The third wave of attacks has arrived. This time, it's coming from two directions simultaneously.

To the left, lightning arrived before the monster. A blue-white bolt of lightning struck from the depths of the dense forest, not at any one person, but in the clearing in the center of the camp. The ground blasted open into a scorched crater, the soil burned into a glassy state, emitting a pungent ozone smell.

Then came the second, the third, the fourth... Lightning rained down like a storm, without any pattern or pause, each strike precisely hitting the most densely populated area.

Some were turned to charcoal by lightning, some were electrocuted and jumped up before collapsing and convulsing, and some didn't even have time to scream before becoming smoking corpses.

The Lightning Goblin emerged from the darkness.

It is twice the size of a normal goblin, but compared to the Minotaur King, it is as small as a child.

Its skin was an abnormal grayish-white, covered with fine, bluish-purple lines, as if something was flowing beneath its skin... It was the energy of lightning, visible to the naked eye, like small snakes swimming in its blood vessels.

It wore a tattered robe, grayish-blue in color, with scorched edges and wisps of smoke rising from the hem. In its hand, it held a staff, the tip of which was inlaid with a fist-sized blue gem crackling with electricity.

With each jewel's pulsation, a bolt of lightning would strike down from the sky. Its eyes were bright blue, devoid of emotion, containing only a pure, almost fanatical intensity, as if its entire consciousness had been consumed by lightning.

A smile played on its lips, not a mockery, not excitement, but a purer kind of satisfaction, like doing something it loved to do.

Behind it was a dense forest ignited by lightning.

The trees were burning, their trunks split open, their crowns crackling in the flames. The firelight danced in the darkness, casting the long, long shadow of the lightning goblin, like a demon crawling out of hell.

To the right, the ground began to tremble violently. It wasn't the sudden, explosive tremor of a lightning strike, but a heavy, rhythmic tremor, as if some enormous creature was approaching.

The trees were knocked askew by something, and broken branches and leaves fell from their crowns like a small avalanche. The Minotaur King Sauta emerged from the darkness.

It was enormous, at least five meters tall, a size larger than any minotaur they had ever seen before. Its muscles bulged like compressed rocks, and its skin wasn't the typical greyish-brown of a minotaur, but a deeper, dark bronze, like rusted iron, covered in battle scars…

Some had already turned white, some were still pink new flesh, and some were still oozing faint traces of blood.

Its head was a massive bull's skull, with horns curved like scimitars, their tips so sharp they reflected light in the dark, each longer than an adult's arm. Scraps of flesh and cloth clung to the horns... the remains of those it had gored to death.

Its eyes were blood red, without pupils, only two balls of ferocious flame burning in the darkness. White mist spewed from its nostrils, each exhale sounding like thunder.

It held a massive battle axe in its hand, the blade wider than a human body. The handle was wrapped with worn leather rope, stained with dried blood, some blackened, some still dark red. It stood there like a mobile fortress.

Beneath its feet, the ground cracked, each step leaving a deep footprint, with gravel and mud squeezing out from the edges of the footprints like crushed bones.

Its breathing was heavy and slow, like an old bellows that could break down at any moment, but there was no weariness in its eyes, only a pure, primal killing intent that wanted to tear everything in front of it apart.

The Lightning Goblin raised its staff.

The blue gem at the top of the staff suddenly lit up, shining like a small sun, so bright it was blinding.

A bolt of lightning, as thick as a bucket, shot out from the gemstone, soaring into the sky before exploding in the clouds like a blooming blue-white flower. Drawn by the lightning, the clouds began to churn, and dark clouds surged in from all directions, obscuring the already thin moonlight, plunging the entire dense forest into an even deeper darkness.

Then, the lightning began.

This wasn't the sporadic, tentative lightning of before, but a real, overwhelming thunderstorm. Lightning cascaded down from the clouds like a waterfall, one after another, overlapping each other, densely packed and without gaps.

Blue flashes of lightning flickered in the darkness, illuminating the entire camp as brightly as day, then extinguished, then lit up again, then extinguished again, like a broken flashlight flashing wildly. Thunder rolled in after the lightning, not with a single, deafening boom, but a continuous rumble, like countless trains passing overhead, a deafening roar that made eardrums ache, hearts pound, and minds go blank.

In an instant, most of the camp was turned into a pool of lightning.

The ground was riddled with holes from the lightning strikes, leaving charred craters and smoking cracks everywhere. Trees were split in two, burning as they fell, crashing onto tents, vehicles, and people.

When a person is struck by lightning, it's not like in novels where they "collapse and die, their body charred black." Instead, their skin vaporizes the instant the lightning strikes, their muscles are charred, and their fat burns under the high temperature. The whole person is like a lit torch, burning in the blue-white electric light, emitting a pungent smell, before collapsing, convulsing, and then remaining still.

Sauta, the Minotaur, moved.

It lowered its head, horns pointing forward, and charged towards the crowd like an out-of-control heavy truck. Its speed was completely disproportionate to its size; every step it took trembled as it stepped on the ground, and with each step, someone was trampled into mincemeat under its feet.

It charged in front of an armored vehicle, its horns ramming into the body. The armored vehicle's sheet metal was torn apart like paper, and the entire vehicle was thrown off course, tumbling three or four times in the air before crashing to the ground. The fuel tank ruptured, gasoline leaked out, and then it was ignited by a bolt of lightning, exploding into a fireball.

Its battle axe was brandished among the crowd.

Wherever the axe blade passed, the human body was sliced open like butter being cut by a hot knife—not chopped, but sliced. The cuts were as clean as if they had been laser-cut, and blood gushed out—not spurted, but gushed, like someone turning on a tap.

A guild's shield warrior stood in front of it with his shield raised. The battle axe cleaved down, splitting the shield in two. The shield warrior's body was cleaved from shoulder to waist, and the two halves fell to the left and right.
