Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 54 Reencounter with Mischievous Ghost
Kane also noticed this, but it was a struggle within Hermione herself.
A clash between reason and a sense of justice.
This can be seen from the efforts made in the original work to change house-elves.
Even if I say it, it won't change anything.
Kane even suspected that Hermione had reported Barty Jr. for impersonating Professor Moody in the original books.
After they parted, Kane went to rest.
He needed to prepare for what he would do that evening.
Night stroll.
Strictly speaking, this was his first planned nighttime outing.
After getting used to the environment over the past two days, and with the help of two experienced night tour experts, we were able to enjoy ourselves.
He believed that this night tour would be a perfect experience.
Soon Kane's pocket watch would be pointing to 11 o'clock.
Kane, now completely masked and dressed entirely in black, was now fully covered.
They tiptoed out of the lounge and headed to the agreed-upon location.
At the agreed-upon corner, Kane hid behind a massive stone pillar.
Wait quietly.
Soon after, they heard light footsteps and hushed conversations.
Do you think Kane will arrive on time?
Fred's voice came through.
"Definitely, he's not the kind of person to stand someone up," George replied.
Just as they were about to get close.
A wicked sense of amusement arose in Kane's mind.
He suddenly darted out from behind the stone pillar, changing his voice.
"Stop right there! You two aren't sleeping in your dorms in the middle of the night, are you trying to get into my office to deal with the Bapoma tubers?"
Upon hearing Snape's voice, the two instantly sensed something was wrong.
Bapau tuber is an extremely ugly plant.
But it didn't look like a plant; it looked more like a big, black, sticky slug, emerging straight out of the soil.
To treat it, you need to wear leather gloves and squeeze out the pus from the bulge.
Thinking of this, the smiles on their faces vanished instantly, and goosebumps rose all over their bodies.
"Oh no, it's Professor Snape!" Georgetown's voice trembled, and his legs involuntarily went weak.
Fred nearly dropped his wand, stammering, "This...how is this possible? I remember he was brewing potions at this time!"
Several seconds passed before the two of them recovered from their extreme terror.
Upon closer inspection, something seemed amiss!
When did Snape become so short?
"Hahaha." Kane couldn't help but laugh.
The two then realized they had been tricked.
"Kane, you bad guy!" Fred pretended to be angry, patting his chest to try to calm his wildly beating heart.
George, both amused and exasperated, complained, "We're usually the ones who prank others, but you almost scared me to death today!"
Kane grinned and teased, "How was my imitation? Not bad, right?"
"The voices are fine, but if the body types were exactly the same, that would be perfect," the two brothers replied after careful consideration.
"Unfortunately, we don't know how to brew compound potions yet." As if thinking of this, George sighed heavily.
"If only we could transform into other people's appearances at will, then we could wander around at night whenever we wanted!"
Fred continued.
"Alright, let's not forget the important business we need tonight, or Filch will be back soon," Kane reminded him.
So the group walked along the dimly lit corridor, taking each step very carefully.
Led by the twins, the three of them narrowly avoided all the ghosts.
Finally, they arrived at Filch's office.
Kane was about to open it with his wand.
But George stopped him, exchanging a sly smile with Fred.
Then Fred took a thin key out of his pocket.
These are their homemade lock keys, which have been improved many times and are specifically designed to deal with all kinds of door locks.
Fred inserted the key into the lock and turned it gently while muttering incantations.
With a soft "click," the lock opened.
To Kane's astonishment, the twins smugly pushed open the door and went inside.
They were completely unaware of their own footing.
"oops!"
The two of them tripped over something at the same time!
When the two sat up, they realized that the person in front of them was not Pipi Ghost.
No wonder I haven't seen Pikachu all day!
"Filch actually took care of Peeves!"
The two were somewhat surprised, after all, they both had a headache when they encountered the mischievous ghost.
It's unbelievable how Filch, a Squib, managed to subdue Peeves.
"What you're looking for should be in this cabinet, right?"
Kane's voice came through.
Their eyes were immediately drawn to a huge cabinet in the corner of the room, covered with labels that read "Confiscated Items".
The two people on the ground instantly lost all interest in the mischievous ghost on the ground.
He quickly got up and walked towards the cabinet.
Kane was also somewhat eager; he was still very curious about the liveness map that could detect invisibility cloaks and Animagus.
With a "creak".
The cabinet door was pulled open, and a sour smell and dust rushed out.
The items in the cabinet were in disarray, and the magical artifacts looked simple and old.
Kane pulled open an old wooden box bound with hemp rope and with worn edges. Inside was a quill pen with a broken nib and indistinct runes engraved on the handle.
Push aside a stack of yellowed parchment with curled edges; the ink on the paper has faded due to its age.
We passed another crystal ball with a missing corner, emitting a dim light. The inside of the crystal ball was murky, as if it had been sealed by the dust of time.
Kane ignored all that and frantically rummaged through the clutter with both hands.
Suddenly, his fingers touched a rough piece of parchment, and a premonition welled up in his heart.
With trembling hands, he picked it up and gently unfolded it. Although the parchment was old and yellowed, he recognized it at a glance.
This is the item he wanted.
The twins were searching for something among the pile of items.
Just as the two were happily finding their target, a sound suddenly came from behind them.
"Let me see which little wizards are stealing things here!"
That was the voice of Pippi the Ghost; he had woken up sometime earlier.
Kane knew in his heart that his spell had expired.
The twins' faces turned deathly pale instantly.
They were discovered by Mischievous Ghost to be out at night and stealing!
This time, their situation is definitely more than just points deductions and solitary confinement!
They closed their eyes, bracing themselves for the punishment to come.
Surprisingly, Pipi didn't yell or scream.
Instead, he looked at the boy in black with a serious expression.
For some reason, he felt that the figure of the man in black looked somewhat familiar.
Soon, a hint of pleading appeared on Pipi Ghost's previously arrogant face.
"If I said I didn't see anything, would you believe me?"
Kane smiled and raised his wand.
"Of course, as long as you don't say anything, I'll definitely believe you."
After this curse, Peeves crashed heavily to the ground once again.
"George, Kane looks like he's killed someone! What do we do? Should we lie down and play dead?"
Fred stood by, somewhat worried.
George rolled his eyes at his brother, Peeves, who wasn't entirely a ghost.
But he's not human either!
