Chapter 150 Adventures in the Dream World
"Everyone, I think we need to calm down and sit down to talk about our respective needs, don't we? This constant bickering will only lead to endless arguments, which doesn't help solve the actual problem at all, does it?"
With a smile on his face, Ron walked between the two men like a composed gentleman, and then described the current situation in a joking tone.
Triss and Alice looked at Ron in front of them.
The tense situation was immediately eased by the boy's mediation. The dragon retracted its sharp fangs, claws, and huge wings that covered the entire castle. Ace's clenched fist also relaxed at this moment, and the milky white light on it disappeared, leaving only a pair of cute little hands.
"You're right, Mr. Matthews, I agree with you. However, this fat woman in front of me might not be very bright and doesn't understand what you're saying."
Beneath the girl's adorable exterior lay a sharp soul; her youthful face now uttered chilling words.
When Miss Triss the dragon heard the girl's words, her fangs and claws, which had already been burning, began to gleam faintly again.
Sulfur-like gas continuously spewed from its enormous nostrils, sometimes even mixed with sparks:
"Alice, you little brat, are you deliberately provoking me? Do you think I wouldn't dare lay a hand on you just because the Divine Messenger is here?"
"If you dared to make a move, you wouldn't be standing here talking nonsense to me right now."
Ron listened to their argument and couldn't help but slump over his pillow, but to prevent the situation from getting out of control, he could only bite the bullet and continue to try to mediate:
"Alright, alright, ladies, please refrain from using such vulgar and rude language in public. It damages your image as ladies."
Ron's words did have some effect. After he finished speaking, the two men, who were about to fight again, exchanged a glance, snorted coldly, and turned away, neither willing to acknowledge the other.
"That's right. Let's try to stay calm and resolve this conflict peacefully. I believe the Goddess would agree with that."
Seeing his lover again, Ron breathed a sigh of relief: he had finally calmed the two of them down.
However, the most urgent matter was to resolve the issue quickly. He wasn't sure how long these two could suppress their anger under his mediation. While they were still somewhat receptive, he hurriedly continued to ask:
"Since neither of you wants to speak, then I will. Our topic today is the question of whether that hero should stay or leave. Miss Triss, I would like to ask you a question."
The giant dragon, its body covered in black scales, seemed to have its initial rage soothed by rain upon hearing Ron's words. Its sharp, piercing voice softened, and its golden pupils fixed on the boy before it. From its mouth, which emitted a strong, pungent odor, it spoke:
"Mr. Matthews, may I ask you something?"
"Is that brave man still in the castle?"
"Of course, the latest chapter is breaking the plot! I'm following along. That guy is like a leech, I can't get rid of him no matter what I do, he just insists on staying in my house."
"Could we ask him to come out so we can talk things out?"
"That... I'm afraid it's not possible for now."
Ron was initially pleased to hear that the hero was still in the castle, but the other party's next words puzzled him. He couldn't understand why the dragon wouldn't invite the protagonist to come to him.
He stared in confusion at the other person's golden pupils, in which was reflected the boy's own image.
"To stop that guy from bothering me any further, I gave him some sleeping pills, and now he's still fast asleep in my bed."
A hint of human-like shyness appeared on the dark face of the dragon Triss. It was still a little embarrassing for her, a young dragon who was not yet an adult, to reveal her private matters in such a public place.
Ron looked at the hideous and terrifying dragon face in front of him, and at this moment, he actually showed an expression that was unique to little girls. He felt a mix of emotions that were hard to describe.
For a moment, he didn't know what to say: if he said it was disgusting, it was still an immature dragon, so it wasn't a good way to say it; but if he said it was cute, staring at that big face covered with black scales and exposed fangs, he really couldn't say such a thing against his conscience.
He let out a deep breath, and was just about to ask something else when Alice spoke up first:
"Heh, I knew you fat bastard, you had ulterior motives, you're full of lies, and you're deceiving the divine messenger."
"What nonsense are you spouting all day long, you crazy girl? When have I ever been ill-intentioned, lied, or deceived the Divine Messenger? Explain yourself clearly. If you don't explain yourself clearly today, none of you are allowed to leave."
Upon hearing this, Triss, who had been blushing shyly, suddenly reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. Her scales opened up like a venomous snake in danger, and her huge dragon eyes stared intently at the girl in front of her, as if she would immediately attack if the girl uttered a single wrong word.
Seeing this, Ron knew something was wrong.
But before he could speak, he heard the girl beside him continue:
"You still say you didn't deceive the divine messenger? What kind of strength does the hero possess? How could he possibly be drugged by your so-called sleeping potion? Besides, you said before that you hated that guy, and now you're saying the hero is sleeping in your bed. As far as I know, you fat bastard, you're a germaphobe. Letting a strange man sleep in your bed—is that something you would do?"
Upon hearing this, Ron, who was about to speak, immediately swallowed his words and turned his gaze back to the dragon's face in front of him, wanting to see how the other party would respond next.
After all, he was afraid that he might actually be deceived. If he stayed here, even if he went back, he would probably be laughed at by that old man, Latour.
Ron didn't believe that the vice dean was incapable of monitoring him.
The other party is probably watching your every move from some dark corner right now, and if you are not careful, you will be left with a stain on your record for life.
"You, you, you... I don't want to talk to you anymore, you crazy girl. You're completely unreasonable. Since you say I lied to you, then come with me and see if that brave man is really as I said."
