Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 13 Visiting Hagrid's Hut
After the match, the four children left with Hagrid.
On the way, the group told Hagrid about Snape's spell, and Hagrid said it was impossible.
"Nonsense, why would Snape cast a spell on Harry's broom?" Hagrid categorically denied their claims.
Harry countered by asking why Snape went to Cerberus on Halloween Eve.
"How do you know about Momo?" Hagrid asked, surprised.
"Momo? That monster even has a name?" Ron asked incredulously.
"Of course, he's my pet. I bought him from an Irishman at a pub last year."
"Later, he lent it to Dumbledore to keep watch..." Hagrid stopped abruptly, not continuing.
"What are you guarding?"
"I can't say. Don't ask anymore. Don't ask any more questions! This is top secret," Hagrid said to the children, unusually fiercely.
"Whatever it is, Snape wanted to steal it anyway." Harry seized on the key point again, smearing Snape.
"Impossible," Hagrid said firmly. "Snape is a teacher at Hogwarts; he would never betray the school."
Hermione watched Kevin, who had been watching the whole thing, without making a single move to speak up for Snape.
Then she couldn't help but ask curiously, "Then why did Snape cast a spell on Harry? I read in the book that you have to keep your eyes fixed on the other person when casting a spell, and Snape was indeed staring intently at Harry without blinking."
Hagrid took a deep breath, clearly losing patience.
Pointing at the group, he shouted, "Listen to me! You're meddling in things you shouldn't be doing, and that's dangerous!"
"What that dog guards, Snape also protects!"
"And what they guarded and protected together belonged to Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel."
Harry found the keyword: "Who is Nicolas Flamel?"
Hagrid covered his mouth, realizing he had let something slip.
They left in a hurry.
The remaining people exchanged puzzled glances.
"Where's Kevin?"
When Hermione and the others made eye contact, she suddenly realized that the person she wanted to see wasn't there, and asked in confusion.
"Is that the one following Hagrid...?" Ron pointed in Hagrid's direction.
The group looked in the direction Hagrid had left, only to see Kevin, who had somehow run off, following closely behind Hagrid.
"What does he want to do?"
"Let's sneak up and follow them." Hermione took the lead, following them from a distance until they reached Hagrid's hut.
Meanwhile, Kevin followed Hagrid and naturally blended into Hagrid's cabin.
When Hagrid closed the door and turned around, he found Kevin standing inside Hagrid's room, examining Hagrid's collection.
"Kevin? How did you get in? Oh no, that's not important. Get out of here right now. I don't want to see you."
Hagrid was taken aback and wanted to kick Kevin out. He had just been quite angry with the three little ones and was afraid of accidentally letting something slip.
"Uncle Hagrid, why don't you buy me a cup of hot tea first? This weather is getting colder and colder."
Kevin had no intention of leaving and shamelessly wanted to stay.
Hagrid seemed about to lash out, but then he thought about it and realized that it had been the three little ones chattering the whole time, while Kevin had been quiet. So there didn't seem to be any need to kick them out.
After all, Hagrid is still very gentle.
Finally, he could only sigh and beckon Kevin to sit down so he could make him some hot tea.
Among the group peeking through the window outside, Hermione said indignantly, "Why is Kevin always able to please the adults?"
Harry and Ron said they wanted to know too.
Hagrid quickly brewed some hot tea, brought it to Kevin, and took a cup for himself as well.
The two, one older and one younger, sat leisurely by the warm fireplace, sipping tea in a very harmonious atmosphere.
The people outside shivered in the cold wind, and Hermione was so angry she was grinding her teeth.
It's like your girlfriend is dieting and you're showing off a huge barbecue in the middle of the night.
"Uncle Hagrid, I think you're absolutely right! Those guys are really too mischievous, always meddling in things they shouldn't be meddling in."
"Oh, that's right, I'm so happy you think that way." Hagrid was very pleased that the little wizard was so sensible, and his goodwill towards him increased greatly.
"That's just how it is. If the sky falls, someone taller will hold it up. They just love to worry about things that aren't their business."
"Yes, yes, they just need to study hard." Hagrid wholeheartedly agreed.
"If it were me, I would definitely study hard and improve my skills to the same level as the professors as soon as possible, so that I could naturally learn what I should know."
Kevin spoke with great emotion, and even glanced at the people peeping outside, his sly look seeming to say, "This is for you to hear."
The men outside gritted their teeth. Kevin was deliberately smearing them to elevate himself! They were sure they would teach Kevin a lesson when he came out.
"Oh Merlin's underwear, Kevin, you're the most sensible kid I've ever met." Hagrid looked at Kevin with great joy, like finding a considerate good student among a group of bad students, feeling instantly gratified.
"Haha, not at all, I'm just good at judging situations. Oh, Uncle Hagrid, your hot tea is delicious."
"If you like, drink more, I'll make you more."
Hagrid is absolutely smitten with Kevin now; the kid is such a smooth talker.
Kevin perfectly embodies the meaning of being cunning and manipulative, putting down one while praising another. If he were to become a traitor like Cao Cao, he would definitely be very successful.
"By the way, Uncle Hagrid, I have a question. I'm not bragging, but I've read almost every book in the Hogwarts library, and I've tried so hard to learn about the wizarding world, yet I've never heard of Nicolas Flamel before..."
Kevin and Hagrid were having a pleasant conversation when Kevin suddenly blurted out his question, using a dejected tone to portray himself as a lost and frustrated sheep.
"Oh Kevin, it's not your fault. You're only a freshman, it's normal that you don't know Nico."
"He was a great alchemist, but he retired to the countryside a hundred years ago. There has been no news of him in the wizarding world for a long time, and many people have never heard of his name."
"Is that amazing!" Kevin quickly interrupted Hagrid, just in case Hagrid realized he had let something slip.
"Of course, even Dumbledore rarely sees him."
"Thank you, Uncle Hagrid, you're so kind!" Kevin smiled sweetly like a good boy.
"Hehehe, not at all."
Looking at Kevin's adorable smile, Hagrid became unusually shy, as it seemed that few people praised him so directly.
Harry and Ron, standing outside, stared at each other in disbelief, looking as if they'd seen a ghost.
They couldn't understand how Kevin managed to subtly elicit information from Hagrid without him noticing, and he continued to laugh and chat with Kevin.
Hermione stared intently at Kevin's smiling face; she was realizing for the first time how adorable Kevin could be...
Inside the house, Kevin continued to chat happily with Hagrid, even discussing his orphanhood, which drew Hagrid's sympathy and care.
Kevin genuinely wanted to talk, not just to put on a show.
He felt sorry for taking advantage of Hagrid's gentleness and kindness. He had wanted to get along with Hagrid from the beginning, and the conversation was just a side effect to try and speed up the plot.
So aside from the platitudes, Kevin was genuinely talking to everyone else.
He told himself that he would make it up to Hagrid in other ways in the future.
It got dark quickly, and Hagrid asked Kevin to stay for dinner, which Kevin readily agreed to.
He had actually heard a little about Hagrid's cooking skills, but he stayed not only out of apology, but more because Kevin was a stubborn fool.
It's like when you played CS in your past life, and your teammate died in the middle lane saying there was a sniper there, but you still didn't believe it and went to check it out.
So Kevin took the day off the next day.
His weak stomach couldn't handle Hagrid's food...
