Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 68 Conflict between Wood and Marcus
Marcus has put away his contempt.
Kane watched Draco's every move from the ground.
Just like when he was a child, he watched the other person practice flying in the sky.
He couldn't help but smile with satisfaction.
Marcus then released the Golden Snitch from the storage box.
As soon as he let go, the golden thief shot out like a golden lightning bolt.
They vanished from everyone's sight in an instant.
Draco, familiar with Quidditch, instantly realized that he needed to find the Golden Snitch while the opponent distracted him!
While continuing to observe the Quaffle that Marcus threw, Draco quickly surveyed the entire field.
They searched carefully for any trace of the golden thief.
Suddenly, the Quake ball flew past his back.
A stinging pain shot through Draco's back.
Fortunately, the Quaffle was positioned high up, otherwise Draco would have been knocked down by now.
Draco glanced at Kane below, gritted his teeth, and continued searching for the Golden Snitch's trail.
Marcus on the ground was extremely happy when the Quaffle hit his opponent.
But Draco's calmness at this moment alarmed him.
For a moment, the movements of his hands slowed down.
Just then, due to the other side's relaxation...
Draco quickly located the Golden Snitch.
A determined glint flashed in his eyes as he accelerated toward the golden thief.
Upon sensing Draco's approach, the Golden Snitch began to flee at top speed.
Draco kept his eyes fixed on it, constantly changing direction.
With its excellent flying skills, it kept a close and persistent pursuit.
The Golden Snitch flew towards the goal.
Draco had anticipated that the opponent would change direction near the goal and had prepared accordingly.
Sure enough, just as the Golden Snitch approached the goal, it suddenly changed direction.
Draco reacted quickly.
He steered his broom in a sharp turn, almost simultaneously with the Golden Snitch.
At the crucial final moment, he extended his right hand.
The Golden Snitch struggled for a moment, but was ultimately held firmly in Draco's hand.
Kane was also quite excited at this moment, clapping enthusiastically; indeed, exercise can also stir up the emotions of the audience.
Marcus was also shocked; he never expected this.
Even while injured, the opponent was still able to catch the Golden Snitch.
"Tch, he was just lucky."
Although Marcus was somewhat unconvinced, he had already acknowledged Draco's strength.
Draco flew over very quickly.
Holding the golden snitch in his hand, he ran up to Kane.
"Kane! I know, I know what's missing from this broom!"
"I'm missing the dragon skin sanitary pad you made for me."
Kane smiled until he saw a long, bloody gash on the other man's back.
The victory made Draco forget the pain he was in.
Until Kane grabbed a handful of white essence from his bag and slapped it onto the other person's back.
"Good, you didn't disgrace the Malfoy family."
A brief but intense stinging sensation struck, and the wound began to heal slowly.
"So, I guess I've passed now?"
Draco turned and asked.
Meanwhile, Marcus was carefully wiping the Nimbus 1000 in his hand.
"It's barely acceptable. I'll go see the dean once I'm ready."
After saying that, he began to tend to his broom again.
At that moment, Harry was standing next to Wood.
As Wood explained the rules of Quidditch, he looked toward the Quidditch pitch.
"There seem to be some people here, but only three. They should be able to train you."
They only discovered Kane and his group after they arrived at this location.
Harry greeted him as soon as he came up.
Wood was different; he didn't like any of the three.
Because of Quidditch, he rarely said a kind word to Marcus when they met.
And Draco, he'd also heard about it, that little villain who bragged about how great he was at Quidditch.
As for Kane, if his younger brother is like that, what good can his older brother be?
"What's wrong? Feeling threatened? Shall we start training now?"
Marcus, without even looking up, said, "A defeated opponent!"
Wood instantly felt furious, because Gryffindor had indeed been losing to Slytherin for the past few years.
That's why Professor McGonagall wanted Harry to join Quidditch this year.
Wood had already witnessed Harry's talent.
They originally intended to use Harry as Gryffindor's secret weapon.
However, the news that Harry would be the Seeker was still leaked.
"Are you planning to win again using this little rascal from the Malfoy family? Or are you going to teach him your foul-buying tricks again?"
Draco looked completely bewildered; how did the conversation turn to them?
Just then, Marcus overheard Wood making fun of Draco.
A surge of anger welled up inside me.
Marcus had already decided that this strong young wizard was the one.
Deep down, they don't like others talking about their teammates.
He stepped forward, glaring at Wood, and said, "What right do you have to talk about Draco like that?"
Seeing this, Wood retorted without backing down: "Any Quidditch player could beat him. Besides, weren't all your victories won by fouling? If you're so capable, let's have a match!"
Harry quickly stepped in, trying to calm the two down: "We all love Quidditch, let's stop arguing."
But neither of them would listen to this, and they even took out their wands.
Just as the two were about to make their move, two disarming spells knocked their wands away.
"If you ever get into an argument with someone and drag us into it, you won't end up like this!"
Kane warned Wood and then left with Draco.
Seeing the two leave, Marcus picked up his wand, gathered his belongings, and also picked up the 20 Galleons he had just left on the ground, before chasing after them.
Before leaving, he couldn't resist making a sarcastic remark to Wood: "It won't be like this next time."
Watching the group leave, Harry couldn't help but advise Wood, "Wood, it's best not to mess with Kane. You can't beat him."
Wood remained silent, simply keeping his head down as he picked up his wand.
Along the way, Marcus dared not say anything more, assuring everyone that Kane's disarming spell was the most powerful he had ever encountered.
Whose disarming charm can make a wand fly dozens of meters away?
The group arrived at Snape's office once again, but their mindsets were completely different now.
"Come in."
Snape looked at the people in the room, noticing Draco's smile and Marcus's silence.
He knew that this guy had definitely been dealt with by Kane.
I've tried to persuade you several times, but you just had to make trouble for yourself. You deserve it!
"Professor, Draco is good enough to join the team."
Snape nodded, after all, this ending was entirely within his expectations.
Then he flicked his wand.
Seven brand-new Nimbus 2000s appeared on the table!
"These seven brooms were a gift from Mr. Kane to our Slytherin team to celebrate his brother joining us."
