Chapter 12 Half-Elf
By the time Ron returned to his dormitory, the sun had already begun to set in the east, and a faint crimson hue quietly appeared on the western horizon.
He closed the door and took the heirloom crystal out of the bag.
Looking at the crystal ball gleaming under the lights, a surge of excitement welled up inside him.
Witchcraft~
Following the method I read in the book, I slowly extended my spiritual power, reaching all the way to the crystal ball in my hand, and then stirred up the faint magic power within my body.
The moment his mental and magical power enveloped the object in his hand, streams of information flowed into his mind like streams merging into a river.
Closing my eyes, I felt a profound and inexplicable shock as the words and images suddenly surfaced in my memory.
Is this the magic of wizards? If I had this in my past life, wouldn't I have become an academic luminary with ease?
As his mind wandered, time slipped by unnoticed. The afterglow of the setting sun was made even more vibrant by the red moon in the sky, and the birds in the forest gradually fell silent.
The rate at which information was increasing in Ron's mind gradually slowed down, eventually subsiding.
"Phew~ It's finally finished."
"I never expected that even the lowest level of witchcraft would require so much prerequisite knowledge. It's unbelievable."
He thought about the sheer volume of information about the three witchcrafts and found it all absurd.
The vague text descriptions in his memory, numbering in the hundreds of millions, along with the tens of thousands of images depicting the workings of magic, were giving him a splitting headache. He felt as if his brain would explode if he thought about it any longer.
Fortunately, I have now become a wizard apprentice, and my mental strength has improved significantly in both quality and quantity, which is why I was able to receive this information all at once.
Following the description in his mind, he used magic to create a vortex in his hand, drawing in the surrounding energy particles.
Then, through mental screening, all energy particles other than fire-type particles are eliminated.
Of course, other types of energy will inevitably be mixed in during this process, which involves proficiency and prior knowledge.
But there was no time to worry about that now; he was highly focused, his eyes glued to the small fireball that was gradually taking shape in his hand.
"Bang!"
The fireball that had taken shape in his hand suddenly exploded, sending sparks flying in all directions, almost landing on his bedsheets.
Just then, an invisible breeze swept by, blowing it into the open.
"It failed. Luckily it didn't catch fire, otherwise I would have had to ask Adele and my senior to see if they would be willing to lend me a hand for the night."
Joking aside, Ron pondered the reasons for his earlier failure:
It seems that too many other elemental particles were mixed in, affecting the stability of the turbine, which led to the failure of the sorcery.
As for whether this is true or not, he wasn't really sure. After all, he hadn't yet learned about energy particles, so it was difficult for him to judge whether it was correct or not.
"Looks like I'll have to add this to my course selections tomorrow." As she thought this, she added this item to her schedule.
I suddenly realized that I really don't have enough time.
"Forget it, things will work themselves out. Let's finish today's work first."
With this thought in mind, he immediately went to bed, sat cross-legged, and began his meditation for the day.
After one night.
The next morning, Ron woke up from his meditation as usual. The moment he opened his eyes, a faint red light flashed in his eyes, but no one saw it.
After getting out of bed and tidying myself up, I ran briskly to the classroom, determined not to waste a single minute from today onward.
Some of the freshmen who had just left the classroom couldn't help but rub their eyes when they saw his hurried figure.
"Why is this senior in the freshman area? And he looks so young."
"Yeah, they seem to be about the same age as us," his companion couldn't help but remark.
What they didn't expect was that the senior they thought was their classmate was actually their classmate.
"It sounded like someone was talking to me just now." He was a little confused, but thought he must have misheard, since he had just heard something about "senior" or something, so it shouldn't be about him.
Seeing that the classroom had come into view, I stopped thinking about it and quickened my pace.
Good morning, Ron.
As soon as I entered the classroom, a familiar and gentle female voice reached my ears.
Ron knew who it was without even thinking. He looked up in the direction of the voice, and sure enough, a smile immediately appeared on his face, and he responded with a smile:
Good morning, Miss Adele.
"I already told you, just call me Adele." The girl was a little unhappy with how he addressed her, puffing out her cheeks slightly and looking at him with annoyance.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, I always forget."
Ron, being the kind of person he was, naturally had no embarrassment whatsoever. He calmly changed the subject and moved on from the matter:
"By the way, Adele, what courses did you choose when you were selecting your classes? I'm having trouble deciding which courses to choose lately, and I'd like to get some advice from you, is that alright?"
This method worked quite well; upon hearing it, Adele immediately forgot everything that had just happened.
At the same time, she poured out her knowledge of her course selections to the boy in front of her, like beans spilling from a bamboo tube:
"Of course, I took the advice of a senior and chose a total of four courses: the theory of extraordinary bloodline transplantation and fusion, the theory of energy particle fusion, the elven chronicle, and the mutation of flesh and limbs."
He gave the girl in front of him a strange look; this course selection was a bit weird.
Apart from the most widely used theory of energy particle fusion, the other three are considered niche theories at the Red Moon Tower Academy, with very few people studying them.
Recalling the previous description of Adele on the panel:
[Comment: Good experimental material, but she seems to be exploring her own secrets, which is truly pathetic.]
[The following measures are recommended to reduce mental pollution.]
Option 1: Absorb and purify the Moon Elf bloodline; Option 2: ......
"Could she be a half-elf?" he couldn't help but wonder about the girl's identity.
The term "half-elf" is actually a general term for hybrids of humans and elves. The two species are not very different and have similar aesthetics, so it is normal for them to produce offspring.
Even now, elves can still be frequently seen among the mainstream slaves in the wizarding world.
Both the description on the panel and Adele's course selection seem to point to one answer—she is a half-elf, or at the very least, possesses a thin layer of elven blood.
Most importantly, he had even witnessed the other party transform.
Adele felt a faint blush creep onto her fair face as the boy's gaze lingered on her.
"Ron, what are you thinking about?"
Ron, whose thoughts had been interrupted, immediately snapped out of his reverie and withdrew his impolite gaze:
"Haha, Adele, you're so beautiful! I'm completely mesmerized."
Upon hearing this, the girl's already rosy cheeks became even more radiant, as if they were about to bleed.
"Alright, class is about to start, I'm not talking to you anymore." After saying that, he hurriedly fled, leaving Ron with only his back view.
He smiled and went back to his seat, no longer thinking about the little girl.
After class.
Ron dashed out of the classroom and headed straight for the office. Adele watched him disappear from sight, pouted, and hurried to her next class.
Upon arriving at the course selection center of the office, he said to the staff inside:
"Excuse me, I need to select courses."
"Register your information first."
Like the other people from the academy they had met before, the people here were also cold-faced and spoke in a cold tone.
"After you've made your selections, fill them out on the form, and I'll upload them to the college's information network for you."
After filling in my personal information, the other party handed me something that looked like a tablet computer.
He casually flipped through the box, searching for the target he had already decided on:
Bloodline theory, energy shaping theory, energy particle identification and operation theory, magical energy plant and animal identification.
