Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 41 Turning Draco Against Him

The holiday passed quickly, and Kevin and Hermione said goodbye to the Grangers and returned to Hogwarts.

"Harry, Ron, we're back." They arrived at the synagogue, where the two little ones were waiting for them to return, just like last Christmas.

"Kevin, why are you dressed even more flamboyantly than last year?"

Ron looked at Kevin, who was now wearing Hermione's scarf and cloak, one hand in his pocket, striking a pose.

"You don't know anything," Kevin said smugly, flicking his scarf.

"Kevin, Hermione, let's get down to business. I heard your train back was attacked, is that true?" Harry asked, leaning closer.

They had heard about it before, and although the college tried to suppress the news, some students couldn't help but share it with their classmates on campus, and then it got out.

"You guys are pretty well-informed."

"So it's true! What happened? How could someone dare to attack a Hogwarts student?" Ron asked in surprise.

Few people knew that Kevin was the first victim, so the two of them were unaware that Kevin had been attacked.

"This isn't a good place to talk, let's find somewhere else."

Kevin didn't answer immediately, but led the group to visit Hagrid's cabin.

Because of his speedrun through the escape room, many things differ from the movie.

For example, in the movie, Hagrid was the prime suspect in the previous Chamber of Secrets incident, so he was later imprisoned in Azkaban by the Ministry of Magic.

But because of Kevin, this didn't happen this time.

"Uncle Hagrid, Merry Christmas, and thank you for your Christmas present."

"Oh, you're back! Come in and have a seat. I just made some hot tea," Hagrid said warmly, inviting them inside.

"Kevin, I heard you were attacked on your way home. Were you hurt?"

Hagrid also learned of this news and asked with concern.

"Don't worry, Uncle Hagrid, I've dealt with all the attackers; none of them were injured," Kevin replied calmly, sipping his tea.

"What? Kevin, you took care of the attacker!" Harry and Ron asked in surprise.

Kevin had no choice but to recount the attack to the others.

"So, these people have a grudge against you and are specifically targeting you?"

After listening to Kevin's description, Harry asked with a serious expression.

"Hmm, I used Legilimency to examine the memories of their leader. They received a letter requesting their services, but I couldn't see who made the request."

"But I guessed pretty much right. So far, the only powerful person I've ever offended is Lucius."

"It was him! Kevin, why don't you report him?" Harry asked indignantly.

"There's no evidence, huh?" Kevin shrugged.

"Am I the only one curious? What is Legilimency?" Ron asked tentatively.

"..."

"Ron, you really should read more books," Kevin sighed, and then explained the Legilimency spell.

But it's not his fault. He's only in second grade, and no one is introducing this thing to second-grade students.

"Don't worry, Kevin, Dumbledore takes this very seriously. Even if he can't catch Lucius, he'll at least give the entire underground market a good beating," Hagrid reassured Kevin. Hagrid himself was a frequent visitor to the underground market, buying all sorts of strange animals or materials.

The so-called underground market is similar to the black market or Knockturn Alley. Such shady things exist in every world, and no matter how much the Ministry of Magic tries to shut them down, it can never be completely eradicated.

Finally, the Ministry of Magic simply moved most of the black market into Knockturn Alley and established a public pseudo-black market, so that most of the black market merchants would be willing to settle here, instead of running around all over Europe and causing even more trouble. It would also be easier for them to manage.

Of course, those truly shady things still wouldn't dare to raid the alley, so there are still some shady underground black markets.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Hagrid went to open the door and found Draco, who was looking around as if to see if anyone had noticed him.

"Kevin, I'm so glad you're alright." Draco said as soon as he came in, finding Kevin.

"Don't get agitated, Draco. Sit down and have a cup of tea."

Draco calmed himself down a bit, then looked at Kevin and the others with a guilty conscience before finally making up his mind.

"Kevin, although I have no proof of the attack on the Hogwarts Express, I suspect it was probably my father who did it."

Draco's voice was low and serious, reflecting his inner turmoil and struggle.

His words were like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, creating ripples all around.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione all showed surprise, and even some anger. They wanted to immediately question Draco and get more explanation from him.

However, Kevin calmly waved his hand, indicating that they should not rush, as he understood Draco's inner struggle at that moment.

Choosing between friends and family is not an easy decision.

"Draco, don't worry about it. This is not something you can stop, and besides, you already warned me."

The three children then remembered that Draco had indeed reminded them when school started. They then calmed down and pondered Kevin's words. This matter was not Draco's fault, and he could not interfere with Lucius.

"But Draco, I want to ask you, through this incident, did you see in your father the glory of his so-called pure-blood family?"

"Or do you only see his stupidity, arrogance, selfishness, and incompetence?"

Kevin's tone suddenly changed. He stared intently at Draco, his fingers interlaced as if he were interrogating a criminal.

"I...."

Draco hesitated visibly, his body trembling slightly. This was indeed not the honor he believed a pure-blood family should have, but it was his father, who had taught him for over a decade, who had done all this...

"Draco Malfoy," Kevin called him by his full name very formally.

Draco also looked up, staring at Kevin with a bewildered expression.

"You are the next head of the Malfoy family. You should have your own thoughts and not be manipulated by your father. The honor of the Malfoy family, the honor of the purebloods, and even your honor..."

Kevin slowly stood up and walked towards Draco, speaking slowly as he did so, gradually putting pressure on Draco.

Finally, he walked up to Draco and looked down at him.

"These honors are not given at birth; you must earn them through struggle, resistance, and change!"

"That is the glory that belongs to you, to the purebloods, to the Malfoys!"

Kevin stared at Draco and said, word by word.

The three kids saw Snape's shadow in Kevin again; the sense of oppression was overwhelming...

Under Kevin's verbal onslaught, Draco began to tear up, clutching his head as if in rebellion, his heart filled with turmoil.

Were all of his father's teachings over the past ten years wrong?

But he really couldn't agree with what his father had done.

I am the next head of House Malfoy...

I should take control of my own destiny...

I will fight for the glory that belongs to me...

a long time.

"Kevin..."

"I know what I have to do... but I'm alone, I can't fight against the whole family..."

Draco finally stopped trembling and clutching his head, but he lowered his head and said in a low voice.

"Do you know why someone as powerful as Dumbledore, who could single-handedly suppress the strongest wizard in the entire wizarding world, was willing to condescend to be an ordinary school teacher?"

Kevin smiled, his gloomy demeanor dissipating, and patted Draco on the shoulder.

Why?

"Because education can teach children the right values, help them understand who they are, and prevent them from being confined by the closed nature of their families and becoming puppets generation after generation."

"Because here, you can meet many like-minded partners and gradually change this corrupt wizarding world."

"We are your partner Draco. You are not alone. We will help you fight against this corrupt family."

Okay, Kevin made all of this up.

Dumbledore didn't know why he wanted to be a teacher, but he just wanted to clear the mind of this confused child.

Harry and his friends were also inspired by Kevin's words, as if they had found the motivation and meaning to study.

They all stood up and came to Draco's side, indicating that they were on the same side.

Kids are so easy to please; just talk about bonds and dreams, and they get fired up.

But Hagrid, you're a fat man in your fifties, what's with you wiping away tears of emotion?
