Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 11 Two or Three Things I Had to Tell About the Troll
"A troll! There's a troll in the underground classroom!"
Professor Quirrell burst in, shouting in terror.
He finally said "Do you understand?" and then collapsed to the ground.
The hall fell silent for a moment, then the young wizards screamed in terror, and everyone tried to flee.
"quiet!"
A voice, seemingly enchanted, rang out.
Dumbledore stepped in and stabilized the situation.
"Now, the prefects will lead their students back to the common room, while the teachers will come with me to the basement."
With the clear and steady instructions given, the young wizards seemed to find their anchor, calmed down, and quickly evacuated with their prefect.
On the way back, Harry stopped Ron: "Ron, we have to go tell Hermione and Kevin! They don't know about the trolls yet."
Ron nodded in agreement and quietly left the group with Harry, heading towards the underground women's lavatory.
......
coming.
Kevin, who was outside the washroom, looked up and felt the floor tremble, as if some huge thing was walking towards him step by step.
At the end of the corridor, a huge shadow appeared.
Accompanied by a heavy breathing sound.
A wooden stick bigger than Kevin himself appeared first.
Immediately afterwards, the giant monster that almost filled the entire corridor appeared at the end of the corridor.
Kevin slowly stood up and took out his wand.
The human and the monster faced each other at a distance for a few seconds before moving together.
"Sand and stones flying everywhere!"
Kevin waved his wand and pointed it at the troll.
As Kevin waved his wand, countless sand and gravel appeared out of thin air.
A whirlwind created a small sandstorm that obscured visibility and covered the entire corridor.
These sandstorms obviously couldn't harm the giants, but they could make them unable to open their eyes because of the blowing sand.
Although trolls are clumsy and slow, they are naturally highly resistant to magic. With Kevin's current power, many attack spells are ineffective against trolls.
He had no choice but to use this magic that interfered with the giant to buy time.
He didn't expect Harry and Ron to be able to completely save the day, but Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall would definitely come!
The giant was temporarily blocked by the yellow sand and gravel, and could only wildly swing its huge wooden club in a helpless rage.
"Stand still!"
Kevin waved his wand again, hoping to restrain the troll a little more.
The troll's foot only paused slightly, as if it had tripped, and then it was no longer affected.
Soon, the troll adapted to the yellow sand and once again took huge steps, slowly walking towards Kevin.
The sense of oppression is overwhelming.
Just then, the door to the bathroom behind Kevin was suddenly pushed open.
"Kevin! What's going on?!"
Hermione had almost finished crying and was about to come out when she heard Kevin casting a spell outside.
Pushing open the door, I saw Kevin standing alone in the middle of the corridor, at the end of which was a cloud of flying yellow sand and gravel.
The key point is that in the yellow sand, Hermione saw a huge figure waving a wooden stick.
"Don't be afraid, Hermione. It's a troll. The professors will be here to help soon."
Kevin's tone was calm and composed, which gave Hermione a sense of security amidst her confusion.
"Now, you'd better go back to the bathroom and hide!"
Kevin didn't turn around, because the giant in front of him, accompanied by a roar, had already charged out of the flying sand and stones.
"The force is released!"
Kevin cast another Weakening Spell, but the troll only staggered slightly before continuing to stride forward, still holding its wooden stick.
It was enraged by the little radish in front of it!
"Feathers flutter! High-speed movement! Immense strength!" Kevin cast three buffs on himself with a backhand. Defensive spells like the Ironclad Charm were meaningless in front of the giant.
Magic time is over, now it's physical time!
Before Hermione could say anything, Kevin charged toward the troll like a gust of wind.
The troll's stupid brain couldn't understand how this little radish dared to rush over; all it knew was to smash the wooden stick it had raised at Kevin.
With a loud crash, the floorboards cracked.
Hermione screamed, covered her mouth, and looked fearfully towards Kevin's location.
Kevin, like a nimble elf, leaped up and dodged the giant's attack.
Using the momentum, Kevin leaped off the troll's shoulder.
Before the troll could react, Kevin used his wand as a dagger, piercing it directly into the troll's bell-like eyeball. He then landed on the ground behind the troll.
"roar!!"
Green blood gushed from the troll's eye sockets, and Kevin's wand was pulled out and crushed by the troll.
The giant roared and turned around, swinging its wooden club at Kevin.
However, Kevin, who had anticipated this, retreated to avoid it.
"Yugadim, Leviosa!"
A spell came from behind Kevin, and the troll's wooden stick suddenly flew out of his hand.
Ron and Harry have arrived.
"Kevin! Run!" Harry shouted anxiously.
"No! Hermione's on the other side, she'll lure the troll this way!" Kevin didn't run away immediately! Instead, he stood not far from the troll and shouted loudly.
However, Kevin's worries were unnecessary; the trolls' hatred was already focused on him alone.
The wooden stick in his hand disappeared, and the troll stretched out two huge hands to grab Kevin.
Although the wand was broken, the spell buff on Kevin was still there. He retreated little by little, dodging the troll's grasping hands as it swung its palms. If he made the slightest mistake, he would be done for.
Then Ron remembered the wooden stick floating above, released his magic, and smashed the heavy stick directly onto the troll's head.
However, the troll was already enraged by the pain, and this blow did not knock it unconscious.
"Back off!"
Kevin and the troll were slowly closing in on Harry and Ron; if they didn't retreat soon, they would be caught in the crossfire.
He had no time to pay attention to Harry and Ron, and could only shout to warn them, because the troll's grab was getting faster and faster, or perhaps Kevin was getting slower and slower.
Damn it, I should have known that spells don't work on trolls; I should have prepared some physical weapons.
Kevin thought to himself, but his attention remained highly focused, afraid of being caught.
Hermione on the other end was also extremely anxious, but she didn't know what to do.
"The Divine Blade is Without a Shadow!"
At that moment, a deep and powerful voice rang out.
Suddenly, several huge gashes were torn open in multiple places on the giant's neck, arms, and thighs!
Green blood splattered again, and the giant, severely injured in the leg, staggered and collapsed to the ground.
It also emitted bursts of howling and whimpering.
"Professor Snape!"
Harry and Ron were pleasantly surprised to see Snape arrive, followed by Professor McGonagall and Professor Quirrell.
Professor McGonagall strode over, shielding the group behind her, and warily eyeing the giant creature lying on the ground, barely alive.
Kevin finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the professors arrive.
"Hermione's over there..."
After saying that, Kevin lay down immediately, and Harry and Ron quickly came to his side and lifted Kevin's head.
After confirming that the troll posed no threat, Professor McGonagall quickly went to fetch Hermione.
The three children surrounded Kevin, asking him about his condition with concern.
Hermione's eyes were filled with tears; she guessed that Kevin must have been waiting here for a long time.
Otherwise, it wouldn't have been able to stand just outside the washroom when the giant came.
Moreover, in order to protect her and lure the troll away, he did not hesitate to fight the terrifying troll in close combat.
Harry and Ron were also very anxious, especially Ron, who felt guilty because he hadn't caused the conflict.
"Can you guys stop pushing me... I feel like I can still be saved..." Kevin lay on the ground, speechless, looking at the three little ones. He wasn't actually injured; he was just relaxing from a tense state, and his whole body felt like it had been drained of all its strength.
Professor McGonagall examined Kevin and found he was just a little exhausted, but not injured.
She finally snapped: "Someone explain to me what happened!!"
The three little ones lowered their heads. Kevin knew they would explain, so he didn't bother to say anything and continued to lie flat.
Finally, Hermione spoke first.
"It's me, Professor McGonagall... I've read about trolls in books and thought I could handle it..."
I was wrong...
"If it weren't for Kevin, Harry, and Ron coming to save me, I might be dead."
Professor McGonagall looked at one of her favorite students in disbelief: "I'm very disappointed in you, Miss Granger."
Harry, who was looking down, noticed Snape's injured foot. Snape, noticing Harry's gaze, covered the wound with his robe.
"Gryffindor loses 5 points because of your recklessness," Professor McGonagall continued.
Hermione lowered her head, her face contorted in a frown. Kevin found it inexplicably amusing and couldn't resist reaching out to poke her, which earned him a reproachful look from Hermione, as if to say, "Stop fooling around."
"And you three gentlemen, I want you to know how lucky you are. It's rare for first-year students to fight a giant and survive. You each get five points."
Hermione finally smiled, as did Harry and Ron.
"Professor McGonagall, I think I should get ten points..." Kevin protested weakly, lying on the ground and raising his hand.
"No, now you don't even have a five!" Professor McGonagall glared at Kevin, who was still daring to act silly, and said angrily.
Kevin was also Professor McGonagall's favorite student, and she was genuinely worried about him, which is why she got so angry.
Then Professor McGonagall waved her wand, used the Levitation Charm to lift Kevin up, and led the others away.
The three little ones chuckled to themselves next to Kevin, as if to say, "Serves you right for being so talkative."
Snape glanced at Professor Quirrell and left, leaving Professor Quirrell to clean up the mess.
......
Kevin visited the infirmary a second time. Although he wasn't seriously injured, Professor McGonagall brought him in for further examination.
Professor Snape also came and tossed down a bottle of Restoration Potion, and gave Kevin a spare wand, which seemed to be some kind of unregistered stolen property... and then left with an air of arrogance.
The three little ones didn't dare to speak until Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall had left.
"Kevin, thank you for watching over me. I really don't know what I would have done on my own without you."
Hermione took Kevin's hand in her little hand.
Kevin was the person she got along best with at Hogwarts, without a doubt.
But she never expected that Kevin would care about her so much, silently guarding her outside when she was sad, and choosing to risk his life to protect her and attract the troll's attention when facing it.
This isn't a fairy tale; it's a real life-threatening situation. Kevin was willing to risk his life to protect her, how could she not be moved?
Kevin smiled, but tightened his grip on Ron's hand, then looked at Ron and gestured to him.
Ron understood Kevin's meaning, so he bowed his head and sincerely apologized to Hermione and Kevin, saying that none of this would have happened if it weren't for him.
Hermione forgave him very generously, after all, he and Harry had come to rescue her.
Peacemaker Harry cheered that everyone was back to normal.
"Harry, stop laughing. Tomorrow it'll be your turn to play Quidditch. Be careful you don't end up like me, lying on the floor."
Kevin, being the mood-breaker, mercilessly said "Harry."
Sure enough, Harry deflated, looking very nervous.
This drew laughter from several people.
Their friendship deepened further.
