Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong
Chapter 37 Tilulu
The next morning, Wayne pushed open the church door.
The morning fog was thick.
It was so thick that you could barely see anything more than three steps away. Mornings in Frosttown were usually foggy, but today the fog was exceptionally heavy, the grayish-white mist churning and swirling as if it were alive.
Wayne stood in the doorway and glanced ahead.
You can't see anything in the fog.
The church behind us also became blurred in the fog.
He took a few steps forward.
His footsteps made a soft sound on the stone path. The surroundings were eerily quiet; not even the distant crowing of roosters or barking of dogs could be heard. Only the mist moved silently, enveloping him like a tide.
Wayne stopped in his tracks.
I can't see anything around me anymore.
The road we came by disappeared into the fog, and so did the church. All around, there was only an endless expanse of gray-white, making it impossible to distinguish east from west.
The panel popped up.
【Name: Mist Realm】
[Spellcaster: Tilulu]
[Identity: Core Member of the Witch Cult]
[Strength: Peak Second Tier (Mist Type)]
[Ability: Creates a completely isolated mist field. Within this field, she can conceal herself and kill without a trace.]
[Limitation: She must remain completely naked while casting the spell. Clothing cannot become invisible along with the body; this is the only weakness of her ability.]
[P.S. She's right behind you, about three steps away. Watching you. Observing you. She's been watching you for three minutes now.]
[Note 2: She originally just wanted to test you, but when you opened the door just now, she paused for a moment. Then she started thinking about other things.]
After reading the panel, Wayne remained silent for two seconds.
Three steps behind.
Complete fruit syrup.
I watched him for three minutes.
He began to understand what "started thinking about other things" meant.
The fog was so thick you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, but within that fog, someone was watching him. Someone who wasn't wearing any clothes.
"Miss Witch," he said.
The fog remained still.
Wayne continued, "You've been staring at me for three minutes now, don't you have anything to say?"
Wayne's statement came as a complete surprise.
A short, startled cry came from within the thick fog.
Then, it seemed like it started raining.
No! That's dew.
A few drops of liquid fell from mid-air and landed on the stone pavement not far from Wayne, making a soft dripping sound.
Wayne kept a watchful eye on his surroundings.
You scared me.
The voice came from the mist, very close, just two or three steps behind him. It was a woman's voice, tinged with reproach, and something else entirely.
Wayne didn't turn around.
"You've been staring at me for three minutes, and I can't even say anything?"
Wayne could feel footsteps all around him, the footsteps circling him, from front to back, from left to right, very close.
How did you know I was watching you?
Wayne thought about it and didn't tell the truth.
"The Guidance of the Goddess"
"goddess?"
A soft laugh came from within the mist.
"You're not afraid?"
"What are you afraid of?"
"I'm afraid I'm here to kill you."
Wayne thought for a moment.
"If you wanted to kill me, you would have done it just now."
Wayne then changed the subject.
"However... you can't kill me either."
Wayne asked, "Was that purple-eyed child you sent yesterday?"
There was no response from within the fog.
There was only the sound of flowing water, like water, like wind. Wayne stood there, able to feel the gaze still on him, but the other person remained silent.
A few breaths later, a panting sound came from the fog.
It's very light.
Wayne's brow twitched slightly.
Another sound.
It's a bit heavier than before.
Wayne stood there, listening to the sounds coming from the fog. The sounds were intermittent.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
His breathing stopped.
There was a moment of silence in the fog, then the voice rang out again, this time closer than before.
"Who...who exactly are you?"
Wayne thought for a moment.
"The new bishop of Frosttown."
"A bishop?" The voice was slightly breathless, yet tinged with amusement. "Which bishop can make a person's body..."
Wayne suddenly remembered the reason.
The moment he spotted Tilulu, he instinctively activated his water magic. Not for attack, not for defense, but simply to release his water element into the surrounding air.
This is his habit.
He does this every time someone approaches. Not for any other reason than to allow himself to perceive his surroundings. The water element is his eyes, his ears, and his skin.
He forgot that this fog belonged to Tilulu's territory.
He forgot that this fog would be permeated by his water element.
He also forgot that his magic sometimes went wrong.
Tilulu's breathing at this moment is proof of that.
"you……"
"What did you do to me?"
The rain started to get heavier, and Wayne noticed it. He didn't really care, but he still felt a little embarrassed.
"Nothing was done."
"Then how could I...?"
Wayne fell silent.
Could this actually be a world of erotica?
Just as he was thinking this, the surrounding fog suddenly moved.
It is not flowing.
It is cohesion.
Countless tiny water droplets surged from all directions, gathered in front of him, and condensed into thin, cicada-wing-like water blades that shot towards him!
"Hey! This is unhygienic!" Wayne exclaimed anxiously.
Tilulu got even angrier.
More water blades condensed from the mist and shot towards Wayne, who stood still.
The water blade pierced his body, passed through him, and disappeared into the mist on the other side. There was no blood, no wound, only a few small holes left in the pierced robe.
Water elemental body.
This is an ability he has figured out on his own over the past few years; it is his only magical defense ability.
"Who...who exactly are you?"
Luludi's voice was intermittent.
Wayne sighed.
"I told you, I didn't do anything."
"Then why...?"
Another drawn-out nasal sound came from the mist.
The mist over Tilulu is thinning.
Then came the sound of water droplets falling from the sky, more frequent than before, and the air began to feel humid.
She didn't take it willingly; she couldn't control herself. The surrounding gray-white began to fade, the outline of the church in the distance became faintly visible, and even the stone path under her feet became clear.
Wayne finally saw the scene before him clearly.
In the center where the fog had dissipated, stood a person.
woman.
She looked to be in her mid-twenties, with long, flowing silver hair, skin that was almost translucent white, and an unnatural flush on her face.
No clothes.
There was nothing there.
She stood there, her legs trembling slightly, one hand braced against the wall beside her, the other hand covering her body.
Wayne moved quickly.
Just before the fog completely dissipated, he had already taken off his monk's robe and taken a step forward. The robe fell down, just covering his still trembling body.
Silver hair peeked out from her collar, her entire face shrouded in shadow, with only her chin and lips visible.
Tilulu was stunned for a moment.
She looked up at him.
Wayne met those eyes.
His silver eyes were filled with moisture.
The streets were quiet.
The morning mist had just dissipated, and the sky was not yet fully bright. A few faint barks of dogs could be heard in the distance, but there was no one on the street.
Tilulu opened her mouth.
Then raise your hand.
Snapped.
a slap.
Fortunately, Wayne reached out and blocked it.
"you……"
Suddenly, a black crack split open in the shadow beneath Tilulu's feet, and a hand reached out from within, grabbing her ankle. Tilulu froze for a moment, then was pulled into the shadows by the hand.
The moment the shadow disappeared, he saw another pair of eyes.
Purple.
It's that child, Emily!
