Wizard Earl

Chapter 1114 Clues

Margaret's words immediately left Connor somewhat bewildered. He glanced at the three wizard apprentices who had already found seats in the dining hall and sat down, then carefully sensed the energy fluctuations they were concealing. Two seconds later, Connor suddenly seemed to realize something, a glint of light flashing in his eyes, and he whispered to Margaret, "People from the Church of Storms?"

Margaret nodded slightly upon hearing this, then said in a low voice, "There are too many people here, let's go outside and talk."

After Margaret finished speaking, she and Connor quietly left Uncle Giroud's Beer House and went to a small café across the street. They found a private room with a good view and sat down.

After everyone was seated in the private room and a pot of coffee was served, Margaret set up a soundproof barrier. Without Connor even asking, she spoke up, saying, "Those three people were Storm Church spies in the Arius community. The one leading them, the short-haired wizard, is named Abrach. He has Odin's blood. The potions were hidden in the Arius community, so they should know something about it."

After Margaret finished speaking, Connor didn't say anything, but looked at Margaret with a questioning gaze. Under Connor's gaze, Margaret hesitated for a moment, but still nodded slightly.

With Margaret's confirmation, Connor smiled. Now that they had a lead, things would be much easier.

Although there were three people on the other side, they were all wizard apprentices. With Connor's current strength, taking them down would be a piece of cake. However, they were members of the Storm Church, and Margaret had a deep affection for the Storm Church. So, Connor still had to consider Margaret's opinion on how to deal with them. Now that he had Margaret's approval, Connor could act without any worries!

After pondering for a moment, Margaret said to Connor, "Connor, I need a few of these potions, but you can have the rest!"

"You can handle the assignment of Margaret; I'm just helping you out!" Connor said with a shrug.

Just as Connor and Margaret were talking, the senior wizard apprentice whom Margaret called Abrach, along with his two intermediate wizard apprentices, came out of Uncle Giru's beer house after finishing their meal. Connor and Margaret exchanged a glance, and Connor threw two one-penny bills on the coffee table. Then, he and Margaret walked out of the coffee shop and quietly followed behind Abrach and his group.

After finishing their meal, Abrach and his two companions wandered through the Arius community for over ten minutes, their destination unclear. Connor, following behind, was puzzled and turned to Margaret beside him, asking, "Margaret, do you know where they're going, or if the Church of Storms has any secret hideouts in the Arius community?"

Upon hearing Connor's question, Margaret rolled her eyes at him and said irritably, "If I had known this, I would have taken you there already. Why were we just standing there like that..."

"Forehead·····"

Margaret's answer surprised Connor slightly, but upon reflection, it made sense. He then turned his attention back to Abrach and his two companions ahead. Although their movements were strange and puzzling, they were clearly unaware that two formal wizards were following them and planning to attack them.

After observing his surroundings and finding no one around, Connor's eyes flashed with a cold light. He had been following these three guys for more than ten minutes without finding anything, and Connor's patience had finally run out. It was time to take action.

"Connor, wait a minute!"

Just as Connor was about to launch a mental attack on Abrach and the other two in front of him, Margaret, who was standing next to him, suddenly spoke up to remind him.

Although he didn't know why Margaret asked him to wait, out of trust in Margaret, Connor stopped his mental attack and looked at Abrach and the other two not far ahead with some confusion.

Under the watchful eyes of Connor and Margaret, Abrach finally stopped turning. Not sensing any tails behind him, he walked into an abandoned factory in an unknown part of the Arius community, while his two men stayed outside the factory to keep watch for him.

Seeing this, Connor and Margaret exchanged a glance and then Connor left Margaret, who was still injured and not fit to fight, outside. He then flashed his black robe and entered the factory.

As soon as Connor entered the factory, his eyes narrowed slightly as he looked towards a corner. In this otherwise empty factory, besides Abraham, there was another person, which surprised Connor somewhat.

"Abrach, you bastard, what took you so long?"

A middle-aged, square-faced man dressed in the traditional robes of the Church of Storms was reprimanding Abrachi with great dissatisfaction:

Upon hearing the reprimand from the middle-aged, square-faced man, Abramovich's expression immediately flashed with displeasure, but the next second he still managed a smile and explained, "Mr. Pedro, there are too many people and too many eyes outside right now. My brothers and I have to be careful, lest we attract the attention of the secret society. That's why we took a roundabout route, which is why we're a little late. Please forgive us, Mr. Pedro..."

After saying that, Abramovich, all smiles, took out a lunchbox from his spatial ring and handed it over, saying, "Mr. Pedro, here's your Parma bread and Caesardo steak. I've also added a bottle of fine wine from the Flamino Estate. You'll be absolutely satisfied."

As the saying goes, one cannot hit a smiling face. Although Abramovich made him go hungry for more than ten minutes, his attitude was so good and he even brought him a bottle of good wine. Mr. Pedro hummed a couple of times and his anger subsided. He stopped scolding Abramovich and opened his lunchbox to start enjoying the bread and steak that Abramovich had brought him.

Seeing Pedro enjoying his meal with sips of wine and meat, Abramovich's expression shifted, and he tentatively asked him, "Mr. Pedro, you are a big shot from the Church of St. Antis. I wonder what kind of things are hidden here that require someone like you to guard them?"
