Chapter 70 Trying to sneak in

Amidst the flashing swords and clashing blades, the rampaging goblins broke through the defenses that the guards had barely managed to erect.

Several guards collapsed from exhaustion. Without helmets for protection, their heads were smashed open by several bone clubs, killing them instantly.

The remaining few huddled even tighter, their eyes filled with the fear of death.

They are now exhausted from fighting and cannot withstand the next wave of goblin attacks.

Just then, a dazzling flame ignited in the distance.

Suddenly, the goblins outside let out a painful roar.

The blazing fireball, radiating terrifying heat, crashed into the goblin horde.

Flames swept through, engulfing a dozen or so goblins in the middle, burning them to nothingness, leaving not even a speck of ash behind.

The remaining goblins were stunned by the spreading heat wave, halting their charge, and a hint of fear appeared in their originally bloodthirsty eyes.

Luo An, who had emerged from the forest, did not stop, and fireballs flew out one after another.

In the dense swarm of goblins, Roan didn't even need to aim; the fireballs he threw were enough to kill several fierce and burly goblins.

He used the Great Fireball Technique, only shrunk countless times, but its power was incomparable to the Fireball Technique.

Before the goblins could even figure out what was going on, nearly half of their tribe had died.

"Gara-guru!"

A purple-skinned goblin, seemingly the leader of the group, let out a roar and scattered, no longer caring about the humans in front of it.

The surrounding flames were still burning, and Stevin's hand holding the sword trembled uncontrollably.

As he watched the approaching figure, his tense nerves finally relaxed.

One second he thought he was going to die, but now he had miraculously survived the goblins.

"Luo An... thank you for saving us."

Stevin's voice was filled with the joy of surviving a disaster.

He had only heard about Luo An's strength from others before, and he was still somewhat skeptical.

After witnessing his immense strength firsthand, I dared not have any more doubts.

"We all live in the same area, so it's only right that we help each other."

Roan used healing magic to heal the wounds of Stevin and the others, and asked, "I saw the lord fleeing the forest in a panic just now, and I felt something was wrong, so I came in to check."

"Uncle Steven, what happened? Did the raid fail?"

Stevin gave a bitter laugh.

"We've lost...we've lost completely."

He sat on the ground, leaning against a tree.

"Early yesterday morning, we launched an attack on the goblin tribe in the valley as planned. It went smoothly at first. Although there were many ordinary goblins, they were no match for the guard."

"Although there were quite a few goblins of shaman level or above, they were not many. The tribe's defenses were breached by us, and they suffered heavy casualties."

"That chief was very powerful, easily killing more than forty of our brothers. However, under the combined attack of the two lords, he could only retreat step by step and hide deep in the tribe to hold on."

"By last night, the goblin tribe had suffered more than half its casualties, and the chieftain was also seriously injured."

Upon hearing this, Luo An believed that the encirclement and suppression was progressing smoothly and that victory was imminent.

Could something have suddenly changed?

"Victory was within reach, and we all thought we could wipe out the tribe before dawn."

Stevin's face was extremely grim, as if he had returned to that hellish morning.

"This morning, before dawn, a deafening roar suddenly came from outside the valley. Another goblin chieftain led tens of thousands of goblins down from the high ground, completely blocking the valley's exit!"

Luo An could no longer remain calm.

Tens of thousands again?

"The chieftain who was hiding in the cave led the remaining goblins out to fight back, while the chieftain outside led his men to rush in. We were trapped in the valley, surrounded by monsters from both sides."

"The two chieftains joined forces, and the lord and Lord Norland fought desperately, but the difference in numbers and physical strength was too great, and our formation was broken up after a short time."

Stevin closed his eyes, his emotions unable to settle for a long time.

"When the lord saw that things were not going well, he led his personal guards and fought his way out. We were responsible for covering their retreat, but we were surrounded by the goblins who rushed out in batches."

"Of the more than three thousand people in the team, less than one percent will probably make it out."

Luo An stood there, silent for a long time.

A goblin tribe of ten thousand people is enough to put the surrounding area in danger.

Now, another tribe of ten thousand people has appeared, and the two tribes seem to have joined forces to wipe out a lord's guard of more than three thousand people.

Looking at the guards who could barely stand, Luo An said in a deep voice, "It's too dangerous here. I'll take you back first."

Stevin and the remaining four guards helped each other to their feet.

Under the cover of night, Luo An walked at the front, a flame burning in his hand.

It serves both as lighting and as a means to respond to sudden dangers.

Stevin and the others followed closely behind, enduring the pain as they continued onward.

No one spoke along the way; the only sounds in the woods were footsteps and breathing.

When the night was deep and quiet, Luo An led the five people out of the forest and took them to Stevin's farm to settle down.

His slaves looked terrified and uneasy when they saw their master covered in wounds.

These slaves all knew that their master had gone with the lord to exterminate the monsters, and now that he had returned in such a sorry state, the outcome was predictable.

Luo An gave a few brief instructions and then turned to leave.

There was one thing he needed to figure out quickly.

The alliance between the two tribes could not possibly be a coincidence.

He needs to go to the forest again.

Of course, Celia had to be brought along this time, as her translation skills were especially important.

......

Upon returning, Roan saw Celia and Elena standing guard at the door.

"Master, how is it?"

Seeing the worry on his face, the two women asked him anxiously.

"This is bad, the two lords have a guard of over three thousand men..."

Luo An quickly told them what had happened in the forest.

After hearing this, both of them showed worried expressions.

"Irena, you stay at the farm. Celia and I will go into the forest together."

Luo An gave a brief instruction and then prepared to leave.

Kelseria hurriedly went inside and brought out two long loaves of bread.

"Master, you haven't had dinner yet. Have some bread to tide you over."

Luo An smiled and ate his bread as he walked.

Are you scared?

As they entered the forest, Luo An asked a question.

"With my master here, I'm not afraid."

Celia shook her head. Although she was indeed shocked, she was also mentally prepared.

"Alright, let's go see what these two goblin tribes are up to."

A blue magical glow shone on the two of them, and when the light faded, only two hunched goblins remained.

The two disguised themselves as goblins and headed deeper into the forest.

All that could be seen along the way were the already cold corpses of humans and goblins.

The closer you are to the tribe, the more corpses you will find.

"Waaaaah~ Waaaaah~"

"Knock knock knock!!!"

From a great distance, Roan and Celia could hear the cries of goblins and the sound of drums being beaten coming from the tribe.

They stood on the high ground and looked down.

There were more than a dozen goblins holding bone clubs standing guard at the entrance of the tribe.

Inside, a campfire burned, and the bodies of the guards were scattered everywhere.

Some of the guards who hadn't died were tied to wooden stakes, their expressions blank.

A group of goblins surrounded them, dancing and drumming wildly in celebration.

Luo An and Celia exchanged a glance and stepped down from the platform.

They easily infiltrated the tribe by joining a group of drunken goblins who had just looted the area.
