Chapter 52 Monster
Qiguer's left eye had fully recovered. He stood there, staring intently at the menacing Old White as if facing a formidable enemy.
The figure opposite him stood like a mountain blocking the doorway.
Old White stood there, the crater beneath his feet the result of his punch. His entire body was covered in white fur, every single hair lying flat against his skin, pointing in the same direction.
Its mouth was open, and the white breath it exhaled was thicker than before, condensing into a ball in the night wind before dissipating. The ball of white breath was still warm when it drifted to Qigur.
Qiguer slowly arched his back, bent his knees, placed his right foot in front of his left foot behind, and placed his hands on his thighs, keeping his center of gravity very low.
He looked at Old White, his gaze not wandering aimlessly, but lingering on Old White's liver, knees, and crotch, without looking at its ridiculously strong arms and body.
Chigur understood that his opponent was a superhuman with special abilities, just like himself. Thinking of the terrifying power that Old White had used to shatter the concrete floor with his punch, he knew he couldn't withstand it. Therefore, he was definitely at a disadvantage in terms of size and strength.
Therefore, he must focus on his opponent's weaknesses and make use of his own agility to have a chance of winning.
Then, Qiguer made the first move. He raised his hand and forcefully threw the blood-soaked piece of clothing in his palm. The blood-red shirt fragment flew out of his hand and landed precisely on Old Bai's face.
A blood-soaked shard of shirt hit Old Bai in the eye, the crimson stain completely obscuring his face, and for a moment Old Bai could see nothing.
Qiguer took a step forward, leaned forward, and his left fist shot out from under his ribs, aiming straight for Old White, whose eyes were covered, his fist piercing the liver in his waist.
It was a swift straight punch, the force concentrated on the knuckles. It was close in distance, fast in speed, and the trajectory of the fist was very short, almost without warning.
This punch will shock the liver, causing temporary difficulty breathing and loss of muscle strength. A normal person would lose the ability to resist after being punched, and would immediately fall to the ground in pain.
When Qiguer's fist made contact with Lao Bai's waist, it exploded with a loud bang, the fist coming to a complete stop right there in his waist, as if he had hit a sack full of iron shot.
His fist struck Old Bai's waist, at most pressing the white hair on his waist in slightly, causing the hair layer to dent slightly, before bouncing his fist back.
Chigur felt as if the layer of fur and skin had spread his force evenly and then absorbed it like a sponge.
Old Bai's body didn't move, not even the slightest step back.
Qiguer didn't retract his fist; a second strike followed immediately.
His left leg rose up with the momentum, his toes hooked back, and his heel pushed off, kicking the junction of the ligament and meniscus on the outside of Lao Bai's knee.
Generally, a heavy kick to the side of the knee will cause the knee to bend from the force of the kick, turning outwards in the direction of the kick, and completely ruining a person's leg.
But Lao Bai's left leg took the brunt of the kick, and the knee that was hit made a dull thud, like an iron rod hitting an iron pipe.
Old Bai swayed slightly, his body sinking a little, but he quickly regained his balance as if nothing had happened.
Qiguer landed, turned his body, and swept his right leg from below towards Lao Bai's popliteal fossa, his heel striking the soft tendon in the back of his leg.
That's the most vulnerable point of the entire leg. If you kick that spot, the whole leg will go limp, and the opponent's knee will bend.
The opportunity was too good to pass up. Old Bai was already reaching out to peel off the blood-stained shirt cloth from his face. If he delayed any longer, he might lose his life on the spot.
After landing a kick, Qiguer pressed his advantage, stepping forward and swinging his right leg like a whip, delivering five consecutive kicks to Lao Bai's back of the knee.
On the fifth kick, Chigur felt the muscles in Old White's leg tense up, and then his kicking foot was forcefully deflected.
Despite five consecutive kicks, Old Bai's leg didn't bend; instead, it suddenly stiffened, sending Qigu'er's right foot flying.
Then, Qiguer did not lose heart and immediately changed his tactics.
Using the force of his right foot being thrown off balance, he spun around, then pushed off with his left foot, launching himself into the air and raising his knee to strike Lao Bai's chin.
A solid knee strike landed squarely on Old Bai's chin, the tip of the knee hitting the white-haired chin with a loud thud.
Old Bai had just removed the cloth from his eyes when he suffered a severe head injury. His two rows of fangs, which were of different sizes, snapped together with a "crack" from the impact of the knee, sparks flying.
Before it could react, Chigurh's elbow strike followed.
Before landing, Qiguer had already changed his posture, stepping on Lao Bai's thick arm as a fulcrum, and then leaping above Lao Bai.
He held his breath, bent his arm to gather strength, and used the speed of his descent and his own weight to bring his elbow down with tremendous force from directly above Lao Baitian's head.
This is a finishing move in Muay Thai called the "step-entangle elbow strike." The elbow strikes down from directly above the skull, and the force is generated by the rotation of the whole body, converging at the elbow tip, which can directly crack the skull.
When that elbow struck, the sound was like a hammer being swung in a wide arc and smashed into an anvil. The tip of the elbow hit Old White's head, pressing a layer of his white hair inward.
"clang--!"
The sound echoed through the destroyed room. The concrete floor beneath Lao Bai's feet was shattered by the immense force of the impact. Lao Bai's feet felt as if they had been driven into the ground by iron stakes, with his soles sinking about two fingers deep into the ground, cracks spreading outwards.
The ground formed a circular depression, and broken bricks and dust were thrown outwards by the shockwave.
Old Bai lowered his head slightly, his chin almost touching his chest.
When Qiguer landed, he took a half step back, his feet tumbling on the ground to steady himself. He first looked at Lao Bai's feet, which were stuck in the ground, and then at Lao Bai's drooping head. If the other person were human, his skull would be cracked.
Even though the opponent is like a superhuman with enhanced physical abilities, at least this time it should be able to cause some damage, right?
Then Lao Bai slowly lifted it back, his neck making a series of cracking sounds.
It raised its head, looked at Qiguer, grinned, exhaled a puff of white air, and stood up again.
The two men stared at each other across a pile of rubble. Old Bai pulled his foot out of the crack, took a step forward, and left two clear footprints on the ground.
Its blood-red eyes stared at Qigur, its pupils remaining unchanged, as if swept away by a few leaves.
When Qiguer landed, his body had already turned to the side, he took half a step back, and created distance again, looking at the white-furred monster in front of him once more.
His fists were numb, his right toes were tingling, and a sharp pain shot through his elbow.
He threw so many blows, each one hitting a vital spot: the liver, knee, popliteal fossa, chin, and top of the head.
The other side didn't even flinch. It just stood there, like a city wall.
Chigur's gaze swept over it again, as if searching for any openings that could be exploited.
At this moment, Lao Bai raised his right hand, crossed the bridge of his nose with the back of his hand, and rubbed it from his forehead to his ear, wiping away most of the blood that was stuck to his eyes.
The dark red eye reappeared, flashed briefly, and the blood droplets on its eyelashes were flicked away, falling to the ground.
Then it twisted its neck, tilting it to the left and right, and a crisp sound came from its neck, like a person moving their stiff cervical spine after a day.
"What a monster..." Qiguer exhaled a sigh of relief, gritting his teeth.
