"I have a third teammate." Someone in the tent frowned. "Three teammates, plus you, that makes four people. Commander Bai gave you a limit of three, and you've already used them all." Su Mu nodded. "I know. His name is Chen Jun, he doesn't have a profession, just an ordinary person."

A moment of silence fell over the tent. Then someone spoke, their tone clearly skeptical. "An ordinary person? You're not kidding, are you? Bringing an ordinary person along at a time like this? Wouldn't that just be a hindrance?"

Su Mu did not explain. He brought Chen Jun along not because Chen Jun was a good fighter, but because of Chen Jun's character.

From day one, Chen Jun had been helping him cut down trees and sharpen arrows, never slacking off.

He always diligently completed the tasks assigned to him by Su Mu, never complaining. Now that Su Mu had this opportunity, he figured he might as well take on one more person; he was going to take on one person anyway, and taking on several wouldn't make a difference. He didn't care what others thought.

Su Mu opened his communicator and sent a message to Lin Xiaohe: "Are you there?"

The reply came almost instantly: "Yes!"

Su Mu's lips curled up slightly. "I've formed a team at the meeting place, and I'll bring you along."

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end. Then a message came through, the tone filled with a cautious, almost disbelieving, anticipation: "Really?"

"Um."

"I'll be right there!"

Su Mu turned off the communicator. Less than three minutes later, Lin Xiaohe appeared at the tent entrance.

Her face was flushed, and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, indicating she had run there. She stood at the tent entrance, glanced at everyone present, and then her gaze settled on Su Mu.

Her eyes lit up for a moment, but quickly returned to their usual indifferent expression. She walked over to Su Mu, sat down, and didn't say anything, but the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.

Su Mu opened his communicator again and sent a message to Chen Jun: "Are you busy?"

Chen Jun replied quickly. "Brother Su! What's up?"

"Come to the military camp. I've formed a team, and I'll take you there."

There was a long silence on the other end, so long that Su Mu thought something had happened to him.

Then a message popped up, carrying a cautious, disbelieving hesitation. "Brother Su...you're not kidding, are you? I'm just an ordinary person, I don't even have any talent. Wouldn't I just be a burden to you guys if I went? I'm doing fine here sharpening arrows, don't worry about me."

Su Mu frowned. "Just come when I tell you to. Stop with the nonsense."

There was silence on the other end again, then a message appeared: "Okay... I'll be right there!"

Su Mu turned off the communicator. He knew Chen Jun's personality; it wasn't that he didn't want to come, but that he was embarrassed to. However, if Su Mu asked, he wouldn't refuse. That was Chen Jun.

Su Mu sent Lin Yuwei a final message: "Are you there?"

The other end replied with a single word: "Hmph."

Su Mu's lips twitched. "I've formed a team, do you want to join?"

"I'm not going."

Why?

I don't want to see you.

Su Mu remained silent for a moment. "About the egg liquid..."

"Shut up!"

Su Mu shut up. A few seconds later, another message came from the other end: "How many people?"

"Including you, there are five."

Who are they?

"Lin Xiaohe, Chen Jun."

There was a moment of silence on the other end. "Who is Chen Jun?"

"A friend has helped me a lot."

After a moment of silence, he said, "Send me your location."

Su Mu sent the coordinates. There was no further reply, but Su Mu knew she would come. It wasn't that she didn't want to come; she just needed a way out. Su Mu gave her that, and she accepted.

A dozen minutes later, Chen Jun appeared at the tent entrance. He was wearing a wrinkled coat, his backpack was bulging, and he was carrying a bag in his hand, the contents of which were unclear. When he saw the person inside the tent, he visibly tensed up, paused for a moment, his Adam's apple bobbed, and then he took a deep breath and stepped inside.

"Brother Su."

Su Mu nodded. "Sit down."

Chen Jun sat down next to Su Mu, placed the bag at his feet, and rubbed his hands on his knees. Lin Xiaohe glanced at him without speaking, but her eyes lacked the coldness one would show to a stranger; she simply looked at him calmly before looking away.

Lin Yuwei was the last to arrive.

When she walked into the tent, everyone's eyes turned to her. She was wearing a dark combat uniform, her hair was tied in a neat ponytail, and her face was expressionless, but her "don't mess with me" aura was very obvious.

Her gaze swept around the tent before landing on Su Mu. Su Mu nodded to her, and Lin Yuwei looked away, walking to sit down next to him. She didn't look at Su Mu or speak, but Su Mu noticed that her ears turned slightly red.

Chen Jun glanced at Lin Yuwei, then at Su Mu, before lowering his head and pretending to tidy his backpack.

Lin Xiaohe sat on the other side of Su Mu. She noticed Lin Yuwei's ear and Su Mu's expression. Her brows furrowed slightly, but she quickly relaxed and said nothing.

People were whispering inside the tent.

"Is this the crazy woman?"

"Yes, yes, that's her, the one who spent the whole day scrolling through it by herself."

"Looks like someone you don't want to mess with."

"Isn't her boyfriend that Su Mu? Why is there another woman here?"

Why are you so nosy?

The murmurs weren't loud, but Lin Yuwei heard them. She tapped her finger on the table.

Su Mu felt something touch his arm... He turned his head and saw Lin Yuwei looking elsewhere, but her elbow had indeed touched him.

Su Mu didn't know what she was trying to say, and he didn't ask.

.......

Half an hour later, the main force officially set off.

As more than 20,000 people poured out of the power plant in the northern suburbs, Su Mu leaned against the door of the van, looking at the line stretching for several kilometers, and had only one thought in his mind... This did not seem like a military transfer, but more like a mass migration of an entire city.

At the forefront were the tank company and the armored company, with six main battle tanks lined up in two rows, their tracks rumbling over the ruins.

Armored vehicles followed behind the tanks, heavy machine guns mounted on their roofs, muzzles pointing outwards, vigilantly scanning the buildings on either side and the distant skyline. Soldiers were scattered along the flanks and rear of the column, with combat teams every few dozen meters, rifles slung across their chests, marching in unison, their eyes sharp.

Further on, there were the survivors... members of various guilds, casual players, and ordinary people, with their families and carrying large and small bags, like a long, gray-black dragon winding through the streets of this ruined city.

Su Mu and his men were assigned a military van, dark green in color, with several large boxes strapped to the roof containing water purification equipment, food, and ammunition. The van had military green canvas curtains on both sides that could be rolled up for ventilation or lowered to block wind and sand.
