After hesitating for a moment, Connor followed the burly man toward the warehouse.

After walking around the warehouse a few times, Bispin led Connor into a very hidden secret passage.

Upon entering the secret passage, Connor smelled an extremely strong medicinal odor, and upon closer inspection, he could also detect a faint smell of blood within it! Besides the smell, Connor also discovered something that shocked him greatly: he couldn't release his mental energy in this basement; the entire basement seemed to be suppressing mental energy!

"Ahem... The walls here are mixed with powder from the Loss of Spirit Stone. Apprentice-level wizards can't use their mental powers in this room!" Mr. Bispin, walking ahead of Connor, explained, seemingly noticing his concern.

Upon hearing the term "Disorientation Stone," a strange light flashed in Connor's eyes, but he quickly concealed it, nodded slightly, and continued walking forward with Bispin.

"What kind of place is this? Where does this secret passage lead?" Connor's mind raced.

After studying "Reyes Alchemy," Connor knew very well how rare the Mind Stone, a mineral that suppresses mental power, was. If, as Bispin said, the walls of this secret passage were indeed mixed with Mind Stone powder, then the construction cost of this secret passage would conservatively be more than 20,000 gold pounds!

This raises the question: why is there such an expensive secret passage here, and what is it hiding?

Before Connor could think for long, the answer appeared before him. After walking through the secret passage for about three minutes, a bronze door came into view.

"Tap tap tap!"

Bispin knocked lightly and rhythmically on the door, which then opened silently.

Bispin beckoned to Connor and whispered, "Fast forward!"

Although he didn't know what lay behind that bronze door, Connor had no choice but to bite the bullet and step through it.

Upon entering the door, Connor found himself in a room of about fifty square meters. The room was small and had no other partitions, so everything in the room was visible to him.

At this moment, in the room, two strong, red-haired young men were sitting cross-legged on the ground, meditating. Several bottles of potions were placed in front of them. The smell of potions that Connor had smelled at the entrance of the secret passage seemed to be coming from these bottles. In addition to the smell of the potions, the faint smell of blood on the two red-haired young men also wafted into Connor's nostrils.

Seemingly unaware of Connor and Bispin's entry, the two red-haired youths remained engrossed in their own world, showing no intention of ending their meditation.

"Where is the thing the professor asked me to give you?" Upon entering this room, the gloomy expression on Bispin's burly face visibly disappeared considerably.

Connor remained silent, handing the small box Professor Reyes had given him to Bispin. Given the uncertain situation, Connor felt that it was better to listen more and say less than to say more.

After taking the small box from Connor, Bispin did not open it directly, but instead held it firmly in his palm.

The next second, this somewhat antique-looking little box emitted an extremely strange light in Bisping's hand, as eerie as crimson blood.

Looking at the eerie red light, Connor began to feel glad that he hadn't decided to open the small box. The strange, blood-red light clearly proved that the small box was far more complicated than it seemed.

"Are you really Professor Reyes's disciple?" After the red light on the small box disappeared, Bispin didn't rush to open it. Instead, his eyes lit up as he began to ask Connor.

"That's right!" Connor nodded, admitting it with absolute certainty.

"I never expected that the professor would take on disciples. If it weren't for the information he gave me confirming this, I still wouldn't have believed it!" A smile appeared on Bispin's angular face.

"This is our secret society's safe house. It's usually used to store things, and it serves as a gathering point when needed!" Seemingly noticing Connor's curiosity about the house, Bispin explained to Connor.

"Our secret society?" Connor's expression remained unchanged upon hearing this word, but his mind was in turmoil.

What is the Secret Society? It sounds like the name of an organization. As for our Secret Society? Could it be that Professor Reyes and this Bispin in front of us are both members of this organization called the Secret Society?

"You've taken what your mentor gave you. Next, your mentor wants me to take back what you gave him!" Connor said slowly, trying to keep his tone calm. After smelling the potion in the secret passage, Connor ordered the chip to analyze what kind of potion it was based on the smell, using his current knowledge. The chip had just finished its analysis and given Connor an answer.

Based on this answer, Connor made a bold yet logical conjecture. Based on this conjecture, Connor no longer wanted to know anything about this secret society and just wanted to escape from here as soon as possible.

"Heh heh, no wonder the professor took you, a junior apprentice, as his disciple. You realized so quickly what we did..." Bispin glanced at Connor and said with a half-smile:

"What are you talking about? I have no interest in what you did. I was just completing the task my mentor assigned me!" Seeing that Bispin made no attempt to hide anything, Connor's heart trembled. However, to prevent Bispin from bluffing him, Connor still pretended to be puzzled and impatient.

"Clap clap clap clap!"

Bispin clapped lightly, looking at Connor with a hint of appreciation in his eyes.

"Honestly, Connor, if I were as young as you, I might have been fooled by your acting, but now..." Bispin shook his head before continuing with a smile, "You guessed right, both of my men were shot with anti-magic bullets. We were the ones who took down Storm Church's secret warehouse number seven. Those bastards from Storm Church are now searching the whole city for the three of us. Oh, and Constantine, that senior apprentice, I killed him off on a whim too. So, young man, is there anything else you want to know?"

Seeing that Bispin had confessed everything, Connor knew there was no point in continuing the charade. He gave a wry smile and said, "What do you need me to do now?"

"You just need to do the task the professor assigned you!" Bispin's smile faded, and he said solemnly:
