Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 39: Eliminate all attackers

Boom! Boom!

In the middle of a green field, a train carriage exploded violently!

The entire carriage was blown to pieces, with countless fragments flying everywhere.

Kevin and Hermione were among those featured.

Kevin held Hermione tightly, but the violent explosion still knocked her unconscious, and Kevin struggled to stay conscious.

He had just temporarily cast several defensive spells, but they still couldn't stop the terrifying explosion.

The sheer force of the explosion shattered his defensive spells, and they were blasted away.

Kevin was protecting Hermione as they were about to land when a spell struck, shattering the new defensive spell Kevin had hastily set up.

Kevin, carrying Hermione, was blasted away again, but he immediately cast a spell in the direction from which the curse came, sending five explosive flames hurtling towards them.

Students in the nearby carriages had already run away, unafraid of harming innocent bystanders.

boom!

I don't know if he was hit by the explosion, but at least it held him off. Kevin landed safely, but he's also injured. Hermione is okay, just some minor cuts.

After calming down, Kevin first cast a protective spell on the surrounding area and then cast several defensive spells on Hermione.

He held a crowbar in one hand and a magic wand in the other, keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings.

He still doesn't know where he is when he was suddenly ambushed.

"Show yourself quickly!"

Kevin suddenly noticed something moving in the grass on his right, but couldn't see anyone, so he cast a revealing spell.

However, nothing appeared.

Suddenly, another unusual movement appeared on the left, and Kevin quickly revealed himself again.

Still, nothing was gained.

It seems that the other person was trying to exhaust him.

That being the case.

Thick smoke billowing out!

Kevin released thick smoke over a wide area centered on himself, obscuring visibility.

"Illusion Spell, Illusion Spell."

Kevin cast the Disillusionment Charm on Hermione and himself once each.

Then he picked up Hermione and dashed out of the thick smoke like a gust of wind.

Outside the thick smoke.

The attacker, who was also using the Disillusionment Charm, frowned; the thick smoke had made him lose sight of his target.

The next moment, he saw a gust of wind burst out from the thick smoke.

It was as if some invisible figure had broken through the fog.

"Fog and invisibility, trying to escape?"

The attacker sneered.

They chased after it in that direction.

"Show yourself quickly!"

A spell was cast in that direction.

But to everyone's surprise, they didn't find anyone.

"I've found you."

However, the next moment, a chilling voice rang out from behind.

boom!

Kevin gripped the crowbar and smashed it directly into an invisible mass of air.

Then a figure appeared, his waist smashed to pieces by this terrifying blow, and he was sent flying.

Kevin didn't actually emerge from the mist at all; he simply cast a Wind Spell to create the illusion that someone had broken through it.

"Ugh!!!"

With his waist broken, the final attacker was completely defenseless, crashing to the ground screaming in agony, his lower body no longer under his control.

However, Kevin was too lazy to torture him, and with a single, swift strike, he ended his life.

Hermione is more important now.

Kevin removed the illusion spell from the two of them, then carried Hermione back to the train.

The train was now broken in two. The students, terrified by the sudden terrorist attack, fled the scene of the explosion.

Kevin found a relatively intact carriage, carried Hermione into the compartment, and placed her on a chair.

He pulled out several bottles of potions from his bag: Bone Regeneration Elixir, Healing Potions, Recovery Potions, Mana Potions, and so on.

As soon as Hermione was given a bottle of recovery potion, she woke up.

"Hermione, you're awake. You're alright now. Here, drink these potions together."

Kevin said happily when he saw Hermione wake up.

"Kevin, I feel much better. I don't need to drink potions anymore."

Kevin was still worried and wanted Hermione to drink another bottle to help her recover faster, but Hermione said she wasn't seriously injured.

Hermione asked some more questions about the final explosion, and Kevin explained that there was a sneaky guy hiding and ambushing them when they were off guard.

However, the problem has been solved. Now the train is stuck and we can only wait for Hogwarts to come to our rescue.

After confirming that Hermione was alright, Kevin stepped off the train again, leaped onto the roof, and used the Amplification Charm.

"Hogwarts students! The attackers have been dealt with! Please gather here and await Hogwarts' rescue!"

Kevin's voice spread out with the spell, repeating three times.

At the front and rear of the train, all the students on the train were gathered. The train's security personnel were at the front of the students. They could not leave the students to check the situation for fear of being suddenly attacked. They could only wait for Hogwarts' support to arrive.

Then Kevin's voice came through.

The students were initially excited, but some immediately questioned whether the voice was a disguised attacker.

The security guards, who were responsible for protecting the students, discussed the matter and decided to send one of them to investigate the situation.

While the students were discussing, Kevin led Hermione away from the train and waited outside, also collecting the bodies of the attackers.

Kevin was too lazy to find the first five flying ones because they were too far away, so he put the other six together.

The leader who was on the verge of death also met his end in the final explosion, leaving only a few limbs.

Anyway, there's not much information left.

Before long, he noticed people coming out from both directions of the train to investigate the situation.

They shouted loudly to them, informing them that all the attackers had been killed and that they should bring their students to gather here.

Only then did they realize the situation and go back to gather the remaining students.

After all the students gathered, including the people on the train, there were only about a hundred people.

Some of the people who were initially close to the center of the explosion sustained minor injuries, as did some of those who initially resisted the attackers.

Kevin then gave them all some potions to help them recover and prevent their wounds from worsening.

"Kevin, are these all the attackers?" The train conductor approached Kevin and asked, looking at the six corpses on the ground.

"No, there are five more people in the direction the train came from, but they're a bit far away, and I'm too lazy to look for them."

Kevin shook his head.

"No survivors? The Ministry of Magic will definitely investigate afterward. How dare they attack the Hogwarts Express? That's the most unforgivable thing in the wizarding world."

"It's a matter of life and death, of course I won't hold back."

"However, I used Legilimency on one of their leaders before he died. They were only there on orders, and they even had a backup plan."

"I see..."

Some of the students recognized Kevin, but they didn't dare to approach him. They all looked around in panic, while some of the older students remained calm.

Finally, the Hogwarts people arrived.

Only 15 minutes have passed since the attack.

The speed is actually quite fast.

But if Kevin hadn't been so skilled, the first fire spell would have wiped him and Hermione out.

If that's the case, by the time reinforcements arrive, the attackers will have already run far away.

"Kevin."

A familiar voice rang out; it was Professor Snape.

"Professor Snape, it's you here." Kevin stepped forward.

"Dumbledore is here too, but he's gone to investigate the attackers."

"Weren't all the attackers dead?"

"There's no mastermind behind it, and no trace of their hideout," Snape said expressionlessly, looking at the six corpses on the ground.

They arrived too late; the attackers had all been killed in the counterattack...

"There are five more bodies over there; look around and you should find them."

"Tell us the whole story. Dumbledore won't let this attack on the Hogwarts Express go unpunished, and the Ministry of Magic will deal with it severely under his orders."

Kevin started by talking about the five people who flew into the sky, and then moved on to the big explosion at the end.

The story also mentions gathering the students and distributing potions.

"Hmph, it seems you've caused quite a bit of trouble, which is why someone hired a servant specifically to kill you. In the end, it's all your fault."

Snape continued to be sarcastic towards Kevin.

"I'm a victim too, how can you say that?"

Kevin retorted with dissatisfaction.

Soon, the Ministry of Magic arrived, and another tedious interrogation ensued. They also located the five attackers in the direction the train had come from, and remarkably, two of them survived...

Using the word "survivor" to describe an attacker feels a bit odd.

They quickly passed Legilimency, confirming their identities, and then launched a further investigation.

By the time I finished, it was already dark.

Kevin and Hermione, as key personnel, were only allowed to leave now.

"Kevin, aren't Mom and Dad worried? We're so late and we haven't gotten home yet."

"It's alright. Hogwarts sent a letter to every parent saying that the train had a temporary malfunction and couldn't get the students to school on time," Kevin reassured Hermione, something Snape had just told him.

"That's good... Kevin, do you think it might be...?"

Hermione wondered if Lucius had sent someone.

"I think it's pretty close, after all, this is the only person I've ever offended." Kevin nodded.

"Then let's talk to Harry and Ron and tell them to be careful too."

"Don't worry, they're at Hogwarts, much safer than us."

"Um..."

The two little ones snuggled together, now back in their carriage, waiting for the train to be magically repaired and take them home again.

This was Hermione's first time experiencing such an attack, and she was a little panicked. This was different from the adventures at Hogwarts; this was a real terrorist attack that could happen at any moment, right here in the Muggle world, in their little home.

"It's alright, Hermione. Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic will definitely give us an explanation. Putting everything else aside, Professor Dumbledore would never allow anyone to attack his students; that's his bottom line."

Kevin stroked Hermione's head, trying to calm her down.

Hermione nodded in agreement, leaned against Kevin's chest, and gradually became sleepy, eventually falling into a deep sleep.
