This time, Professor Reyes did not reply, but simply waved his hand, indicating that Connor could proceed.

Connor put the small box in his pocket, bowed slightly to Reyes, and then turned and left.

Seeing Connor leave his office, Reyes, who was processing official documents, suddenly stopped what he was doing. A faint smile appeared on his refined face as he muttered to himself, "That little Connor, I didn't expect him to be such a genius in alchemy. It seems that after dealing with this matter, the plan can begin to be implemented..."

Sitting in the taxi, Connor squinted at the scenery outside the window, his hand in his pocket, stroking the small box that Reyes had given him.

Honestly, looking at those muscular men in casual clothes, with bulging lower backs, cautiously observing their surroundings, hidden in the crowd outside the window, Connor felt an urge to open the little box Reyes had given him.

He was genuinely curious about what kind of thing would make Reyes send his so-called disciple, risking being discovered by the military police and the church, to deliver an obviously dangerous item.

When Reyes made the request, Connor knew he had no right to refuse, even though he knew it would put him in a very dangerous situation!

"One day, I will take control of my own destiny!" Connor clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug deep into his flesh, his face contorting in a grimace.

Connor didn't ask Reyes what was in the little box, because he knew that if Reyes wanted him to know, he would tell him without him asking, but if Reyes didn't want to tell him, then asking would be pointless!

If this box belonged to someone else, he probably would have already opened it to see what kind of rubbish was inside. But since this little box was given to him by Reyes, Connor became somewhat wary. After studying "Reyes Alchemy," Connor knew all too well the terrifying expertise his mentor, Professor Reyes, possessed in alchemy!

Putting aside whether he could even open the box, even if he did, and saw what was inside, Reyes might discover his little scheme in the next second!

"Sigh..." Connor sighed and stopped rubbing the small box in his pocket. There was no good solution for now; he could only take it one step at a time and see which Mr. Bispin was going to meet!

Thanks to his noble status and some "money power," Connor managed to leave the city of Rune relatively smoothly.

"Sir, Sassuolo Wharf is just ahead!" As Connor could already smell the slightly salty sea breeze, his taxi stopped. The somewhat gray-haired coachman respectfully addressed Connor:

Connor pulled a five-shilling note from his wallet and handed it to the coachman. "Thank you for bringing me here, old man. Please wait here for me; I'm afraid I won't be able to get a carriage back to town. This is the fare here; the return fare is separate!"

Seeing the five shillings Connor handed him, the gray-haired coachman swallowed hard and said somewhat apprehensively, "Sir, that's not enough. Two shillings and five pence will suffice!"

With a light laugh, Connor slipped the banknotes into the coachman's hand and said casually, "Old man, just take it as I said!"

"Thank you, sir! Thank you, sir! I will definitely wait here for your return!" The coachman carefully folded the banknotes and placed them in his pocket, patting his chest as he assured Connor.

Nodding, Connor straightened his coat, then stepped down from the carriage and walked toward the huge dock in front of him.

Sassuolo Wharf is one of the top three super wharves in the port city of Loen, with hundreds of cargo ships coming and going on the Stormy Ocean docking there every day. To further facilitate cargo transportation through Sassuolo Wharf, the Loen Council has just passed the "Wharf Railway Plan" by an absolute majority. The plan is to spend 500,000 gold pounds over the next three to five years to build and expand the railway connecting the city center and the port of Sassuolo to seven large Loen wharves.

Although the city of Loen is still under major inspection, all this turmoil seems to have had no effect on the port of Sassuolo. Countless workers are still busy at work in the port, and cargo ships belching black smoke are entering the harbor one after another.

Connor easily blended into the docks and began searching for Warehouse No. 7, which Reyes had mentioned.

"Excuse me, where is Warehouse No. 7?" Because the dock was so huge and it was Connor's first time here, he searched for a long time but couldn't find Warehouse No. 7. Helpless, he could only ask the young female worker in front of him, who seemed to have just finished get off work, for directions.

"Go straight ahead for about 500 meters, then turn left!" The young female worker, who was probably only sixteen or seventeen years old, said timidly. After pointing in a direction for Connor, she ran away with a blush on her face.

This made Connor, who was about to take out his wallet to give a tip, shake his head in surprise.

Following the direction pointed out by the young female worker, Connor walked over. As he continued walking, there were fewer and fewer dockworkers on the road. When he saw the word "seven" above the warehouse, he was the only one nearby. Just as Connor looked around, preparing to look for someone, he clearly felt a spiritual force probing him.

However, just as Connor frowned slightly, wondering if he should do something, his expression suddenly changed drastically. He discovered that an extremely terrifying mental force, as terrifying as a prehistoric monster, had locked onto him!

Taking a deep breath and considering for a moment, Connor boldly raised his hands and said in a deep voice, "I have no hostile intentions; I'm just someone delivering something!"

Three seconds after Connor finished speaking, a deep baritone voice sounded in his ear: "Who sent you here?"

"My mentor!" Connor hesitated for a moment, then deliberately spoke vaguely;

"Professor Reyes?" the baritone voice asked in return.

Upon hearing that the other person had mentioned Professor Reyes's name, Connor felt a sense of relief, but still tentatively asked, "And you are?"

"I am Bispin!" a deep baritone voice said. As soon as he finished speaking, Connor found himself in front of a tall, imposing middle-aged white man with blue eyes, but who seemed to have an injury to his left eye.

The middle-aged man, who called himself "Bispin," sized up Connor and then said in a low voice, "Come with me!" Without hesitation, the burly man turned and walked toward a nearby warehouse.
