Dark Eldar

47. Complex "Test Questions"

Edward obtained the artifact "Eye of Fate". He did not expect the Cyclops to be so calm. If it were a simple one-on-one fight, he might not have been able to kill him.

Edward is a man of his word, and he decided to go find Loki as soon as possible before the exams closed, and introduce him to "Kyklopp".

"What's the next step? I haven't even advanced yet!" Edward was perplexed. There were never any "answer keys" for advanced magic exams.

Edward wanted to test the "artifact" in his hand. But he could control the speed of time, so he understood the word "fate" more deeply than others.

"There is a plan in the universe that no one can change. If fate could be altered simply by the 'Eye of Fate'? The Cyclops probably wouldn't even need to see Loki; he would have already fled."

"Look! Edward is back! Is it really him?" Some intermediate mages who were still waiting for the "test" thought the "examiner" had arrived!

After Edward rejoined the team, the other intermediate mages remained silent. After all, there was still competition, and no one wanted to offer any opinion. (Note: Dignity)

Edward III had thought his path to advancement would be relatively smooth, but now it seems that the only clue is actually related to Loki.

"Damn it, what's so great about a Creator's Hammer? It's everywhere!" Edward thought angrily.

(Note: Jealousy stems from a lack of self-awareness. High-level mages, besides needing exceptional magical attack power, must also have a comprehensive understanding of themselves. The intermediate mage exam also includes similar content, except that Loki was merely an insignificant novice "illusion" mage at that time...)

Inside the magic conveyor belt, some people saw the "Eye of Fate" in Edward's hand!

"Is Kicrops, son of Moro, still alive?" Wolverine asked. Wolf priests don't count towards the high mage quota; their profession belongs to a separate branch.

"It's already dead, so it's obviously a mirror image!" Edward answered frankly. He also wanted to chat, and maybe even adjust his mindset. Perhaps there would be some new discoveries?

"The ancient mythical beasts in the mirror world also have 20% more attack power, so you should be able to leave now," John said.

"No, my level hasn't changed yet, which means my trial isn't over!" Edward said.

John didn't press further. He knew the etiquette of a mid-level priest.

Edward quietly left them without telling anyone. Of the remaining group, including John, there were only six; the whereabouts of the others were unknown, perhaps some were engaged in a fierce battle with some "great god"!

Edward flew slowly along the path he had come from. He was afraid of something: "Will I be able to come back in after leaving the portal?" (CD)

No one ever taught Edward "exam instructions" or "exam rules."

(Note: Free will is more important for an intermediate mage, but it is "absolutely indispensable" for an advanced mage!)

Edward's flight did not stop; he moved rapidly toward the exit.

He quickly reached the exit. Strangely, the exit was unguarded, and Elder Sun Yun was nowhere to be found, which was different from Edward's expectations. Edward had even prepared his explanation... As he stepped out, the artifact "Eye of Destiny" vanished with him...

Edward wanted to find Loki, but he hadn't personally explored the Yundar map. (Edward's magical map wasn't fully unfolded yet; unexplored wilderness areas would still be displayed in black, except for the major cities of the world.)

Upon returning to the temple, the elders saw Edward in a hurry but pretended not to notice, knowing he had not yet successfully advanced.

In front of the crystal ball, Edward casts a spell to find Loki.

"Strange? It's usually so easy to find!" Edward's spellcasting speed was extremely fast! He was afraid that he wouldn't have enough time; once his progress bar "updated," it would mean another 100 years later. He would have let Elder Sun Yun and everyone else down!

(Note: High-level monks must have the capacity to bear burdens. This is considered a "test point".)

"Found him!" Edward exclaimed as he saw Loki warming himself in the Arctic ice!

Despite Elder Sun Yun's usual leisurely demeanor, he felt a slight unease upon seeing his beloved disciple in such a flustered state. He glanced at him every now and then, but dared not speak. He knew that at this moment, he was "powerless to help."

"Loki, Cyclops is my test! Can you come and help him be resurrected?"

"What? You said what?? You want to resurrect him? With him...?"

"That evil emperor?" Before Loki could answer, the elders of the Temple erupted in uproar! They all voiced their objections. The reason was that ancient texts recorded—"That was the illegitimate son of the Old Gods, possibly the ancient evil emperor!" (Due to the great age of the texts, the scrolls were blurred and indistinct; even his fall was recorded in a very ominous manner, let alone anything else?)

Loki heard Edward's request, and he also overheard the elders of the temple discussing the matter.

"Edward, you should settle things with the elders first. I don't care. The multiverse has changed. Even if there's one more divine beast, it won't matter!" The elders heard Loki's reply clearly.

"Edward, don't follow his example! If you have any difficulties, you can discuss them with us! Don't harm others just to advance your own rank!" Elder Schopenhauer reprimanded.

Edward had never seen him so angry before. He had always thought that the elders didn't really care about the "distribution of divine beasts." (The divine beasts existed in mysterious corners of multiple worlds, and the archmages and elders had long since stopped attacking them. Perhaps their equipment was sufficient, or perhaps they simply couldn't defeat them. This had always been a mystery in the other world.)

"What's wrong with having one more ancient giant in the world? Maybe he's already reformed? Didn't Loki also say it might not be a bad thing?" Edward argued forcefully and loudly! Since he didn't want to wait another 100 years, and given that things had come to this point, he had to "speak up"!

"What is Loki? He just happens to have a hammer!" High Priest Wolfd looked down on Loki and spoke his true thoughts.

Elder Sun Yun didn't say much after hearing this. After all, one was his beloved disciple, and the other was someone he had once guided. Although Loki's "Mjolnir" had no direct connection to him, there was still an indirect link.

Edward III saw that the elders all looked worried and did not want him to resurrect the Cyclops.

He knew that further words would be futile... An unnamed fire was burning within him; Edward even wanted to destroy the "other world"!

(Note: Anger is a required topic in the advanced magic exam! Every master must learn to control it, to be patient, and to endure it...)

"I was wrong! Thank you! I still have the exam to take."

Finally! Edward suppressed his "nameless anger." Deep down, he was still somewhat resentful.

The exam door was still open, so Edward quickly squeezed inside!
