Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 53 Hermione's Thoughts
Dumbledore and Draco were standing in front of Harry's bed.
Watching Harry undergo a full examination by Madam Pomfrey.
"Professor, I feel like my head doesn't hurt as much anymore."
Harry said cautiously.
After he left the classroom, he felt his headache gradually disappear.
After telling Draco, he refused to go back.
Instead, she was determined to take Harry to the infirmary, thinking to herself, "I finally got out of the classroom, and you're telling me to go back!"
No way!
Madam Pomfrey was in pain when Harry told her about his scar.
This reminded me of the trauma Harry suffered as a child under Voldemort's Killing Curse.
So they summoned Dumbledore.
......
The group was slightly surprised to see Kane help Neville in.
"What happened?" Mrs. Pomfrey asked anxiously, while helping Kane to get Neville to bed.
Before Kane could reply, he heard a voice from behind.
"Quirk...Quirk...Professor, you've cast the Unforgivable Curse during class!"
The person speaking was panting heavily; it was clear they had run there.
It turns out that Hermione left the classroom quickly after feeling the oppressive atmosphere.
But I haven't seen Kane since.
She only realized that Kane had taken Neville to the school hospital, so she rushed over immediately!
"Oh! How could that be? Quirrell, he's so honest." Mrs. Pomfrey seemed a little unconvinced, and said while trying to calm Neville down.
"It's true, the professor fainted then, and afterwards he was like a completely different person! Kane can testify to that!"
Hermione was eager to prove the truth of her words.
Draco then turned his gaze to Kane.
How could the teacher, whom he considered the most cowardly and even despised by Kane, possibly cast such a spell in class?
I thought the answer would be no, but Kane nodded.
Dumbledore glanced at Kane, who was nodding, and pushed his glasses up slightly.
His eyes gleamed, as if he were deep in thought.
"You all go out first, let Mr. Longbottom and Mr. Harry get some rest!"
Mrs. Pomfrey has begun to drive everyone away; for her, the patient's health is of utmost importance!
Dumbledore and his companions went outside and saw several young wizards staring at him.
Helpless, he said, "I believe Professor Quirrell didn't mean it. I'll talk to him in detail later and persuade him to change his teaching methods."
Hermione nodded. Despite the headmaster's promise, her girlish intuition told her that something was wrong with Professor Quirrell.
Kane, standing nearby, knew perfectly well that Dumbledore must have noticed something was wrong with Professor Quirrell; otherwise, he wouldn't have reminded Snape to keep an eye on Quirrell in the original story.
This time it's Quirrell, or rather Voldemort.
We definitely need to come up with a good way to deal with Dumbledore.
But these are none of Kane's business!
After being persuaded by Dumbledore, the group left the infirmary.
Draco already knows that get out of class will end early today.
He couldn't wait to go back and tell his friends how Draco helped Harry break the Dark Lord's curse.
Hermione and Kane did not immediately return to the lounge, but instead went to the library.
Kane, on the other hand, continued his research into the fundamentals of alchemy.
Hermione seemed to be looking up some information, with a thick stack of documents piled up beside her.
The Complete Book of Magical Laws, Analysis of Forbidden Magic...
Soon it seemed the other party had found what they wanted.
Hermione's face at that moment showed an undisguised urgency and seriousness.
Soon, as if he had made up his mind, he wrote something down on his parchment.
A moment later, Hermione looked up and spoke to Kane.
"Kane, I've seen this before. In 1717, the Unforgivable Curse was listed as an absolutely forbidden spell. And today, Professor Quirrell used one of those spells."
After listening, Kane frowned and nodded solemnly.
What's Hermione up to? What's she planning to do?
Hermione's sense of justice grew even stronger. She clenched her fists and said firmly, "This is illegal! I'm going to report him and get the Ministry of Magic to handle this!"
Kane was a little confused. Report him?
He remembered that in the original story, when Barty Crouch Jr., disguised as Professor Moody, used the Unforgivable Curse in class, just like Professor Quirrell!
Hermione didn't report it at that time.
Why is this little girl now reporting Quirrell?
Seeing that Kane didn't speak, Hermione thought that Kane didn't believe in her determination.
He handed the parchment in his hand to Kane.
Kane glanced at it.
"Dear Director of the Enforcement Division of the Ministry of Magic:"
I am Hermione Granger from Gryffindor House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With extreme shock and indignation, I am reporting to you the serious illegal activities of our Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Quirrell.
In today's Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Professor Quirrell cast the Crucifixion and Killing Curse from the Unforgivable Curses in front of the entire class. He first used the Crucifixion to torture a rat, and the rat's painful screams and contorted appearance terrified every student present.
Then he cast the Killing Curse, the deadly green light plunging the entire classroom into an atmosphere of despair. I knew all too well the evil nature of the Unforgivable Curse and the grave consequences of using it.
The magical world strictly forbids the use of these spells in order to maintain peace and justice. Professor Quirrell, as a teacher, should have set an example by imparting correct magical knowledge and values to us. Instead, he blatantly violated magical laws and abused the Unforgivable Charm. This not only caused immense harm to our students' physical and mental well-being but also seriously threatened the safety and order of Hogwarts.
I urge the Ministry of Magic to launch an immediate investigation and take Professor Quirrell's actions seriously. I am willing to provide all necessary evidence and assistance.
I only hope that justice will be served and the magical world will be restored to its former peace.
Hermione Granger
Ugh, Kane felt a bit overwhelmed after reading the contents of the letter.
Hermione's sense of justice seems to be overflowing.
However, the Ministry of Magic is plagued by bureaucracy and corruption.
If Hermione had actually sent this letter of complaint under her real name, no one would have cared.
"Hermione, the headmaster said he'll handle Professor Quirrell. You have to trust Dumbledore, don't you?"
Kane kindly advised her, after all, this was not an easy thing for a Muggle-born little girl.
"but......"
Hermione seemed to want to say something, but ultimately gave up.
The matter was thus dropped.
On their way back to rest, Hermione was preoccupied and didn't say a word.
