Chapter 11 Pampas: Huh?

Time flew by as Su Wu was engrossed in making progress, until Pampas suddenly appeared and he realized that he had been in Meteor City for some time.

He was a top student and often lost track of time when doing problems. In the past, he would often work on problems from morning until midnight, only putting down his pen when his family told him to stop.

The only problem is that everyone assumes he can read it and doesn't need to learn it specifically, let alone be taught how to use it.

Su Wu couldn't just tell them, "I really can't read," otherwise he wouldn't be able to explain how he blew up the door all the way from District 13 to District 1, or how he managed to teleport.

As for Nen abilities, he can only figure them out by himself for now. I've heard that besides proper training, there are other methods, such as—training by getting beaten up.

Let's see if we can learn it during training.

It should be similar to the way in which incantations are used. Incantations are born from negative emotions, while thoughts are life energy.

Pampas appeared just as Su Wu finished a training session and was resting.

It was afternoon, but the sky over Meteor City didn't seem to change much. There was no blood-red sunset, only black smoke that seemed to never dissipate.

Every day, a large amount of garbage is burned, producing a lot of black smoke that rises into the sky. This means that no matter when you look up, the sky outside Meteor City always looks the same.

It was gloomy and obscure, as if even sunlight couldn't penetrate the layer of smoke to reach this area.

The blond man suddenly appeared in front of Su Wu, who was sitting alone.

"It's been a while since I last saw you. What happened to you?" His eyes held a mixture of scrutiny and surprise.

Su Wu thought to herself that it must be because she looked rather disheveled.

The bruises and wounds from each day's training would heal by the next day, making West Germany's training methods increasingly rigorous.

The initial plan of gaining weight once a month has been changed to gaining weight whenever Su Wu adapts to the weight rings on her body.

So far, Su Wu has gained weight six times. He himself doesn't know the exact weight. Each time, Sap's hand touches the ring on his body and the weight increases.

But the feeling of gradually becoming stronger is wonderful, just like when he participated in a math competition, solving problems, defeating opponents, and winning first place.

Thinking of this, Su Wu's smile revealed a hint of pleasure, and she said in a very relaxed tone, "Just routine training."

Do you train yourself to this level on a daily basis?

Pampas looked at the boy's face and recalled the boy's impeccable appearance when they first met.

Even when engaging in arrogant and unappealing behavior, she remains so beautiful that one can't help but admire the unique and superior quality of her face.

Looking at this disheveled face now, almost unrecognizable, Pampas couldn't help but think it was a waste of talent.

That face was so beautiful that even if Su Wu offered to sell herself for 1 billion Jenny, Pampas would buy it without hesitation.

Because he was confident he could sell the other person's face for a higher price.

But the fact that the other side's daily training was so demanding made Pampas feel that his initial choice was correct.

This kid is destined to become a strong person.

It was worth it for him to stop the Vulture Gang, other families in Meteor Street, and other elders from taking the man to the 12th District, which he was in charge of.

"Where's Sid?" Pampas looked around but couldn't find Sid anywhere, so he had to ask Su Wu.

"Him..." The white-haired boy seemed to chuckle with a hint of schadenfreude.

"Let's change in the church," he said casually.

"Why change into clothes in broad daylight?" Pampas asked, walking towards the church.

As soon as he moved, the children playing at the church entrance saw him.

"Lord Pampas, you've come to visit Lord Sid again?"

"Lord Pampas, I came in first this time!"

"Lord Pampas..."

The blond man seemed to be very prestigious among the children in District 12 and was admired by them.

As soon as they saw the other person appear, they couldn't wait to surround them and enthusiastically strike up a conversation.

The dirty, sweaty, and dusty children surrounded the Pampas in layers.

Pampas handled the group of children with ease.

"Yes, West Germany and I are good friends."

"You came in first place? Looks like we should consider having you join the church." He smiled warmly, never ignoring the voice of any child.

"You'll be in trouble if you interrupt your training like this," he said gently, pointing to the other priests around the church.

A group of children reluctantly left his side and resumed their interrupted training.

Seeing that no one was blocking his way anymore, Pampas strolled into the church.

"Did you change clothes in broad daylight because you did something awful?" he asked, knocking on one of the room doors, his voice mocking.

"I don't have time for anything else," Sid said in a low voice as he opened the door.

"It's just that the kid got my clothes dirty during training." He changed into a sleeveless vest that was the same style as the kids', but obviously much bigger, showing off his well-defined muscles in a carefree manner.

"You're training with him?" Pampas asked, his tone rising as if he'd heard something amusing.

What's going on? He thought Hill was training himself, so why would Sid be the other person's sparring partner?

"That kid was so weak before. Uvogin was standing there and letting him hit him, but he couldn't even make a move. I just couldn't stand it..." Sid seemed to have endless things to say about Mister, but in the end he only said a part of it.

However, he couldn't suppress his curiosity and looked at Pampas probingly: "So I really don't understand, why did you let him join the church in the first place? Is he really your son?"

The doubt in Pampas's eyes almost materialized into a symbol representing question.

Even West Germany, with its weaker strength, couldn't stand by and watch Hill's actions.

Are we talking about the same person?

You have to understand that the other party can detect his movements and even injure the puppets he controls through his mental attacks.

What kid could do that? You can't say their skills are weak.

When did West Germany's standards become so high?

"You're saying he's so weak you can't stand it? Because he fought the spider before?" Pampas extracted the key point from Sid's words and asked back.

"Yes, it was the day he first arrived in District 12. When Shalnark and Uvogin brought him some supplies, he volunteered to fight Uvogin," Sid explained frankly.

"I see..." Pampas said thoughtfully.

First of all, the opponent's strength could not be so weak as West Germany claimed that they "couldn't stand by and watch."

Secondly, it's a bit strange that the other side took the initiative to propose a match against Uvogin.

Did the other side know about the Phantom Troupe's existence?

"Have you ever thought about what would happen if he showed great strength, or rather, if his abilities were very interesting, or even if he defeated Uvogin?" As a smart person, Pampas looked at his not-so-bright friend Sid and asked very patiently.

Spiders are quite difficult to deal with.

"You mean, he's hiding his strength? It doesn't seem like it to me..." Sid murmured, puzzled.

The opponent certainly didn't show any ability to fight back during training.

"...Anyway, he's really not as weak as you think," Pampas explained, patting Sid on the shoulder.
