Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 57 Entering the Forbidden Forest for the First Time

After the students quieted down, Mrs. Hodge finished explaining how to control the broom and some precautions.

Then everyone was asked to try it themselves.

Kane, Harry, and Draco quickly made the broom fly into their hands again.

This really worried Ron and Hermione!

Anxiety, tension, and anger clashed within Ron.

Despite reciting the incantation, the broom remained completely still on the ground.

With great difficulty, the broom reluctantly and slowly rose.

But it was difficult to rise even an inch. Ron hurriedly tried to reach out and grab it, but he missed and the broom fell back down.

Hermione stood ramrod straight, her expression serious, trying to calm herself down.

However, they didn't arrive as quickly as she had imagined, unlike Kane.

After several attempts, it finally flew shakily into her hand.

After a while, the other students also picked up the brooms on the ground.

Mrs. Hodge then explained to everyone how to take off.

Just as everyone was getting ready, a gasp came from Neville's side.

Neville's broom began to shake uncontrollably, as if it had gone mad.

Then, with a "whoosh" sound!

The broom carried Neville high into the sky, then flew towards the Forbidden Forest.

"Ahhhhh!"

As Neville watched the ground recede further and further away, he nearly fainted from fright and could only cling tightly to the broom.

Kane, seeing this, realized something was wrong and inwardly cried out in alarm.

This is quite different from the original plot!

Is this chubby kid really going to die from the fall?

Without the slightest hesitation, he immediately mounted his broom and chased after them.

Seeing his brother Kane rush out, Draco, not wanting to be outdone, mounted his broom and followed after him with a powerful push.

A hint of hesitation appeared on Harry's face as well.

Hermione, seemingly guessing his thoughts, quickly dissuaded him, "Harry, you've only just started learning to fly!"

But Harry was determined. He pushed off with his feet and took flight steadily, chasing after the three who had gone ahead.

After they left, only the astonished students and Mrs. Hodge, equally bewildered, remained.

By this time, Neville's broom had already flown over the Forbidden Forest.

Kane rode his slightly worn broom, trying to pick up speed.

But the broom seemed to be struggling under the weight, making a creaking sound in protest, and it still couldn't pick up the speed.

Just then, Neville in front let out a terrified scream.

Suddenly, the frantic broom flipped violently.

Neville gripped the broom tightly with both hands.

However, due to physical exhaustion, she no longer had the strength to support her obese body.

He plummeted down into the forbidden forest like a kite with its string cut.

Those watching from a distance held their breath in worry for Neville.

At this critical moment, Kane drew his wand.

A soft blue light emanated from the tip of the wand.

It hit Navee precisely.

Neville's falling speed slowed instantly, like a feather.

Kane flew off in the direction Neville had fallen.

They plunged headlong into the forbidden forest.

Entering the forbidden forest, the sunlight outside instantly creates a stark contrast.

The surrounding trees were tall and dense, their leaves intertwined, almost blocking out the sky!

The lighting was dim and eerie!

Occasionally, the cries of unknown creatures echoed through the silent forest, sending chills down one's spine.

Kane carefully landed beside Neville.

At this moment, Neville's face was as pale as paper, his eyes were closed, and his body was still trembling slightly.

Kane gently patted Neville's face: "Neville, wake up."

Neville slowly opened his eyes, his gaze filled with fear and confusion. Upon seeing Kane, tears welled up in his eyes: "I...I thought I was going to die."

Just as Kane was about to leave with Neville, he heard the sound of a broom hitting the ground behind him.

Looking back, Harry and Draco had arrived.

Draco jumped down and landed comically on the ground, then calmly dusted off non-existent dust.

He tried to maintain his usual arrogant demeanor, but his trembling hands betrayed his inner tension.

"This wretched place, we've finally caught up with you."

Harry, looking worried, hurried over to Neville and asked with concern, "Neville, are you alright?"

Kane answered Harry directly.

"He's alright, let's leave here first."

But as they prepared to leave, they discovered a thorny problem.

A flying broom cannot carry two people at the same time.

So they had no choice but to walk back through the forest!

Just then, the sound of footsteps treading on dry branches came from deep within the woods, making a "rustling" sound.

Kane reacted quickly, instinctively drawing his wand and shielding the group behind him.

Harry and Draco also drew their wands and assumed defensive stances.

From the source of the sound, two tall centaurs slowly emerged.

Their upper bodies were those of robust humans, while their lower bodies resembled those of galloping horses, their muscle lines faintly visible in the dim light.

"A student at Hogwarts? Hmm? You're Harry Potter!"

Upon seeing the Hogwarts uniform, the centaur Frenzer, who was walking ahead, instinctively asked.

But he quickly recognized Harry, after all, the prominent scar on Harry's forehead was too obvious.

His gaze then fell directly on Kane.

His voice was deep and ethereal.

"You, a person with an extraordinary destiny, have stepped into forbidden territory, disrupting the melody of fate. The trajectory of the stars has changed because of you, and the interweaving of darkness and light has become increasingly chaotic. In the coming storm, you will become the key fulcrum, the scales of choice will swing in your hands, and a small decision can rewrite the fate of countless people."

Another centaur tilted his head slightly, gazing at the sky obscured by branches, and continued, "When the blood-red full moon hangs high, the ancient curse revives, and the power of darkness will surge like a tidal wave. And you are the only hope in despair."

Kane was completely confused.

I was just about to go up and ask.

The first centaur raised his forelegs, causing the ground to tremble slightly, and said, "I am Ferenze, and this is Bain. It is a pleasure to meet you both."

"Ferencer, do you really believe that this child can defeat that force?"

The centaur named Bain was somewhat displeased.

"This is what I foresaw, and he can do it!" Ferenze looked directly into Bain's eyes, his words filled with determination.

"Although the celestial signs have told us something, we need to remain observers! We cannot defy the will of Heaven! Besides, these sorcerers are not worthy of our trust!"

Bain began to refute Ferencze.

"This calamity will also spread to our race! We are destined to cooperate with the wizards!"

"So, you're going to become a traitor?"

Seeing the two about to start arguing, Kane impatiently interjected.

"If you can fight, then shut up. Let's have a fight, and whoever wins is right!"
