Dark Eldar

469 Small Blood Vial Potion

In the afternoon, Loki woke up. He felt refreshed. Lying in bed, Loki checked his current status. (Shift+T)

"Full of energy, already resting! Great!" (200% EXP boost! Double EXP reward!)

"It's a pity I only got 8 bars of double experience, but reaching level 30 shouldn't be a problem. Now that I have the Warrior Set (job selection reward equipment; blue), plus the Warrior skills I just learned, those little monsters outside, just wait and see, haha~" Loki said self-deprecatingly. To quickly forget his troubles and unpleasantness, he chose to be optimistic. (Emoji changed to a smile)

Lunchtime arrived, and Rocky ordered filet mignon and a specialty red wine. The meal voucher included free food and drinks.

"Sir, how would you like your filet mignon cooked?" the waitress asked with a smile as she took the menu. She was the same human girl from this morning.

"Medium-rare, thank you," Loki replied softly, and politely handed her a meal voucher from his backpack for verification.

"Ding~" (Sound of meal voucher being redeemed)

"Received, please wait a moment. Enjoy your meal."

Loki savored his filet mignon, paired with a specialty red wine. Since the wine was included in the meal voucher, its taste was mediocre, but Loki could still tell the difference, having drunk exorbitantly priced wines before.

The dining environment at the three-star Meger Hotel is very elegant, with a beautiful pianist playing soothing light music.

The diners in the restaurant included mages, warriors, thieves, hunters (whose pets had to be recalled), bards, and heroes whose classes were not displayed (classes could be hidden). There were also a few couples. Perhaps due to the hotel's high prices, the occupancy rate was only 20%, with most tables empty.

Loki only drank a small glass of red wine. There was still a lot left in the bottle, and he wanted to leave it for the waiter. After all, the bottle of red wine cost about 20 gold coins, and it was sold in the hotel shop.

Silverpine Forest, coordinates 133.271.

Loki fought some monsters for a while, and his Savage Charge skill proficiency was already at level 20. He was still 280 skill points away from reaching the first stage of the 300 skill level cap.

Within a 100-meter radius, whenever a Butterfly Moth* (level 27, quest monster; neutral; * indicates it can be included in the monster encyclopedia) spawns, it is immediately targeted by Loki's Savage Charge. Although the Butterfly Moth is a quest monster, Loki has not accepted any related quests; he is simply practicing and experiencing various basic warrior skills here.

[Sword Mastery][Blade Mastery]: Basic passive skills for warriors. By mastering their weapons, they can trigger an additional 5% critical hit chance, achieving high burst damage!

"Whoosh! Whoosh!" (Skill notification sound activated)

Loki unlocked two more skill books.

Although Loki was a mage before, he was no stranger to physical attacks. It turns out that in the other world, Loki later practiced "dual cultivation of combat and magic".

"The warrior skills in the classic version are different from those in the otherworld. Just the way they exert force and the moves of the skills are quite different..." Loki muttered to himself as he fought the monster.

After practicing for a while, Loki walked to the shade of a tree, put down his weapon, sat cross-legged on the grass, and drank some potions. (Small health potion: restores 16 health points every 5 seconds)

"My health hasn't actually dropped much. These level 20+ normal monsters are weak in front of my sturdy plate armor. Sigh, leveling up alone is a bit... a bit boring..." Loki, resting on a rock, tossed away an empty potion and sighed. He didn't plan to learn alchemy later, so these empty potions had no value.

Loki only glanced at the descriptions of the skill books [Sword Mastery] and [Knife Mastery] before unlocking them.

Loki had already mastered all these most basic skills back in his other world. Now he had to learn them all from scratch? It was bound to be tedious. Fortunately, Loki was a diligent person; he could sense something new in it, though he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

"It feels like I've seen it before, but it's also a bit strange. Maybe it's because my level is low. I used to be at level 999, but now I'm only level 29. The difference is striking. And the feeling of straining my muscles... it's like... like clay being sculpted anew? It's both fresh and unfamiliar..."

After resting, Loki practiced for a while longer. During this time, other young heroes passed through Silverpine Forest. They were there on a quest; they only stopped at a distance to watch Loki fight monsters, and then left without saying hello.

The area where Loki was leveling up was covered in shimmering corpses of wild monsters, dropping colorful wings (green, for Tailoring), scraps of cloth (white, for Tailoring), bones (white, for Cooking), and other items that could be sold for money. Loki found it too troublesome to collect them, only picking them up occasionally when a piece of equipment dropped.

Loki's leveling speed is a little slow because he hasn't taken on any quests.

He finally reached level 30. He kept fighting and killing monsters, which gave him a sense of release.

Gradually, the respawn rate of the Butterflies and Moths in Silverpine Forest became inconsistent with his level (white, experience points reduced). Loki could almost kill a Butterfly with a single strike.

As darkness fell, Loki put away his weapons and ran back to the city.

He was already level 31 at this point, having leveled up entirely by grinding mobs. His [Savage Charge], [Sword Mastery], and [Blade Mastery] skills were all at level 50+.

Back at the hotel, Loki took a hot shower, then changed into ordinary clothes (a gentleman's shirt, purple, a paid outfit), dried his hair with a hairdryer (hair dryer, engineering), and went downstairs for dinner, feeling refreshed. He checked his experience bar; he had already used up today's double experience bonus.

"Enjoy your meal!" the waiter said with a smile, handing over the tray. The human girl from lunchtime had already left; this waiter was a young man, around 18 years old. (Note: NPCs must be verified with their real names; real age has been verified; minors are prohibited from logging in.)

"Thank you!" Loki politely expressed his gratitude.

That evening, Loki turned on the light and organized the beginner and intermediate skill books that his senior, Lyson, had given him. He temporarily put the ones he didn't need (those unsuitable for his class) in a drawer.

Lying on the soft bed in the hotel, Loki looked out the window.

"Elena's gone, it feels like something's missing? While leveling up, although I can calm down and really enjoy the experience, isn't it a bit boring now?" Loki scratched his head and rolled over.

"No wonder, other heroes just pick up quests here and submit them there, some even team up to do quests together. The rewards for side quests are quite generous, so wouldn't that make things less monotonous...?"

Lost in thought, Loki fell peacefully asleep.
