Conquering the Multiverse Starting with the Black Robe

Chapter 2 Break Through the Encirclement!

"Fuck, fire! Fire now!"

The two remaining men in the room finally came to their senses, pulled the triggers, and their rifles spat out angry tongues of fire.

With a casual flick of his wrist, Rean hurled the utterly aged, shriveled, and lifeless dried corpse in his hand at Rean like a projectile.

With his powerful sensory abilities, Rean could accurately control everything without any professional skills. A precise bowling ball flew out of his hand like a cannonball, directly smashing the two who fired the gun into the wall, leaving behind a large pool of rotten flesh!

"Oh, that must have hurt a lot, I'm sorry."

Rean clicked his tongue, avoided the bloody remains under his feet, and walked out of the isolation room.

The entire experimental base had already sounded the alarm, and it was clear that someone had seen the bloody scene clearly on the surveillance cameras.

To Rean's ears, a rapid stream of footsteps was approaching.

"Great, I love this farewell party!"

He grabbed the electric shock collar around his neck with one hand and exerted force with all five fingers.

A crisp snap!

The sturdy alloy steel ring was as fragile as a plastic toy in Rean's hands. As the force increased, sparks flew from the collar, and it shattered completely.

"Target acquired, fire!"

Without further ado, the orders received by the armed personnel were to kill all survivors.

Da da da da!

A dense network of firepower formed in the corridor, leaving no escape unless one retreated to the isolation room.

Rean, however, neither dodged nor avoided the barrage of specially made bullets that could penetrate body armor, and continued to advance step by step under the barrage.

When these usually invincible bullets struck him, they bounced off like large pebbles hitting a hard rock, landing on the ground with a clattering sound.

"Are you tickling me?"

Just as Rean was about to finish off these ants, a sharp sound wave, sharp enough to pierce one's eardrum, suddenly exploded in his ear.

hum! ——

This special frequency sound wave is almost harmless to ordinary people, at most causing vomiting. It was first developed by Gododkin and has undergone several improvements. It is a high-frequency sound wave weapon specifically designed to target the nervous system of superhumans.

Rean's expression changed drastically, as if a steel needle had been pierced into his temple and was being stirred inside.

His superhuman senses had a negative effect at this moment. His highly developed hearing amplified the pain countless times, driving him almost insane!

"Ughhhhhh!!"

Rean looked pained, covered his ears, and knelt on the ground, with thick veins bulging on his forehead, making him look extremely ferocious.

"Die, you damned monster!" The armed personnel controlling the sonic weapon were overjoyed and were about to increase the power of the sound waves.

"You fucking..." Rean gritted his teeth, his eyes bloodshot. In his rage, his adrenaline surged, miraculously relieving much of the pain.

He stomped off the ground, leaving a deep footprint on the earth. He transformed into a blurry afterimage, and with the aid of his flight ability, he resembled a humanoid cannonball launched from the barrel!

boom!

A deafening roar, breaking the sound barrier, erupted in the confined space, even drowning out the noise generated by the sound waves!

For a fleeting moment, the scene seemed to freeze.

Fire spurting from gun muzzles, bullets flying everywhere, sirens flashing bright red lights...

And the man operating the sonic device, his finger about to press down, but never able to lower it even a fraction further.

boom!

There is no time to react, nor is it possible to react. Faced with extreme speed, the electrical signals in an ordinary person's body do not even have a chance to respond.

The person manipulating the sound waves, along with several armed personnel in the same straight line as him, were instantly struck around the waist by Rean, who swept through the air, and exploded into a shower of limb fragments!

"Huff... huff..."

Rean was covered in human tissue and was breathing heavily.

After catching his breath, he straightened up and said, "Hey guys, I have to admit, you almost beat me."

Most of the armed personnel in the area were quickly cleared out, and the few remaining men stared wide-eyed, as if they had lost their souls in fright.

They had never seen God, but at this moment, they were convinced that the terrifying presence before them was a demon from hell!

One of them even dropped his gun, knelt down with a thud, and began desperately begging for mercy: "Don't kill me! I... I have a wife and two children. Please, we have no grudge against each other, I... I was just doing my job."

"Seriously? Look at everything around you, and now you're telling me you're just doing your job?"

Rean came to the man's side, half-squatted down, and pulled up his head.

Look me in the eyes!

The man was being held by the head by Rean, and he was crying and sobbing, with snot, tears, and saliva all flowing down his face.

"You morally blackmailing idiot! You don't think you're wrong at all. You don't think there's anything wrong with shooting a minor, even if all he did was try to protect himself and leave that damn isolation room!"

Mentioning your family in front of me isn't because you love them so much; you're just afraid and trying to gain my sympathy so I'll let you off the hook.

Because you know you're about to fucking die!

Rean's voice grew louder and louder, until it almost turned into a roar.

With a snap, he smashed a watermelon with his bare hands!

"As I said, none of you are innocent, therefore you will all die!"

Rean stood up from the pile of minced meat, clenched his fists, and with a look of no pity in his eyes, declared their fate.

The group exchanged bewildered glances, and someone swallowed hard.

After a scream of pain and a gunshot.

Only two figures remained standing in the corridor.

"It's just you and me left, let's end this!" Rean, covered in blood, smiled at the tense man.

"Wait! We can talk. I can get Mr. Edgar!"

"Boring last words." Rean continued moving, took a step forward, and threw a punch.

With a soft thud, it pierced through the chest of the person in front of him without any suspense.

His pleas for mercy abruptly stopped, and he vomited a large amount of thick, fresh blood.

Despair filled the man's eyes. With his last ounce of strength, he drew a tactical dagger from his waist and repeatedly stabbed at Rean's left eye, attempting to blind him.

Clang! Clang!

The collision between the knife tip and the eyeball produced a metallic clang.

The blade, strong enough to pierce an iron plate, landed on his pupils, yet it didn't even leave a scratch.

Rean stared at him coldly until the light in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by fear and despair. The life force that had been lost was transformed back into nourishing sustenance by Rean's plunder.

After discarding the corpse, Rean spat out a mouthful of bloody foam, as some human tissue had just entered his nasal cavity.

To be honest, although the situation just now was somewhat dangerous, it was still within his expectations.

In the original storyline of the show, Homelander also faced interference caused by the main characters' sonic attacks, but the effect was minimal and had almost no impact.

Although distance played a large part in the reason, through comparison, Rean was able to roughly deduce that there was still a considerable gap between him and Homelander.

But there was no other way; time wasn't on their side. If they didn't act soon, they'd end up looking like a fool. They had no choice but to reveal their true strength prematurely.

After confirming that there were no other living creatures around, Rean bent down and picked up the short knife from the ground.

Looking at his wrist stained with blood, Rean remained expressionless, raised his knife and plunged it in, forcefully cutting a gash.

Rean used the tip of his knife to probe the wound and pry out a capsule-sized chip from the muscle. This was a sensor chip implanted in his body, used to track and monitor the implantee's condition.

Rean pinched the capsule chip, squeezed it slightly, flattened it, and casually tossed it on the ground.

The wound healed rapidly with the replenishment of life force.

There's one more thing to do before I leave.

……

Within the chaotic experimental base, a blood-red figure moved through at an extremely fast speed.

Rean ignored the fleeing experimenters, provided, of course, that they didn't provoke him.

Before long, Rean arrived at the location of the central control room.

The sealed gate was useless; he simply tore it open with his bare hands.

Inside the control room, a wall of surveillance cameras immediately comes into view.

Rean moved the mouse to switch the monitoring screen.

He frowned upon seeing this.

The footage shows that in more than a dozen isolation rooms in different areas, experimental subjects in different forms are all lying on beds or on the floor, fast asleep.

The reason they are described as having different forms is that only a few of them retain human form, while the majority have undergone horrific physical mutations, with scales, claws, and even long, thin tails... No wonder Edgar wanted to exterminate all these aliens.

Clearly, this wasn't the first time Walter's researchers had faced this situation. As they left, the staff released anesthetics from all the rooms via the central control system to prevent the situation from worsening.

"I was actually planning to cause even more trouble..."

Rean glanced at it for a few seconds, then dismissed the idea and turned to leave.

"You only have yourself to blame for not being good enough."

……

Several kilometers away from the base, in a desolate forest.

Beside an abandoned drainage outlet, a heavy iron gate weighing several tons suddenly shook violently.

boom!

With a deafening roar, the entire gate flew a great distance, its momentum continuing as it crashed into and snapped several large trees.

A blood-red figure slowly emerged from the pipe; it was none other than Rean, who had fought his way out and successfully escaped.

"It's been a long time since I've seen this enchanting night," Rean murmured, looking up at the night sky.

The moonlight was slightly cool.

The fragrance of the soil, the chirping of insects and birds, even the rustling of leaves in the breeze.

All of this appeared exceptionally vivid to him through his superhuman senses.

In a daze, I felt a joy like the clouds had parted and the sun was shining again.

"This is what it means to be alive!" Rean raised his arms high, greedily breathing in the air, enjoying the long-lost feeling of freedom.

"Heh, the air in America certainly smells of freedom."

"Next step: launch a revenge attack on the Vought Group. But before implementing the plan, I need to check how far the plot has progressed," Rean thought to himself.

The next moment, he slightly arched his body, like an arrow ready to be released. With a sudden burst of strength, he sprang into the air. The ground beneath his feet collapsed into a large crater due to the enormous reaction force, and he himself shot into the sky like a meteor!

A white, cone-shaped sonic boom spread above the trees, and the figure tore through the silent night sky, disappearing into the clouds in an instant.
