Boom!Boom!Boom!

Zhang Hui knocked on the door of Director Liu's office.

"Come in!"

Upon hearing this, Zhang Hui pushed open the door and went in. As soon as he looked up, he saw Director Liu sitting behind his desk.

"Hello, Director Liu!" Zhang Hui greeted him and then sat down in the chair in front of the desk, facing him directly.

"Songpashan still hasn't spoken, but I gleaned some useful information from his expression."

"Their facial expressions?" Director Liu was clearly unfamiliar with Zhang Hui's methods, so Zhang Hui launched into a long explanation of his theories about the facial expressions of criminals and liars. In the end, Director Liu could only agree with his theories and asked him to share the information he had gathered during the interrogation.

"Songpasan is probably the suspect's alias. He most likely used this cycling competition as an opportunity to impersonate a foreign athlete and enter the country. The way he transported the drugs was probably by bicycle. If the locker room in the stadium wasn't cleaned up, his fingerprints could probably be found on the bicycle he left there yesterday."

"The person who met with him was probably from Taiwan, and there were at least four people involved. It's not possible to confirm whether there were any other people on the other end."

"Although we can issue an investigation order to identify Taiwanese people who have entered the country recently, I personally believe they came from irregular channels. Generally, when it comes to drugs, very few people would choose to enter the country through regular channels."

After saying this, Zhang Hui glanced at Director Liu and, seeing that he had no intention of questioning him, continued, "As you know, our customs here are somewhat similar to those in Taiwan. You could say that we worship Mazu in the morning, but the person arrives in the afternoon."

Seeing that his witty remark had amused the other party, Zhang Hui seized the opportunity to reveal more "guesses" he had "interrogated" them about, such as their temporary residence or that they all carried guns.

After finishing his entire explanation, Director Liu, considering his all-night interrogation and compilation, hoped he could go and rest now.

Zhang Hui firmly rejected Director Liu's offer and insisted on joining their team. After all that hard work all night, wasn't it all to catch those drug traffickers and earn himself a reward?

After receiving approval, Zhang Hui told his partner the news, which made Chen Zhenxiong extremely excited. This silly kid still seemed to be focused on solving big cases, and now his wish had come true.

What happened next was something Zhang Hui had never encountered before: Director Liu provided him and Chen Zhenxiong with standard-issue pistols and the required number of bullets.

When Zhang Hui first got his hands on the pistol, he was very excited and examined it over and over with great interest. Apart from the original owner's memories, this was the first time he had ever faced a real gun.

However, the anti-drug squad members were clearly better equipped than him, with some members even equipped with longer guns and other more powerful weapons, which made Zhang Hui a little nervous.

Fortunately, they also had essential bulletproof vests and helmets. After putting on the bulletproof vests, Zhang Hui secretly touched them, and the thick fabric gave him a little bit of a sense of security.

Given that the plot had already deteriorated to an unknown degree, Zhang Hui had no way of knowing where the drug dealer was now. He could be at some athlete's hotel or hiding in a temple.

Without the precise address provided by Zhang Hui, Director Liu had no choice but to discuss it with the captain of the anti-drug team, and they eventually narrowed it down to several suspicious locations.

There were small hotels that didn't require identity registration, and many gathering places for migrant workers, but Zhang Hui also found the address of the hotel where the athlete stayed and a temple.

And the small team he chose to go to the temple might have an unexpected gain if they go there now.

In the early morning, the sunlight gradually enveloped the earth.

A vehicle speeding towards the temple carried Director Liu of the anti-drug squad, his six-person team, and two unofficial members, Zhang Hui and Chen Zhenxiong, making a total of nine people.

Sitting in the back row, Zhang Hui kept his eyes closed, still simulating various possibilities. He calmed himself down, repeatedly recalling all the information he knew and deducing different scenarios.

"Beep! Beep beep!"

The car horn suddenly rang out, and Zhang Hui opened his eyes abruptly. He looked carefully at the situation outside and found that the road was too narrow and the oncoming lane was gesturing.

Zhang Hui realized that the plot had been altered, and there might be a gunfight. He also thought that the other side was a group of drug traffickers, and if they were pushed to the brink, they would fight without hesitation.

Taking advantage of this lull, Zhang Hui decided to use up all 3 unallocated points to increase his Strength to 18. Strength would ensure his shooting stability, and besides, it wouldn't make much of a difference if he added points to other attributes, so it was better to focus on strengthening Strength.

Gradually, Zhang Hui felt changes in his body. Even though they weren't very obvious, they gave him some confidence to face what was to come.

When Zhang Hui arrived at the temple, the temple gates were just opened by the staff inside. He was glad he had arrived early; if the drug traffickers had really stayed there last night, they would definitely still be there.

Seeing the open space in front of the temple, Zhang Hui suggested that Director Liu park the car further away to avoid alerting the suspects. Director Liu agreed and got out of the car with his men. Before the operation, reconnaissance was necessary, and Zhang Hui, after persuasion, included him.

The four of them left all their equipment in the car, did some basic camouflage, and then headed into the temple. It seemed they had arrived too early; there weren't many people inside, and they reached the central courtyard with only a few people in sight.

Just as Director Liu was about to go to the office to ask the temple manager, Zhang Hui, who was dressed in a suit, nervously grabbed Director Liu's arm.

"There's...there's something going on!" Zhang Hui's voice trembled with excitement.

"What?" Director Liu was startled.

"I just saw two people walking upstairs from the side, and they were both wearing black suits. One of them was one-eyed. I think I saw him at the stadium last time. There's definitely something wrong here!" Although Zhang Hui didn't have any concrete evidence, he had the mouth of a prophet.

Even if he didn't see the one-eyed man, he would insist that he did, because he really saw a man in a suit going upstairs, and there was a chubby little hand missing two fingers holding onto the second-floor railing.

"Director Liu! Really, there's definitely something wrong here. We can't act rashly. The temple is such a small place, which isn't conducive to our arrest. Or perhaps we could lie in ambush outside and monitor them first?" Zhang Hui continued to express his thoughts.

Seeing how serious he was, Director Liu adopted his suggestion. After the four of them left, they put their equipment back on in the vehicle. At the same time, he issued orders to the other teams, requesting the first team to finish their search to come and provide support.

Four team members were also positioned in ambush on the side of the temple entrance. To avoid being detected, the ambushing team members used nearby abandoned barriers to create an area that would obstruct the view.

Not long after everyone was ready, the team member in the passenger seat of the car spotted four men in suits and sunglasses coming out of the temple.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Hui leaned closer to the car window and looked over. After confirming that it was the same people he had seen at the stadium, he nodded slightly to Director Liu.

The tense atmosphere is about to explode!
