Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 32 Mudblood, the First Victim
Life at the academy continued, and Kevin would go to Professor Snape to practice spells whenever he had time, but he had only gone a few times recently due to the heavy workload.
Harry, as the Seeker in Quidditch, often trained with Wood and the others.
Their training became even more rigorous this year, which exhausted Harry.
As Gryffindor's number one rival, Slytherin's Quidditch training often clashed with Harry and his friends.
"Hey Flint, where are you guys going?"
During today's training, Gryffindor encountered the Slytherin snakes, and Wood asked them what they wanted to do.
Quidditch pitch.
"But we've already booked the entire course in Gryffindor today, so you can't go," Wood said.
"We have permission." Flint produced a permission certificate.
It says that Headmaster Snape has permitted Slytherin to use the Quidditch pitch to train new Seekers.
Slytherin's new Seeker is Draco.
Draco stepped out of the group, giving Harry a defiant eyebrow raise.
Harry rolled his eyes, speechless. "Draco, it's you again..."
Kevin, Hermione, and Ron happened to be nearby, so they came over to join in the fun.
"Heh, Scarface, my dad equipped each of us in the team with a Nimbus 2001. You Gryffindors shouldn't waste your time training; just surrender when the time comes." Draco waved his flying broomstick and smiled confidently at the Gryffindor team.
"Quidditch isn't something you can win just by having good equipment. At least Gryffindor's skills are much better than yours."
Hermione, who was watching, was clearly unconvinced and refuted Draco.
Draco smiled, as if he wanted to say something, but Flint beat him to it.
"This is none of your business, you filthy mud-blood!"
Flynn bared his large buck teeth and hurled vicious insults at Hermione.
Draco, standing to the side, was instantly terrified, his face contorted in shock. He took several steps back. Dude, how dare you insult Hermione in front of Kevin?
The next second, Kevin's fist slammed directly into Flint's abdomen.
"Bang!"
A loud bang.
Flint was sent flying more than ten meters away, crashing into a wall, spitting blood, his fate unknown.
A group of Slytherin snakes gasped in surprise, never expecting that someone would dare to openly attack a classmate at Hogwarts.
They were so frightened that they retreated repeatedly, and no one dared to check on Flint's condition.
Kevin fixed his gaze on them, instantly sending a chill down the spines of the small snakes.
Kevin pointed at Hermione: "Go, apologize to Hermione on behalf of your captain."
While the other snakes were still in shock and uncertainty, Draco slid in front of Hermione and shouted, "I'm sorry!"
Sensing Kevin's dangerous gaze, the other snakes immediately followed suit, sliding over and shouting in unison, "Sorry!"
Hermione, who was initially teary-eyed, couldn't help but laugh when she saw this scene.
Kevin patted her head, then said coldly to the snakes, "If I ever hear anyone disrespect Hermione again, your captain will be in trouble. Now you can get out of here. The Quidditch pitch is all Gryffindor's tonight!"
Draco led the way and ran away, followed by the rest of the group, leaving only Flint, whose fate was unknown, lying there.
Hermione hugged Kevin and buried her head in his chest.
Harry Ron and the Quidditch players gathered around, praising Kevin for his excellent performance.
However, Wood warned Kevin to be careful, as the little snakes would definitely go to Snape to complain.
Then they laughed and said not to disturb the young couple, and left with their people.
Ron followed Harry to watch their training, as he also wanted to join Quidditch in the future.
Hermione has Kevin, that's enough.
Hermione heard the teasing too, blushed, but still refused to let go of Kevin.
Before long, Professor Snape arrived after hearing the news.
The Quidditch player found him and said he'd been beaten up by a Gryffindor player there.
When Snape arrived, he saw Kevin holding a distressed Hermione, and a Slytherin lying dead nearby.
If Kevin did it, then it's not surprising.
Based on his understanding of Kevin, it must have been someone from Slytherin who made Hermione cry and was then reprimanded by Kevin.
However, attacking classmates is still a serious violation, and in severe cases, it can even lead to expulsion.
"Mr. Kevin, I think you need to explain the situation here to me."
Snape walked in, ruthlessly ruining the atmosphere between the two.
Hermione was startled and quickly got out of Kevin's arms, trying to appear calm as she looked around, but she didn't dare to look at anyone.
"Professor Snape, there's no explanation needed, I'm the one who hit him."
Kevin stood with his hands on his hips in front of Hermione, not afraid of Snape at all, and said loudly.
"Mr. Kevin, I think you will face very severe punishment if you don't have a proper reason."
Snape stared at Kevin and spoke in a low voice, as if warning him, or perhaps reminding him.
"He was rude; he called Hermione a Mudblood!"
!!!
Snape suddenly caught his breath, his eyes widening slightly, as if he had been pulled into some memory.
After a long while, Snape took a deep breath, turned around and left, waving his wand as he did so.
Flint, who was lying dead against the wall, was lifted by the collar by an invisible hand and dragged away like a dead dog.
Kevin was also puzzled; Professor Snape's reaction seemed a bit excessive.
This was the first time he had ever seen Snape so out of control.
Never mind, I'll ignore that for now.
Kevin turned around, patted Hermione's head, and reassured her, "Hermione, don't pay attention to what those lousy people say. You are definitely the best little wizard at Hogwarts, and the so-called bloodline theory is utter nonsense. Only pet cats and dogs talk about bloodlines."
Hermione snuggled into Kevin's arms again. Actually, she wasn't upset anymore. Spending so much time with Kevin had made her less concerned about what others thought.
She just wanted to take the opportunity to enjoy Kevin's embrace a little longer.
Then, Hermione stayed with Kevin all day, and the two of them spent the day lying on the lawn by the Black Lake, enjoying the scenery.
They didn't return to the castle until evening.
They had just returned to the castle when they saw Harry walking hurriedly along the wall, as if he were chasing something.
Ron, who was also confused, followed behind.
"Harry, Ron, what are you doing?" Kevin called out.
Harry saw Kevin and rushed over.
"Kevin, did you hear a voice? That voice said it wanted to kill someone."
Harry looked anxious. He had just spoken to Ron, but Ron said he hadn't heard him.
Kevin frowned. Had the basilisk been released so quickly?
"Sorry Harry, I didn't hear you, but I think we should follow them and see what's going on. You lead the way."
Harry nodded and immediately led the way, running in the direction of the strange sounds.
Kevin and the other two followed.
They soon arrived at a long corridor filled with puddles.
They first noticed a neat row of spiders crawling out of the window on the ground.
Then they discovered that someone had written words in blood on the wall.
"The secret chamber has been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware!"
The group frowned, and Harry noticed a cat hanging on the wall lamp next to the blood-written letter.
"It's Mrs. Lorris, Filch's cat."
For some reason, the corridor, which had been empty, suddenly became a large group of students walking together, as if someone had specifically guided them.
They all saw Harry standing next to Mrs. Lorris.
"Potter! You killed my cat!" Filch arrived and, seeing the scene, grabbed Harry by the collar without asking any questions. "I'm going to kill you!"
However, Kevin grabbed his hand: "Let go!"
Kevin looked directly at Filch and said in a deep voice.
"Filch! Kevin!"
Just as the two were facing off, Dumbledore's voice rang out.
He stepped out from among the students and stopped Kevin and Filch from fighting.
Dumbledore looked at the words on the wall, paused for a moment, and said, "All students, return to your dormitories now and do not come out."
"Except for the four of you."
Dumbledore pointed at Kevin and the other three.
"Both of you let go. She's not dead, Filch. She's just petrified."
Filch then loosened Harry's collar, and Kevin also released Filch's hand.
"Does anyone know what happened?" Dumbledore asked the four children.
Perhaps Kevin's intervention exacerbated the conflict, leading to a somewhat serious atmosphere, and Lockhart didn't dare to step forward and act silly.
"He did it, and he wrote the bloody words on the wall too." Filch pointed directly at Harry, because Harry was standing next to Mrs. Lorris at the time.
"Which eye of yours saw Harry do it? Was it a pimp?"
Kevin retorted without hesitation, "You, Filch, are being unreasonable, so I won't be polite to you either."
"Kevin! Watch your language!" Professor McGonagall immediately and sternly reprimanded Kevin. How could her lovely student utter such vulgar words?
Kevin obediently shut up.
"I didn't do it, Headmaster, I swear, I didn't even touch Mrs. Lorris," Harry said, pulling Kevin aside to explain.
"Nonsense!" Filch relentlessly attacked Harry, whose beloved Mrs. Lorris had been petrified and who was now biting almost anyone he saw.
Before Kevin could say anything more, Professor McGonagall stopped him, saying, "Kevin, don't say anything yet. Leave this to us."
Kevin had no choice but to shut up; he didn't want to argue with Professor McGonagall, but he still glared at Filch.
"In my opinion, Principal, Potter and his friends may have just happened to be here."
Surprisingly, Snape spoke up for Harry.
Since Harry and Ron didn't cause any trouble in the flying car like in the movies, they weren't punished by having to write a reply for Lockhart. Harry and Ron went out for dinner as usual that evening, and Snape didn't say anything more.
Kevin and Hermione were spending time together by the Black Lake, something Snape knew about.
Therefore, they all have alibis.
"We just happened to be passing by on our way back to the common room." Harry didn't say why he came after hearing some noise.
"They are innocent until proven guilty," Dumbledore declared.
"But my cat has been petrified! I want to see someone punished!" Filch said angrily.
"What do we care if your cat gets petrified?" Kevin said dismissively.
"Kevin!" Professor McGonagall stopped Kevin for the third time.
Dumbledore looked at the two men with a helpless expression. One had lost his mind because of the cat's death, and the other had been talking back because his friend had been wronged.
"Kevin, I remember you seemed to have made quite a few Mandrake Restorative Potions last semester?" Snape suddenly asked Kevin.
Filch immediately stared at him.
Kevin simply replied, "I'm sold out."
Filch was so angry he wanted to bite his teeth.
He felt that Kevin said that on purpose.
Hey, you guessed right!
"Filch, don't worry, Mrs. Sprout has cultivated very healthy mandrakes, which will mature in a while and be ready to be used to make a restorative potion," Dumbledore continued.
Filch finally calmed down and took his cat to Mrs. Pomfrey, the school nurse in the infirmary.
"During this period, I need everyone to act cautiously and be extremely careful, remember that?"
The three little ones nodded.
Then the professors dispersed.
However, Snape didn't leave. After all the other professors had left, he reached out his hand to Kevin, glared at him, and the meaning was self-evident.
Kevin had no choice but to obediently take out five bottles of Mandrake Restorative Potion.
"That's all, I have a few bottles left for backup." With that, Kevin grabbed the three kids and ran off.
Snape was left to clean up the scene...
