Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 58 Subduing Bane

Upon hearing Kane's words, Bane glared fiercely at the boy in front of him with his large, bell-like eyes.

A strong sense of hostility emanated from his eyes.

In his mind, no wizard was any good; they were always arrogant and haughty, and they didn't take other races seriously at all.

Look at this little wizard, only in first grade, and he's already like this!

"Hmph, you ignorant little wizard!"

Bain spoke, his voice low and filled with anger.

He didn't make a move, after all, as a centaur, he wouldn't stoop to the level of a little kid.

Kane took a step forward, a hint of mockery in his eyes: "So, all the centaurs can do is show off to a few eleven-year-old kids."

Draco, watching anxiously from the side, reached out to pull Kane back.

Their hearts pounded with anxiety; how could they possibly defeat these two tall and mighty centaurs?

Bain was so angry that his tail was swishing loudly and his mane was standing on end; he was clearly provoked by Kane's words.

"Kid, apologize! Bain is really angry." Ferenz quickly stepped forward to stop him, looking at Kane with worry in his eyes.

Then he turned to Bain and said, "They're still young, don't be impulsive."

Kane wouldn't listen to advice, and curled his lip: "Apologize? I didn't say anything wrong. If he thinks I'm not good enough, then let him see for himself."

Kane also had his own plans.

He knew that centaurs had a certain degree of immunity to magic. Although he could win using magic, it wouldn't be as effective.

He wanted to challenge his limits and try fighting the centaurs without a wand, relying solely on his physical strength. What a rare opportunity! And if he won, the next step would be to challenge other magical creatures!

"Fine! You little wizard brat, since you insist, don't blame me for being impolite!"

Bain roared, kicked off with his hind legs, and charged toward Kane like an arrow.

He moved extremely fast, creating a gust of wind that sent the surrounding leaves and withered branches flying everywhere.

Seeing this, Kane quickly dodged to the side, nimbly avoiding Bane's first attack.

He silently estimated Bane's strength and speed while considering countermeasures.

Bane missed his first attack and immediately turned around to attack Kane again. This time, he raised his front hooves high and slammed them down on Kane.

Kane did not back down. He seized the opportunity and, just as Bain's hoof was about to land, grabbed Bain's forelegs tightly with both hands.

This left everyone around dumbfounded; they all wondered if Kane had gone mad.

Without using a wand, he actually wants to fight the centaurs with his small body!

Bain's lips curled into a smug smile.

I thought to myself that I couldn't possibly catch this little brat. Even an adult might not be able to hold onto his leg, let alone a mere child.

He could already picture Kane being flung away and landing face-first in the mud, looking utterly pathetic.

But what happened next shocked everyone around them.

Kane held onto the other man's leg tightly, while Bain struggled to shake Kane off.

But at this moment, Kane was like an iron clamp, firmly "biting" Bane and refusing to let go.

Kane was feeling a bit strained, even though he was able to keep his opponent from getting away.

But the other person used their legs, while he used his arms.

In the long run, he will definitely suffer losses.

So, taking advantage of the moment when Bain swayed his body again, he pulled hard.

Using this force, he pushed off with both legs and jumped onto Bane's back like an agile monkey.

Before Bain could even rejoice after Kane released his hands!

"What?"

Bain clearly hadn't expected Kane to do this, and he twisted his body even more frantically, trying to throw Kane off.

At this moment, Kane was like an ancient warrior taming a wild horse, swaying left and right on Bane's back, but unable to fall off.

Although my body was tossed about violently like a small boat in a storm.

He still held tightly to Bain's mane, his legs clamping firmly around Bain's body, maintaining his balance steadily.

"Giddy up! Seriously, you guys should open a children's playground in the Forbidden Forest. Your kiddie ride would definitely make a fortune!" Kane joked with a laugh.

"Get down!" Bane kicked wildly, like a runaway tractor, rampaging through the forest.

The more out of control Bain became, the calmer Kane became.

He has noticed that Bain pauses briefly every time he turns.

So, he waited for the moment when Bain would turn, and in the instant Bain paused, he quickly reached out, grabbed one of Bain's ears, and pulled hard.

"Ah!" Bain cried out in pain, his body involuntarily tilting to one side.

Kane took the opportunity to adjust his posture, squeezing Bane's body even tighter with his legs.

At the same time, he gripped Bane's ears and mane tightly with both hands and began to control Bane's movements like a horse.

"left!"

"To the right!"

Look ahead!

Kane shouted, while pulling hard on Bane's ear.

In pain and astonishment, Bain actually obeyed Kane's command and turned his body in the direction Kane had indicated.

"Haha, looks like you're not completely unruly after all!" Kane said with a laugh, his laughter filled with the joy of victory.

Ferenczek, Harry, Draco, Neville, and the others watched in stunned silence.

They never expected that Kane would actually be able to ride on Bane and completely subdue him.

"This...how is this possible?" Ferenze muttered to himself.

Under Kane's control, Bane gradually lost his strength, his body trembled slightly, and his breathing became rapid.

He knew in his heart that he had been defeated by this little wizard.

"You...you're even more troublesome than a troll!"

"What, am I not a little brat anymore?" Kane loosened his grip on Bane's ear, but remained on his back.

He remembered that Bain had called him a brat before.

Bain remained silent; after all, he had lost and had nothing to say.

He never imagined that a mere wizard could defeat him without even using a wand.

"And if I remember correctly, the depression above your tailbone is your centaur's fatal weakness, isn't it?"

This is a weakness in the centaur's joints that Kane saw in a book in the Hogwarts library.

Upon hearing Kane's words, the hostility in Bain's eyes vanished, replaced by a hint of admiration and surprise.

Kane clearly had many opportunities to attack his weaknesses, but he didn't do so at all.

"I...I admit, you're very capable."

Bain finally spoke, his voice tinged with reluctance, but more so with approval of Kane.

Kane jumped off Bane's back, a victorious smile spreading across his face. "We don't have to be enemies. We can solve problems together, can't we?"

Bain did not refute this at this moment, having already witnessed the power of this young wizard.

"Let me take you back first, Kane. Here, take this. You can use it to contact me later."

Ferenczer tossed a piece of wood to Kane; it was a piece of wood with a centaur pattern on it.

"How do you know my name?" Kane asked, looking up as he finished putting his things away.
