Dark Eldar

226. Icy and snowy land

A duel between masters. Victory or defeat often hinges on mindset. Hesitation or rashness can easily lead to defeat.

Iron Man George, he climbed the ranks of Frost Mages step by step through hard work (a formally trained graduate). While his personality isn't particularly outstanding, he's incredibly diligent. Facing his most difficult test yet, he doesn't want to give up easily...

"What should I do? My teammate John is already under control, and my chances of escaping are almost zero..." George was actively thinking about tactics inside the "refrigerator" he had made. (Skill explanation: "Refrigerator," also known as "Ice Barrier," is one of the most effective skills for countering enemies, with a level cap of around 25. For example, "a level 50 ice mage can freeze high-level monsters or heroes of level 75 or 80.")

The other Dark Eldar mage was quite clever; he always maintained formation with the tall mage "Velen." Their tactical formation was simply one in front of the other, one to the left and one to the right, or overlapping—nothing technically difficult. But he felt it was absolutely necessary to avoid going solo.

The 30-player battlefield rules do not allow draws, and the match time is limited to 3 days and 72 hours, therefore the "timer" is negligible! No one has ever played that long. The match ends when one side surrenders! Or, the opponent is directly knocked out (bloody).

"Hey, where is he?? Such a coward! It's just a 'game,' why take it so seriously?" Velen teased. [Analysis]: The "game" he mentioned was probably just a casual, sarcastic remark. If he could truly awaken, then the Dark Elf Velen might be "restricted." Other servers in the multiverse have already reached a consensus: no one will allow a "highly awakened" hero to exist. This is usually consistent with the practices in other worlds! The "talkative ones" in the "wanderer" army are representatives of high awakening. Their expressive abilities, whether speaking, describing, or writing, are no longer usable normally. Their "attributes" are only 110 of the "original hero" (forced offline, unpaid fees). There are also heroes with extraordinary willpower who haven't "logged out" yet (FAMER gold-farming "deadbeats"), and the order has set up a "blacklist."

The battlefield at Jonah's Frozen Lake (835159) is bitterly cold. The powerful DPS Wolverine has been completely neutralized. Of the remaining three Frost Mages, one is George from another world, known as "Iron Man." The other two are from the mysterious new race, the "Dark Eldar."

The atmosphere outside the arena was incredibly heated, with attention at an all-time high! There were even instances of people being forced offline. The female administrator kindly reminded everyone: "Please try not to spam 'F5' too often, and don't send any small gifts. All voice channels are closed. Even the streamer dared not hype things up anymore..." There were also goblin business tycoons placing bets (gambling, legal in multiple worlds), with a live odds of 1395 (in-play). Although the "development trend" for John the Wolverine from another world was definitely a losing proposition, it couldn't dampen everyone's "worship" of the otherworldly mage. The betting odds, needless to say, were overwhelmingly in favor of the "Dark Eldar." Before the "Dark Eldar" were introduced, they had already "dominated" certain mid-to-high-end RPGs, and people no longer rejected them as much as before (marketization).

Inside the "refrigerator," John was still contemplating tactics, time ticking by. Wolverine's situation was dire. The tall "Vyren" was slowly killing him.

"Your perseverance is incredible! My claws are almost frozen off, and you're still not complaining?" Velen, a seasoned battlefield veteran, wanted to torture Wolverine to death, hoping his teammates would appear to rescue him. Velen might sense the otherworldly mage hiding behind some ice rock, but he couldn't easily search for it stone by stone; he was afraid of falling into a trap. (In addition to the mysterious "Dark Eldar" making their debut in the 30-player battlefield, there's something even more "BT"! Even the Dark Eldar fear the "Mysterious Man." The battle-experienced Dark Eldar would never take risks, such as setting probing traps, as these could be fatal. For example, some highly poisonous buffs, goblin high-explosive traps, dark primal magic traps, and "advanced time control magic" could all deal a fatal blow to the enemy!)

John Wolverine gritted his teeth! He resolutely refused to cry for help or utter a single groan. He didn't even laugh. He didn't want to die, much less lose because of his "weakness." He knew: "At this moment, my father, Elder Wolfd, is watching me." (Note: The crystal ball cannot directly view the match, but it can connect to the "spectator signal." "Chat mode" is not allowed on the battlefield.)

At the critical moment!! Suddenly! The tall Dark Eldar mage, "Velen," felt a chill run down his spine!!

"Blizzard! (Intermediate Skill)" George finally "Breaked the Ice" and made his move!! I wonder if he's figured it out yet...

It turns out that, in the distance, Iron Man George was casting a "Blizzard" skill (intermediate)! Logically, his casting range shouldn't be enough to reach the "Dark Eldar."

"It's him! Haha! Yo-yo!! The enemy's here, the show's about to begin!!" The Dark Eldar Velen immediately perked up. His eyes were yellowish-green, and in the cold air, they looked somewhat like the eyes of a Persian cat. (Heterochromia, a high-level enchantment, bonus unknown)

"Vellen, shall we kill the werewolf first, then kill him?" another dark Eldar mage suggested.

"Why do this? Wouldn't it be better to just let them admit defeat on their own?" Viren felt victory was within reach; there was no need to knock out all his opponents. Doing so would be less honorable. (It's a common understanding that beating your opponent to submission is more exciting than a knockout, at least it shows they are "convinced.")

"Blizzard! Blizzard! Blizzard!! (Intermediate skill, consumes mana!!)" On the other end, George kept casting spells in place, and the frozen lake battlefield instantly became a world of ice and snow.
