Dark Eldar

46.3 Think before you act

Edward picks up the artifact "Eye of Fate". (Orange, max level; said to have a certain probability of changing fate; due to its antiquity, the artifact's records are incomplete.)

The "Eye of Destiny" radiated a dazzling golden halo. Being a dropped item, it was naturally more "magnificent" than any forged artifact!

Edward thought, "Perhaps my time magic, combined with the 'Eye of Fate,' could allow me to do many things? Even ruling the entire Mirror World isn't impossible?"

[Note: "Degradation" is a process every intermediate mage must go through... and one of the reasons why many highly skilled mages are unable to continue progressing.]

Edward thought, "If I control the entire Mirror World and break the curse to leave, wouldn't I become an incredibly powerful figure? I wouldn't even need the power of the other world anymore. After defeating the Dark Legion, I could explain to the elders that I've repented, wouldn't that work?"

That's human nature; we're always finding reasons for everything we do, whether it's righteous or evil...

Yundar's territory. Loki found the source of the Freshwater River. On the way, Loki thought that today should be an important day for the opening of the "High Mage Gate".

"Each cooldown period is 100 years. I once longed to go inside, but unfortunately, I never had the chance."

"Forget it, I hope Edward and the others can advance smoothly!" Loki didn't really want to join in the fun. Right now, "Yundar" and "Kevin Garney" that Demar mentioned were what interested him the most.

The source of the Yundar Freshwater River is close to ordinary water sources. The reservoir is vast and its waters are unfathomably deep; Loki saw the "River Monster" (Long-necked Beast, Level 30).

Loki had no intention of fighting it in the water, even though it would drop a lot of items.

"The truth cannot be found unless the water monster is killed!"

Loki hesitated for a long time, but ultimately gave up. He didn't want to kill innocent people indiscriminately.

Looking at the time, it was still early. Torn between two options, Loki decided to use magic. To some extent, Dark's appearance had distracted Loki, and his "psychic journey" had unknowingly strayed further and further from its original purpose...

Loki's flight altitude is approximately 1000 meters. The speed is roughly the same as the wind speed.

Loki kept flying towards higher altitudes!

"Too slow! The wind resistance is too great! I have to use 'Soul Assistance'." (Soul Assistance, an ancient spell that requires incantation to increase the caster's flight speed by 300% for 5 hours)

Soon, in about two hours, Loki arrived at the edge of Yundar—the "North Pole"!

Here, it's freezing cold. A completely different scene altogether! Loki has decided to stay here tonight and have a major battle with the "Alien" leader! To settle the score!

Dark Messenger Dark and rebel leader Ludar killed many raptors and beasts along the way! The barbarian king was so full of meat that he could barely walk.

Ever since the Barbarian King was "injured," "binge eating" seems to have become his defining characteristic. Luddar, on the contrary, was quite pleased and relieved him of much of the "burden."

Night fell. Loki, aside from the cold, did not see the so-called "King of the Mutants."

It's also very strange on Dak's side; not a single alien species has come to attack.

"Soul Assist" consumes a lot of mana. Loki hid in a fairly "cozy" little cave to warm up and replenish his mana. He didn't plan to "roam" anywhere tonight; he wanted to replenish his mana first, in case the so-called "Alien King" suddenly attacked!

"Good night, my lord." Before going to sleep, Ludall quietly greeted the dark air.

He actually wanted to subtly probe the Dark Messenger's intentions; Rudar, having lived this long, had long since mastered the art of "thinking before acting."
