Taoist priest goes to America

Chapter 51 White-haired Wandering Zombie

Chigur's gaze shifted from Li An's face to his fist, while Li An's gaze returned to Chigur's arm. The same thought flashed through their minds simultaneously—there was probably only one way to deal with this thing.

Their posture changed.

Ang Lee crossed his arms in front of his body, with the front hand protecting his chin and the back hand slightly touching his heart, while his elbows hung down to protect his ribs. The pose resembled an ancient battle flag billowing in the wind, poised to unleash its power.

This is the Tiger Embracing Head in the Flag and Drum Stance, a starting stance in Xingyi Quan that integrates offense and defense.

Chigur lowered his shoulders, took a big step forward with his right foot, and lowered his waist to stabilize his center of gravity. This is the right self-defense technique in Jiu-Jitsu.

Their feet were apart, and they took small steps forward on the balls of their feet. At the same time, they both tentatively stretched out their hands, and the air became tense.

Then... they didn't start fighting, but instead quickly retreated, each reaching for their pistols at their waists.

Only idiots have guns and don't fight with their bare hands. How can a well-trained body compare to time-tested human technology?

The two gunshots rang out almost simultaneously.

Chigur drew his silenced pistol first, his movements a fraction of a second faster than Li An's, the muzzle already aimed at Li An's head.

At the same time, Ang Lee drew his Glock from his waist, held it horizontally in front of his chest, leaned his body to the right, and raised his gun while dodging to the side.

Chigur's first bullet struck Ang Lee's left neck, tearing open his tough skin and splattering blood. He turned his head to avoid a fatal wound.

The second shot came immediately, aimed at the spot where his head had just been.

Ang Lee had already raised his left arm to shield his face; the bullet had hit his forearm and pierced the muscle.

Li An had no shooting training, and his accuracy was not as good as Chigur's, but Doyle's skill [Fighting Violence with Violence] made up for this. The skill was already in effect the moment he drew his gun. Li An's eyes were fixed on Chigur's black hair and shirt, and he had already pulled the trigger.

The first shot flew towards Qigu's head, shaving off half of Qigu's hair on the left side, tearing off a piece of his scalp, and causing dark red blood to spurt out from his forehead.

The second shot blew half of Qiguer's left ear off, and a large piece of his auricle was torn off by the bullet.

The third shot hit Chigur's left eye, causing severe damage. Chigur's brown eye was like a shattered glass bead, with a pool of dark red liquid stuck in his eye socket.

Chigur's body rolled and landed behind a pile of broken bricks, his back against a section of wall that had collapsed halfway, his gun still pointed in Li An's direction.

As Ang Lee fired his third shot, he also lunged to the side, landing behind a fallen bed frame. The bed frame had been blown to smithereens, leaving only a frame with a hole in the middle. The two men looked at each other through the two holes and then continued to fire at each other.

"Click." Li An and Qi Gu'er's guns clicked simultaneously. The pistols were out of bullets, the slides were stuck, and the bolts were locked.

The two of them simultaneously holstered their guns, retreated back into their bodies, and began to rest and heal their injuries.

Ang Lee's left hand was still bleeding. He looked down and saw that the bullet had lodged inside his left forearm, where it was held in place by his unique muscles. It hadn't damaged the bone, but blood was flowing down and soaking his cuff.

The wound on the left side of the neck was in worse condition than the one on the arm. The bullet hole was very close to the artery in the neck, and blood was gushing out like crazy. Fortunately, the bullet passed through and did not remain inside the neck.

Ang Lee released the Glock pistol from his right hand, switched it to his left, and then formed a sword-finger spirit official incantation, drawing a closed circle around the wound and casting a spell at the center to stop the bleeding.

Then Ang Lee reached his right hand to his waist, pinched the top of the old white puppet with two fingers, and pulled hard. The puppet fell off and landed in his palm.

With a flick of his right wrist, he flung the puppet to the ground. Before it could even come to a complete stop, fine cracks began to appear on its surface.

……

Qiguer crouched behind the broken brick wall, pressing the back of his hand against his left eye. Blood seeped from between his fingers, dripping down the back of his hand.

Blood was still gushing from his left ear, and the piece of his auricle that had been torn off by the bullet was swelling and bleeding. He pressed his finger against the wound, and a subtle change appeared on his skin.

New tissue and flesh began to emerge from the edges of the wound. These granulation tissues twisted and intertwined, closing together along the torn portion.

The outline of Chigur's ear was recovering at a visible speed, and the cartilage was regrowing, wrapped with granulation tissue, and covered with new skin.

Inside the socket of his left eye, the shattered eyeball was covered by a layer of dark red new flesh, which was rapidly shrinking and swelling, quickly regenerating from a blurry mass of flesh into a new eyeball.

Qiguer loosened his hand from his eyes. A thin membrane had formed on the corner of his eye where he had been grazed by a bullet. The membrane was thinning, revealing pale pink new tissue underneath.

"Clang." A crisp metallic sound rang out as the bullet that had been lodged in Chigur's eye socket was "spit out" by his new eye, and his vision in his left eye was becoming clear again.

Qiguer wiped the blood from his eyes with his sleeve. Just as he was about to stand up, he felt a chilling sensation on his back, as if some ferocious beast had stretched out its claws from the darkness, parting the air to stab him from behind.

He first felt the weight of the airflow on the back of his neck. Without turning around, Qiguer flipped his body to the side.

A white fist slammed down from where he had been crouching, hitting the floor.

The fist sank into the ground, creating a crater in the concrete. Fragments flew everywhere, with broken bricks and chunks of cement flying outwards, hitting the walls, the bathtub in the bathroom, and the window frame.

Spiderweb-like cracks tore outwards from the center of the fist, causing the walls to shake violently and the entire third floor to tremble.

Chigur stood up from his roll and looked up at the owner of the fist.

It stood in the pile of broken cement blocks, more than a head taller than him, its shoulders much wider than the door frame, like the skeleton of some large primate, its upper arms disproportionately thick, and its forearms even thicker than its upper arms.

Its hands were twice the size of an average person's, with thick knuckles and protruding nails that looked like black iron hooks growing from its fingers.

Its entire body was covered in fine white hairs, which were densely packed on the skin like dried reeds, as if it were wearing a ferocious white armor.

Its mouth was enormous, with the corners of its mouth stretched back almost to the base of its ears, revealing two rows of fangs of varying lengths and sizes. Each breath it exhaled condensed into a cloud of white mist.

Old White turned its head, its blood-red eyes wide open, glowing crimson in the dim room.

Ang Lee leaned against the back of the bed, blood still dripping from his left hand, but there was no sign of it continuing to flow. The wound had begun to scab over, leaving only a shallow scratch.

He stared at Old Bai, then glanced at Qiguer.

Chigur stood at the other end of the ruins, one hand gripping the wall, the other hanging at his side. The dark red membrane in his left eye socket was fading, and his eyeball had fully regrown.
