Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 33 Clues to the Locked Room, The Second Victim

"Kevin, you have recovery potions, why are you deliberately not taking them out?"

On the way back to the lounge with the four kids, Ron asked.

"Why bring it out when Filch's attitude is so annoying? The academy will make it eventually anyway."

"No, I mean you're so cool."

Very familiar line.

"Alright, you two, there's something more important now. Harry, you can hear things we can't, and then Mrs. Lorris gets petrified. That's not a good thing."

"Could this be what Dobby was saying, that a terrible conspiracy has begun?"

"That's what the matriarch Hermione said."

"Should we tell Dumbledore that I can hear strange noises?" Harry asked.

"I think it's better not to," Hermione shook her head.

"I think it's a good idea. Maybe Dumbledore can offer us some help," Kevin said.

"But we don't know what effect this will have on Harry." Hermione still disagreed with the plan.

Kevin, with his God-like perspective, thought everything was fine; it was just that Parsley's affair had been exposed. But Hermione didn't think so.

He couldn't say anything more, so he could only let the story unfold.

......

Several days passed like this.

Today was Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class, and she glared at Kevin as soon as she walked in.

She was clearly still angry about Kevin's previous impolite language and defiant behavior.

Kevin could only nod and agree, not daring to say a word.

"Alright, students, today we're going to learn how to turn animals into goblets."

Professor McGonagall began her lecture, transforming a bird on the podium into a wine glass.

Then I explained the incantation and the points to note, and then let everyone start practicing.

Those with pets can use their own pets to learn; those without can use the birds provided by the academy.

Ron transformed his spotted mouse into a feathered goblet with a tail.

"Kevin, why don't you give it a try?" Professor McGonagall said to Kevin again.

Kevin immediately used Ron's Scabbard spell: "Feraeldu".

A perfect stemmed glass was formed, but two small bells still hung at the bottom, which Kevin had deliberately left.

The young wizards laughed.

Professor McGonagall reached out and gently patted the mischievous Kevin.

Actually, she wasn't angry. On the contrary, seeing Kevin, who used to be overly polite and sensible, now making friends and joking around with them, Professor McGonagall was quite happy for him.

Kevin smiled and reached out to flick Banban's little bell hard again.

The wine glass emitted a mouse-like scream.

Ron quickly took Scabbers back to prevent Kevin from causing any more trouble.

Hermione patted Kevin on the shoulder, as if to say, "Are you still fooling around at a time like this?" Then she held out her hand and asked, "Professor McGonagall, could you tell us about the Chamber of Secrets?"

Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, noticing that the students below were all staring at her intently, seemingly expecting the same thing.

"All right."

In the end, Professor McGonagall agreed; the students had the right to know.

Professor McGonagall then told the young wizard about the history of the Chamber of Secrets.

Simply put, Hogwarts, a thousand years old, was founded by four individuals, who are now the names of the four houses.

Another founder, Slytherin, later disagreed with the other founders on his beliefs. He felt that only pure-bloods could enter Hogwarts to learn magic, but the others did not agree, so he left Hogwarts on his own.

Legend has it that Slytherin built a Chamber of Secrets at Hogwarts, where a terrible monster was imprisoned. When Slytherin left the school, he sealed the Chamber, which could only be reopened by his successor to release the monster and kill all wizards of impure blood.

However, the school searched the area multiple times but could not find it.

The young wizards all looked worried, except for the pure-blooded Slytherin.

After class, Kevin gathered the three kids together, and they discussed the authenticity of the secret room and who the heir would be.

"Kevin, do you have any clue?" Harry asked.

"I don't have it, but someone else does."

Kevin led the group to the outside of the castle, where there were no other students.

He pointed to Draco, who was walking out of the castle and heading towards them.

"Kevin, you know I can't get too close to you guys, why did you call me here?"

Draco asked hurriedly.

"Draco, how much do you know about the Chamber of Secrets?" Kevin asked Draco directly.

Given their relationship, there's no need to use the transformation potion to try and extract information from them.

"How do you think I know?" Draco was bewildered.

"Your family has been Slytherin for hundreds of years, don't you have any prior knowledge of this?"

"...Okay, don't tell anyone I told you. My dad said that fifty years ago, the Chamber of Secrets at Hogwarts was opened, but he wouldn't say who opened it, only that those people were expelled."

"And during that opening, a... uh... Muggle-born wizard was killed..."

When Draco said this, he was a little scared, afraid that he might accidentally step on Hermione's landmine.

Hermione was silent for a moment, but Kevin patted her head to comfort her.

"Any further news?"

"That's all. Don't tell anyone I told you. I'm leaving."

Draco finished speaking and ran away without looking back.

"Well, the good news is we've got the intelligence; the bad news is, the intelligence is true."

Kevin looked at the three silent kids and wanted to liven things up.

However, he clearly failed.

The three of them stared at Kevin speechlessly, finding nothing funny about it.

A moment of being a social butterfly can lead to a lifetime of social anxiety.

Kevin could only cower submissively next to Hermione, who then had to pat Kevin's head in return.

The rest of the group didn't figure anything out either, still lacking some crucial clues.

Kevin could actually just ask the weeping Myrtle, but he hasn't gotten enough clues yet. Taking them there rashly would only make them wonder how Kevin knew all this.

Therefore, Kevin chose to let the plot continue to unfold.

However, from now on, he will have to stay with Hermione at all times.

For a while after that, Kevin clung to Hermione every day, and Hermione assumed that Kevin was just worried about her and that's why he kept following her.

She was also happy to spend time with Kevin.

Snape knew Kevin was protecting Hermione, and didn't ask him to learn spells.

It's finally time for another Quidditch match.

Kevin had prepared the Bone Spirit beforehand, Harry, you can fly with confidence!

The score was 30 points for Gryffindor and 90 points for Slytherin.

They were far behind in the score.

Snape, standing in the stands, rarely showed a smug smile.

Then one of the bouncy balls suddenly went berserk and rammed into Harry.

Harry darted around the field, shaking off the ball.

At the same time, the Golden Snitch was also discovered.

Draco noticed it too, and the two of them chased after it together, with the Wandering Ball close behind.

After a fierce chase, Draco crashed into a wooden frame and fell because of the moving ball. It looked like it hurt quite a bit. I'll give him a healing potion later.

Harry's right hand was also broken by the bouncing ball, but he still managed to catch the Golden Snitch.

Gryffindor wins!

Harry fell onto the sand, but the Blink ball continued to attack him relentlessly.

Kevin had already arrived off the stage. He leaped forward and grabbed the rampaging ball!

He suppressed the ball with one hand, and no matter how much the ball moved around, it couldn't break free.

Dobby, hidden in the shadows, was shocked. How could this wizard be so strong? No matter how much magic he used to control the bouncy ball, he couldn't break free from Kevin's iron grip.

Kevin pinned the ball down with one hand and came to Harry's side.

Professor Lockhart also rushed over, wanting to quickly cast a spell on Harry, but was stopped by Kevin.

He took out a bottle of bone-regenerating water and a recovery potion, and made Harry drink them.

Harry's right hand stopped hurting immediately.

However, Madam Pomfrey insisted that Harry should spend the night in the infirmary.

After struggling for a while without being able to break free, the ball stopped moving around.

When they arrived at the infirmary, Draco was already screaming and yelling inside, and Kevin gave him a bottle of recovery potion.

It's not like we treated him unfairly.

Afterwards, everyone was asked to leave by Mrs. Pomfrey so as not to disturb the patient's rest.

until late at night.

Harry heard the strange sound again, and when he woke up, he found Dobby beside him.

"Hello, Harry Potter."

"Dobby?"

"Harry Potter, you shouldn't have come to Hogwarts."

Then Dobby spilled the beans again, revealing that he controlled the ball.

This really angered Harry.

However, Dobby also said that he burned his fingers with an iron as punishment, and after another pitiful account of his experience, kind-hearted Harry forgave him.

Dobby continued to warn Harry to leave Hogwarts immediately, warning that history was about to repeat itself.

Harry wanted to ask what had happened in the past, but someone came, Dobby snapped his fingers and disappeared, so Harry had no choice but to lie back down on the bed and pretend to be asleep.

Dumbledore and several professors entered, carrying the second victim, the young reporter Colin.

As expected, getting to know the main characters is never a good thing.

Dumbledore took Colin's camera, opened it, and immediately destroyed it.

He could only say it softly:

"Hogwarts is no longer safe; the Chamber of Secrets has been fully opened."
