know.
"Draco Battle Servant Summoning Technique!"
This is a spell created by his teacher, capable of summoning battle servants constructed from magic. The number summoned depends on the level of the summoner's magic power and spells, and with Alistair's level, he can summon one hundred and fifty.
This should have been a powerful weapon in battle against warriors, but when he saw his summoned invisible servants being killed in just a few seconds by those fire undead, he knew that these people were no match for the one summoned by his enemy.
Am I seeing a ghost?
Alistair is looking for the best opportunity to escape. He hasn't had time to disengage his spatial anchor yet, otherwise, using spatial magic could create even more advantages.
Alistair wanted to escape, but the cavalry's first charge had shattered his outermost magical shield. He had to replace the shield unit in front of him with the intact shield units behind him, and the regeneration of the dimensional shield would take time.
However, Vitas's cavalry was already prepared for another charge, and there was simply not enough time and distance for him to use his flying technique.
He tried to run, but he was too tired and couldn't run at all.
After this is over, he really needs to suggest to his teacher that wizards should pay more attention to their physical training, so that even if they can't reach the level of the best warriors, they can at least be able to escape in time.
"One more time."
Alistair was still struggling, and the lightning staff in his hand continued to explode.
These damned summons also have considerable spell resistance; these guys are definitely not normal creatures.
How many spells are left?
Alistair chanted rapidly, and just as his magical shield was completely shattered, he finally completed the flight spell.
He hurriedly disengaged from the battlefield, but only managed to rise to a height of four meters before being shot by archers who were already prepared dozens of meters away.
Vitas's lips curled into a mocking smile.
These wizards indeed lacked sufficient combat experience, and their ranged firepower was difficult to utilize in battles on flat ground due to the overlapping of personnel.
Choosing to disengage gives archers room to deal damage.
When a wizard is at a disadvantage in close combat, he will try to escape, and in this process, he is most likely to become a target for archers.
Alistair relied on the remaining dimensional shield on his body to continue increasing his height, but more arrows came flying in, trying to turn him into a hedgehog.
Alistair knew he didn't have much time left, so he began to cast spells.
After the spell was completed, his dimensional shield was finally broken, and dozens of arrows pierced through his body.
It all felt like their first encounter. Vitas narrowed his eyes. He knew this wizard would prepare a spell to save his life, and the spell he had just cast was undoubtedly that kind of spell.
"Everyone, prepare yourselves! Resist the spell!"
He gave this command instinctively, just as Vitas had warned his companions when they were still alive: do not be harmed by magic, do not die under the insidious spells of wizards.
The good news is, at least, that they will not die again.
Sure enough, Alistair's body, pierced by the arrow, disappeared and turned into a shadow. The next second, the shadow appeared in the air.
"Damn, wizards have quite the imagination when it comes to things like this."
Vitas complained, while Alistair's spell was already complete.
The spell that protects the caster by creating a shadow clone grants the caster a period of invulnerability, during which time the caster can unleash a powerful spell.
"Let's see how tough your life really is."
Alistair's hands glowed, and about five seconds later, several enormous stones fell from the sky.
Holy crap.
Wizards' spells always oscillate between the incredibly complex and the unexpectedly ordinary.
Wizards sometimes perform things related to abstract rules such as space and time, but sometimes they do the simplest things, such as creating a huge rock and throwing it down.
Such a large rock is truly a spectacle.
The stones drew ever closer, seemingly appearing out of thin air. He eventually determined that each stone was larger than a house, capable of covering dozens of people, and that these stones could completely engulf everyone Vitas had summoned.
boom!
Several huge craters were smashed into the ground, and Alistair floated in the air, looking down at the earth.
Spells like meteorite falls aren't particularly popular among wizards due to their simple appearance and highly impactful effects.
However, it often proves surprisingly effective when facing a larger number of enemies.
Even if these people have magic resistance, they will still suffer casualties when facing these boulders, whose physical attributes are more prominent.
Alistair awaits his victory.
Alistair saw these massive stones that had appeared on the ground. They had shattered into countless smaller pieces, colliding with each other.
"Hahaha, looks like I won in the end!"
"Really?"
He heard Vitas's voice.
"What?"
He was high in the air, but Vitas's voice sounded as if he were right next to him.
How is that possible?
He turned his head abruptly, but there was nothing there.
On the ground, an arrow flew up, spanning hundreds of meters, defying gravity, and pierced Alistair's body.
"what?"
There were already thousands of fire undead on the ground, rising from the ruins, and Vitas, with the boost from such a large number of undead, shot Alistair.
