Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 67 Assessment

Snape looked at Kane with great interest upon hearing this.

I felt a pang of pity for Marcus; another unfortunate child.

Kane then looked at Snape with a puzzled expression. "You haven't done your job as the Dean of Students!"

Seeing that Kane was blaming him, Snape still spoke up and said, "Malfoy did well in flying class, let it go."

Marcus, however, was somewhat unwilling and boldly disobeyed his dean's orders.

"Professor, the capable should rise to the top! I believe that if he joins the team, it will definitely be based on his own abilities."

Seeing the other's attitude, Snape also began to get angry, his tone icy: "Oh, so you mean you're very capable?"

Marcus, however, failed to grasp his dean's meaning and was momentarily disoriented.

"Of course, my Quidditch skills are definitely better than theirs."

Hearing such absurd words from the other party, Snape was at a loss for words.

The other party is courting death and there's no turning back!

"Oh? You're that confident?"

Seeing the other party's arrogant demeanor, Kane couldn't help but ask a question in return.

At this moment, Marcus was completely unaware of the seriousness of the situation, thinking that Kane was provoking him.

"With your small bodies, you two would probably be knocked out by a Quake ball as soon as you stepped onto the field."

Marcus didn't care at all about how the others felt, after all, he always had this rough personality when playing Quidditch.

Upon hearing these words, Kane's expression gradually darkened.

Meanwhile, Draco also felt a fire burning within him.

Snape realized things were getting out of hand and wanted to resolve the matter quickly, otherwise Kane would definitely tear down his office.

"Marcus, it's settled then. Kane is a valuable asset..."

Before he could finish speaking, Kane interrupted him.

"How do you know you're better than us? How about we have a contest?"

Snape, interrupted by Kane, glared at Kane. That kid!

We'll give you a real workout sooner or later!

"I'm available anytime."

Marcus was somewhat dismissive of Kane's invitation.

In his eyes, these kinds of kids wouldn't even know how to ride a broom.

Although I heard that Zos got a beating from this kid a few days ago.

That at most shows that Kane has a high talent for spells.

This does not mean that the other party has the talent to fly.

Moreover, if this guy could, he would definitely participate in Quidditch himself instead of just letting his brother participate.

Draco had a mixed feeling when he heard that Kane wanted to fight the other person.

Because he wanted to join the Quidditch team, his brother consulted with Snape.

Now, someone doesn't want him to join, and it's his own brother who's standing in his way.

It seems that when I was a child, it was always the other person who stood in front of me.

But Kane is only a few minutes older than me.

"Kane, I'll go this time. It's just a test, right? I'm sure I can pass."

Draco felt he couldn't let Kane continue to stand in his way.

Marcus, upon hearing Draco's statement, felt even more smug.

His eyes showed an even lower opinion of the two of them.

See? This is me. Zos is just a piece of trash. He was actually defeated by a first-year student.

Kane was somewhat surprised, as he rarely saw the other party so responsible.

"are you sure?"

"I can do it, believe me."

Draco nodded emphatically.

Snape sat in his chair, his face looking rather grim, after all, these guys had really shown him no respect this time.

"You can all get lost. Just come out and give us the results."

Then a magical force pushed the group out of the office.

"Bang!" Then the door slammed shut.

"Let's go to the Quidditch pitch," Marcus said, walking ahead.

He couldn't wait to see the other person make a fool of themselves.

Soon, they arrived at the Quidditch pitch.

Marcus was the first to walk to the center of the field and take his broom out of the storage box.

It was a slightly old but well-maintained broom.

"Where are your brooms? Oh, right, I almost forgot, first-grade students aren't allowed to bring flying brooms to school."

Marcus finished speaking arrogantly, then hopped on his broom and kicked it hard.

They perform all sorts of fancy moves in the air above the court, trying to show off their superior skills.

Draco watched Marcus's aerial performance and couldn't help feeling a little nervous.

Just then, a hand landed on his shoulder.

Don't worry.

Marcus quickly got down and looked at the two boys in front of him.

A grin spread across his face as he asked, "So? Do you want to try again?"

I thought that doing this would hurt the two of them.

As a result, a bunch of sparkly objects flew towards him.

Fortunately, the flight path didn't land on his face, but instead landed directly at his feet.

"Thank you for your performance."

Kane casually tossed out twenty Galleons.

Marcus, standing still, felt humiliated, yet also a little tempted.

Keep in mind that his monthly living expenses are only ten Galleons, and that's considered relatively good for his family.

Right now, there are more than ten Galleons at his feet with just a glance.

He was caught in a mental battle between wanting to pick it up and not wanting to pick it up.

Kane didn't have time to think.

"What kind of test does Draco need to undergo? Let's begin now."

Marcus, upon hearing this, finally emerged from the awkward situation.

He opened a storage box containing the three types of balls needed for a Quidditch match.

"Let's test your flying skills first."

Marcus picked up a Quaffle.

Then he handed his broom to Draco.

"Be careful not to break my Nimbus 1000."

His tone was no longer as harsh as before.

Draco took the broom from the other man; it was the same model he had used before.

So he was very familiar with this broom, but he always felt that something was missing from it.

Draco pushed off the ground with one foot.

He appeared somewhat unsteady due to excessive nervousness.

Marcus's smile widened upon seeing this.

Then he took a Quake ball out of the storage box.

He threw it forcefully at Draco!

Ghost Fly shot towards Draco in the sky like a cannonball.

Draco heard the wind and saw the Quaffle hurtling towards him.

Startled, I quickly ducked down, narrowly avoiding the blow.

"This happens all the time in Quidditch; you're not up to the task."

Although Draco reacted quickly and dodged the attack, Marcus naturally wouldn't let Draco pass so easily.

Just as the Quaffle came again.

Draco first quickly tilted the broom to the left, using the broom to propel his body in a sharp turn.

The Quake just barely grazed the right side of his clothes as it whistled past.

Despite these repeated attacks, Draco perfectly dodged all the Quaffles with a series of left and right dodges.

"Not bad, kid, you've got some skills."
