When Luo An returned to the house, Elena had already prepared dinner.

Upon seeing her master, she hesitated before speaking.

"Master, my sister's injuries haven't fully healed, and she's still quite emotionally unstable. It's not appropriate for her to dine with you right now. I hope you can understand."

"You'll eat with Celia for now, I'll go keep my sister company and eat with her."

After Luo An took his seat, he looked at the half-closed door.

He understood what Elena meant.

"It's alright, let your sister rest well, do whatever she likes."

Luo An had seen Freya's reservedness before.

Her current condition is indeed unsuitable; forcing her to join will only put more pressure on her.

"Thank you for understanding, Master."

Elena thought her host was indeed very kind. After thanking her, she carried some of the food into the room.

Luo An felt that his laissez-faire attitude was actually a kind of goodwill.

"Master, let's eat first."

Celia served her master a bowl of soup.

Looking at Elena's appearance, Roan began to consider becoming a beastman.

With permission, Roan and Celia reached out and gently stroked the fluffy cat ears.

He touched it while nodding.

Irene felt as if she had been electrocuted, her body going numb and tingling.

What the three of them didn't know was that Freya was watching all of this from inside the house.

Seeing that the two hadn't stopped touching each other, Elena had no choice but to clap her hands to force the touching session to end.

Luo An transformed once again with full confidence.

This time, a strong cat-eared beastman appeared.

Celia has transformed into a pink-eared catgirl, possessing a "wild" beauty unlike anything she's seen before.

She had great muscle definition, a cat tail swaying behind her, and every now and then she would imitate Elena and lick her arm.

Luo An's gaze was involuntarily drawn to a certain place.

I don’t know if it was just something I said casually yesterday, but the place has become much more vast, completely different from the somewhat barren place when I was an elf.

Elena thought the two looked exactly like her own kind, and then went inside to keep her sister company.

During breaks in practice, Luo An would occasionally glance towards the direction of the forest.

According to Stevin, at this point, Brian and the army led by another lord should have already launched a general offensive against the goblin tribe.

Three thousand fully armed guards should be no problem dealing with a large goblin tribe.

The dozen or so guards behind him followed closely, their faces showing relief at surviving the ordeal.

Luo An's face darkened.

Their hasty retreat and disheveled appearance could not possibly indicate a successful encirclement and annihilation.

Two lords with an army of over three thousand men were actually defeated?

That goblin tribe is so powerful?

A sense of unease welled up in Luo An's heart.

He simply told Celia, and without even having dinner, he hurried out of the farm and into the forest from the place where Brian had just fled.

The deeper you go into the forest, the stronger the stench of blood becomes in the air.

After walking for about two hours, the roadside was littered with the mutilated corpses of guards and the shattered bodies of goblins.

Luo An quickened his pace and became more alert as he stared intently at the surrounding trees.

Soon, he heard the sound of clashing weapons coming from not far ahead.

There's a fight going on!

Luo An moved closer, following the direction of the sound.

In an open space, dozens of burly goblins formed a large circle, their eyes gleaming with ferocity, and they were shouting excitedly.

Inside the encirclement, a dozen or so wounded guards stood back to back, forming a small defensive circle.

They gripped their weapons, remaining constantly vigilant against the goblins who could attack at any moment.

"Hold on! Don't break formation!"

Stevin, at the forefront of the guards, gripped his sword with both hands, slaying an attacking goblin before staring directly at the goblins that surrounded them.

His helmet was long gone, and his face was covered in blood.

"Wow!"

A roar echoed across the open field, and the goblins charged once again at the exhausted guards!
