Chapter 266 I Have 3 Teammates
Zhao Derong sat with his two teammates. He had already introduced himself, so there was no need to repeat himself.
His teammates were a man and a woman. The man's name was Liu Yang, and his class was Shield Warrior, white quality, rated D. The woman's name was Fang Lin, and her class was Archer, white quality, rated D.
Both were young and quiet, but sat upright with focused gazes. Zhao Derong patted Liu Yang on the shoulder. "Although their rating isn't high, they cooperate very well. We've killed hundreds of monsters together." Liu Yang and Fang Lin nodded without saying anything more.
Proxiu sat alone. His group had three people, but he had left the other two aside. A man and a woman, who looked like elites from some guild. The man was named Lin Hao, a swordsman, green quality, rated B; the woman was named Song Xue, an ice mage, green quality, rated B.
The two stood awkwardly next to Proscius, unsure whether to sit or stand.
Prosci glanced at them, his tone carrying a condescending, condescending air. "Just follow me and don't hold me back."
Lin Hao and Song Xue exchanged a glance without speaking, but Su Mu could roughly guess what they were thinking... nothing more than "what's so great about it?" But they didn't show it and silently sat down in the chair next to Proxiu.
Su Mu's gaze fell on the green-skinned woman. She had been assigned to a group of three and was currently looking down, her hat brim pulled low, seemingly unaccustomed to being watched.
The person next to her whispered something to her, and after a moment's hesitation, she slowly lifted her hat, revealing a green face.
It wasn't the terrifying green of a monster, but a pale, jade-like color that shimmered slightly under the light. Her features were fairly regular; if you ignored her skin tone, she would be considered a pretty woman.
Her eyes were large with long eyelashes, but they were filled with tension and unease, like a rabbit released from its cage, wary of everything around it.
She spoke softly, with the kind of voice typical of socially anxious people, as if each word required courage. "My name is Angie... Red Bloodline, Rank A. My ability is... once activated, it can evaporate the blood of surrounding monsters."
Someone inside the tent gasped. Vaporizing blood... that's a damage-over-time area-of-effect skill.
In the game, this skill is a monster-slaying godsend; one person just stands there, and the surrounding monsters will lose health on their own, without needing to lift a finger. Angie felt those gazes, and her face flushed even more... A faint blush spread across her green face, making her look somewhat comical, yet also somewhat cute. "It's...it's still growing. Right now, the range is only ten meters...and its effectiveness against high-level monsters is decreasing..." Her voice trailed off, the last few words almost inaudible.
A man next to her patted her on the shoulder, his tone gentle. "She's really capable; she's the core of our team."
He looked at the others and introduced himself, "I'm her teammate, Zhao Yu, a defensive class, green quality, rating C. The other teammate is Sun Hao, a healing class, green quality, rating C. The three of us have been playing together for a long time and have a very high level of teamwork."
Anqi lowered her head, her fingers clutching the hem of her clothes, like a primary school student being called on by the teacher to answer a question. Su Mu looked at her reaction and suddenly thought of someone... When Lin Xiaohe first arrived, she was the same, head down, silent, and not communicating with anyone.
Lin Xiaohe's silence was cold and aloof, while An Qi's silence was tense and helpless. Two completely different personalities, but they had one thing in common...neither of them were good at interacting with people.
Everyone's group introductions were finished, except for Su Mu.
He was the only one in his group, at least that's how it seemed for now. Zhao Derong spoke up, his tone straightforward, like "I'm just curious." "Su Mu, right? Aren't you going to introduce yourself? Captain Bai Liuxi values you highly; even Proxiu, with his SS rating, doesn't receive this treatment from her. We want to know, just how strong are you?"
The others also looked over, their gazes filled with curiosity, scrutiny, and examination. Su Mu remained silent for a moment. He didn't want to reveal his specific strength, but saying nothing wouldn't be appropriate either.
"Gunner, blue class."
There was a moment of silence in the tent.
Blue professions... these are currently the highest quality professions known. Most of the people present are in white and green. Blue profession books have indeed appeared, but that was only in the last few days, and only by one or two people.
However, those people have already chosen other professions and want to switch to blue, unless they find a special treasure to change their profession, and no one has ever heard of such a treasure. This means that Su Mu already obtained a blue profession at level three, and his strength is far greater than it appears on the surface.
Some people silently compared the difference between blue-level professions and S-level ratings, feeling that S-level was still more powerful, but they also had to admit that blue-level professions were already worthy of high regard.
Su Mu didn't say anything more. The others couldn't ask any more questions; everyone had their own trump cards, and if Su Mu didn't want to talk about it, they couldn't force him.
"I have three teammates."
Someone inside the tent looked surprised. Three teammates, plus himself, made four people. Bai Liuxi had said "a maximum of three," and Su Mu had just used that limit.
"First, Lin Yuwei. Her profession is support, but I can't say for sure. Second, Lin Xiaohe. Her profession is Flame Fist Master, green quality."
Some people paused for a moment when they heard the name "Lin Xiaohe," as if they were recalling something.
"Is that the girl who's recklessly leveling up like crazy?" Su Mu glanced at the person who spoke and nodded. The person then asked, "Is she your girlfriend?" Su Mu's lips twitched. "No." The person smiled and didn't press further, but that "I understand" look made Su Mu even more helpless.
Upon hearing the name "Lin Xiaohe," Proshu thought for a moment, feeling as if he had seen her somewhere before. He had seen that girl before... behind the defensive line, alone, with a short knife, she fought her way in and out of the monster horde, her movements clean and efficient, her eyes vacant, but she was indeed quite beautiful and had an outstanding presence.
Prosciutto had glanced at her a few more times then, but now, hearing that she was Su Mu's "girlfriend," a strange feeling welled up inside him. Only he was worthy of a girl like that. But then he looked at Su Mu's face; his physical advantages seemed insignificant compared to hers. He looked away, trying to stop thinking about it.
