Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 40 Sweet Christmas
"Mom and Dad!" Hermione rushed over and hugged the Grangers.
It is now the morning of the second day, and they have finally returned to the Muggle world.
The Grangers came to pick them up early in the morning, and little Hermione's gloom finally vanished when she saw her parents.
"Welcome back, baby, and welcome back, Kevin too."
"Uncle and Auntie," Kevin said as he walked over and greeted the two parents.
"Alright, let's go back now. They've prepared a big meal for you today," Mr. Granger said, gesturing for them to get in the car and head home.
They naturally went back to Hermione's house first. After being separated for so long, they naturally wanted to get together and catch up.
Neither of them mentioned the attack, and there was no need for them to worry about it.
They soon returned home.
"Daughter, your hair is getting longer and longer. Would you like to cut it shorter to make things easier?" Mrs. Granger asked, patting Hermione's head as they sat around the sofa chatting after finishing their meal.
Hermione touched her hair; it was indeed quite long.
However, she looked at Kevin, as if wanting to ask for his opinion.
"Don't worry, you look good with any hairstyle. If you find it inconvenient, just cut it shorter, it will be easier to manage that way."
"Or you could try a high ponytail. Hermione would look really cool in it," Kevin suggested after thinking for a moment.
"Mom, can you help me try tying this up?"
Hermione immediately asked her mother to try it on her.
A tall ponytail was quickly tied up, and it looked really good.
This gives Hermione a dashing, capable, and efficient style, which fits her image as a top student and a big sister.
"Does it look good?" Hermione turned around in front of Kevin.
Mr. Granger was heartbroken; his beloved daughter wouldn't even show him her new hairstyle anymore.
"It looks great, it suits you perfectly." Kevin touched the high ponytail.
A youthful vibe is palpable.
"Hermione has such beautiful hair and is so cute, she can try out different styles," Mrs. Granger said.
Hmm, after hearing what Mrs. Granger said, Kevin thought, why not learn a little hairstyling so he can do Hermione's hair in the future?
He told Mrs. Granger about the idea and asked if she could teach him some basic hair styling techniques.
Mrs. Granger readily agreed.
Hermione was also very happy, as Kevin could now help her comb her hair.
Kevin's learning ability is beyond doubt; he can basically learn something after being taught by Mrs. Granger only once.
Kevin was also taught how to care for and maintain Hermione's hair, and from now on, he would be in charge of Hermione's hair.
Kevin, of course, wouldn't refuse.
Although magic is convenient, sometimes it's more romantic to do it yourself.
Little Hermione happily enjoyed Kevin's service, just like a cat purring contentedly when being petted.
However, after Kevin braided her hair into several high ponytails, she stopped smiling.
"Kevin!" Hermione bristled like a cat and chased Kevin all over the house.
The Grangers snuggled together, watching their two little ones play and frolic, clearly enjoying the simple pleasures of family life.
The next day, Kevin also took Hermione to the orphanage.
As usual, I brought a lot of things, as well as a considerable amount of donations.
Last year, with Kevin's financial support, many parts of the orphanage were renovated, and the other children also got new clothes and plenty of food, making the place look better and better.
This is his first home in this world, so of course he wouldn't abandon it after leaving the orphanage.
Even the Grangers have come here to do charity work, giving children free oral health checkups and donating a lot of toiletries and cleaning supplies.
......
"Phew, it's so cold."
Kevin and Hermione were strolling along a bustling English street when they came to a square where a huge Christmas tree stood, adorned with various decorations.
"Give me your hand." Kevin held out his hand, gesturing for Hermione to place her hand in his.
Hermione's face was flushed, whether from the cold or something else, it was hard to tell.
She obediently placed her hand on Kevin's hand.
Her little hands are soft and feel nice to squeeze.
Kevin put his hands together with Hermione's and warmed them with his own.
Their bracelets also emitted a faint, soft glow.
"Kevin, why are your hands so warm?" Hermione felt the warmth of Kevin's hands.
"Maybe it's because I'm physically strong."
"If my hands get cold in the future, can I hold your hands...?" Hermione asked Kevin with a hint of shyness.
This little adult Hermione only acts like a little girl at times like this.
"Whether your hands are cold or not, it's always fine," Kevin smiled.
Both of them were fully aware of each other's thoughts; they were just one step away from becoming a real couple.
However, neither of them spoke, as it seemed that now was not a good time.
The key is that they are only 12 or 13 years old, so it seems not bad for them to enjoy the ambiguity of their current relationship.
Hermione happily took Kevin's hand and continued shopping. She then took Kevin to buy new clothes, saying that their clothes would soon be too small.
Kevin thought about it and agreed, so the two of them went to try on quite a few clothes.
Hermione picked out warm colors for Kevin, but later felt they weren't suitable.
Kevin's appearance is quite cute, but you can feel that his face is becoming more and more stern, just like his hairstyle, which is not very suitable for the cute puppy style.
Perhaps we should go for a style more like a big, wolfhound?
Hermione found some cool-toned, fitted clothes for Kevin, and sure enough, his style immediately improved.
"Hehe, I have great taste." Little Hermione looked at Kevin, who she had dressed up very handsomely, and proudly boasted.
Kevin isn't very good at picking out clothes, but Hermione thinks every single one she tries on looks great.
He was tempted to buy everything, but Hermione stopped him, saying that these clothes would need to be replaced in a year or two, and he shouldn't buy too many.
Makes sense.
Finally, I picked out a few cute outfits and a few more formal ones.
Wear something cute for dates, and something formal for school.
Then the two of them walked down the street in their new clothes.
Kevin, looking incredibly handsome and sharp, is holding hands with Hermione, who seems like a sweet girl next door.
The contrast between the sharp-looking guy and the doting way he looked at the cute and sweet girl made casual fans ship them.
After returning home.
"Wow, Kevin, you look so handsome when you come back!" Mrs. Granger hugged Kevin with delight. She was growing more and more fond of this handsome baby.
"Mom!" But little Hermione wasn't happy; she'd hardly ever hugged Kevin herself.
"You little rascal, what's wrong with letting Mommy hug Kevin? Isn't that right, Kevin?"
"..."
Kevin dared not speak; he couldn't afford to offend either of them...
Then, under Mrs. Granger's mocking gaze, Hermione snatched Kevin away, refusing to let her hold him anymore.
......
Kevin hadn't forgotten his earlier idea of wanting a magic camera.
So the day before Christmas, he took Hermione to Diagon Alley and found a pretty good camera.
This way they can record their happy moments together.
Their first photo taken together at Hogwarts was sent back to Hermione's house a long time ago and is now displayed there for the Grangers to see.
Kevin actually really liked that photo. The girl's blushing face and the boy's sunny disposition, the two leaning against each other, it felt like they had the whole world's happiness rushing towards them.
However, he still agreed to Hermione's idea of sending her home, since it's better to give her parents the first photo taken at school.
Anyway, we'll be living together from now on, so I can see him anytime.
Kevin bought Hermione a marshmallow and then snapped a picture of her while she was eating it.
She's a little silly, but also kind of cute.
Then Hermione chased after him demanding he delete it.
As expected, girls care a lot about their image in photos.
.....
It's Christmas again.
"Hermione, Merry Christmas."
While Hermione was sitting in front of the Christmas tree unwrapping her parents' presents, Kevin secretly took a large orange cat out of the room and said to Hermione.
"Ahhh! Kitty! So cute~" Hermione excitedly hugged the cat and rubbed its belly against her.
This cat is frighteningly calm; it doesn't resist at all.
"Kevin, how did you know I really wanted a cat?" Hermione asked Kevin, hugging the cat with delight.
"I noticed your roommate brought a pet cat this year, and you've been watching it a lot, so of course you know," Kevin said, patting Hermione's head.
Hermione snuggled into Kevin's arms with the cat in her arms, and then rubbed against Kevin like a cat herself.
"Hehehe~" Then he hugged the cat and chuckled foolishly.
"Kevin, let's name this cat. What do you think would be a good name?"
"If you let me name it, I'll just call it Big Orange."
"We can't be so casual. If you ask me, let's call him Crookshan."
"I feel that Da Ju is more down-to-earth than me."
"Cluck Hills sounds much better," Hermione protested.
"How about we let him choose? We'll each call out our favorite name, and if he agrees, we'll call out that name."
"Sure! Crookshanks will love the name. Right, Crookshanks?" Hermione agreed while secretly brainwashing the cat.
The two placed the orange cat on the sofa.
"Big Orange," Kevin called out first.
However, the cat did not respond to him.
"I knew it, he definitely wouldn't like this name."
"Krok Hill, Krok Hill."
Hermione lay down in front of the cat, calling out expectantly.
However, the cat ignored her as well.
Kevin stood behind Hermione and secretly waved his wand.
The cat suddenly reacted and meowed.
"Yay! Crookshanks responded to me!" Hermione excitedly picked up Crookshanks and winked at Kevin triumphantly.
Kevin patted Hermione's head helplessly: "You won, okay?"
Hermione clearly enjoyed this, squinting her eyes happily as she nuzzled Kevin.
Hermione's gift to Kevin was a scarf she had knitted herself, a deep blue scarf with two white vertical stripes running along the entire length.
It perfectly suits Kevin's temperament, and with last year's cape, Kevin's image is becoming increasingly handsome.
"Thank you, Hermione." Kevin held Hermione's hand; she had knitted it all by hand, and the material was very comfortable.
Hermione nestled into Kevin's arms, everything unspoken.
