Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 49 The First Harmony Between Old Friends

In the Great Hall of Hogwarts, a bright red envelope was delivered to Ron.

Neville stood to the side, his face showing concern, and earnestly reminded him, "Open it, Ron. I once ignored Grandma's yelling letter, and it turned out horribly."

Ron swallowed nervously, his hands trembling slightly as he tore open the beeswax seal.

A roar like that of a dinosaur in fury erupted! It filled the entire auditorium!

"Ron Weasley!"

"You are a disgrace to the Weasley family!"

"On the second day of school, I received a letter from your Professor McGonagall. How could you do such a thing to a young girl!"

"You should learn from your older brothers!"

"If you do anything bad again, we'll take you home. I don't want another dark wizard in my house!"

"Oh, by the way, Miss Hermione, we are so sorry Ron has caused you inconvenience. Please accept our sincere apologies!"

After saying this, the roaring letter clicked its tongue at Ron, and then with a "rip," it tore itself into pieces.

"Hahaha!"

At that moment, laughter filled the entire auditorium.

The young wizards around him were all laughing at the red-haired Weasley.

Hermione looked at the other person, a hint of pity flashing in her eyes.

Ron is now in a situation like a rat crossing the street, with everyone wanting to kick him.

Harry secretly rejoiced that he wasn't sitting next to Ron, otherwise those mocking glances would have been directed at him as well.

Meanwhile, on the Slytherin side, Draco's voice was particularly loud.

Draco was sitting at the long table. He had been a little annoyed to see Ron unharmed that morning.

But after the other party received the shouting message, their troubles vanished, and they felt completely refreshed.

Ron seemed unable to bear it, and alone, with his head down, he hurriedly ran out of the auditorium.

Percy sat in his seat, his face grim, and remained silent.

He felt ashamed of his brother, but he knew in his heart that the root of all this was not his brother.

It was the boy at the Slytherin table, the one with blond hair, quietly eating his meal—Kaine Malfoy!

Last time Kane caused trouble in the carriage, he didn't dare tell the professor.

He didn't want more people to know that he, a Gryffindor prefect, had actually been defeated by a Slytherin freshman!

He will avenge his brother! And also vent his own anger.

......

"This is a highly effective medication for treating pustules, measles, boils, and other symptoms of lymph node tuberculosis."

"It is also a powerful potion with a strong character. You muscle-bound, simple-minded fellows must be careful when brewing potions."

"Otherwise, if the potion gives you guys boils all over your faces, I won't take you to the hospital..."

During the second Potions class in the morning, Professor Snape once again began his sharp-tongued mode.

In this class, Draco finally got his wish and was assigned to the same group as Kane.

"Draco, get the cauldron away from the flames!"

At Kane's command, Draco hurriedly complied.

"Now, we can release the porcupine quills."

Kane continued to direct the operation methodically.

I couldn't help but wonder, how come my younger brother, who had memorized the basics, was so clumsy and awkward in practice?

Kane was unaware that he was judging Draco by his own standards, and Draco was already far better than his two henchmen.

Soon, pink smoke rose from the crucible, a sign that the cooking process was successful.

But just then, a pungent odor filled the air.

Professor Snape immediately turned around, his eyes fixed on Neville and Harry.

"Mr. Neville Longbottom? Mr. Potter, why didn't you remind Mr. Longbottom to turn off his engine before joining the Porcupines? Because of your irresponsibility towards your classmate, Gryffindor will lose another five points!"

The large cauldron in front of Neville had been dissolved by the medicine, emitting thick, sour-smelling green smoke.

Neville's face had started to break out in a dense rash of red, swollen boils because the medicine had come into contact with it.

Snape eventually took Neville to the school hospital.

"You guys stay here. Kane, keep order in the classroom. If I'm not back, get out of class can end on time!"

As soon as Snape left, the classroom erupted in chaos.

Seamus of Gryffindor shouted excitedly, "Great! Snape's finally gone! If he hadn't left, my cauldron might have exploded!"

The young Slytherin wizards glanced at Kane briefly before lowering their heads again to continue focusing on the potion in their hands.

"Hey, come help me!"

The young wizard beside Seamus pulled him up.

But instead of taking any action, he stretched out his arms.

Harry stood there, somewhat at a loss. His companions were not around, and he had no materials left. He didn't know what to do.

"Draco, bring me my ingredients and come help Harry cook it again."

Kane gave the order.

Draco, though somewhat reluctant, slowly walked over to Harry, muttering, "Honestly, why didn't you get that redhead's help? I did it all myself."

"Thank you, Draco." Harry whispered a thank you as Draco walked up to him.

"It's okay, I've already gone through it once. You can go through it next, right?" Draco felt a little motivated when he heard Harry's words, but his inherent laziness still made him want to slack off.

"Sure, by the way, why didn't you come out to duel Ron last night?" Harry didn't dawdle, asking while preparing the potion.

"Get points deducted after coming out, and then be criticized by classmates the next day? I was born to add points for Slytherin!" Draco replied confidently.

......

And so, the two chatted as they methodically brewed the potion.

Draco, who is usually lazy, is now earnestly helping Harry.

Kane walked over to Seamus, who was slacking off, and asked coldly, "Why aren't you continuing to brew the medicine?"

"Can't I rest for a bit because I'm tired?" Seamus retorted nonchalantly, clearly not taking Kane seriously.

"Have you rested enough now?" Kane's gaze was sharp as he stared intently at Seamus.

"No!" Simo retorted defiantly, his neck stiff.

He thought to himself, "We're about the same height, I don't believe Kane can do anything to me."

"Then you should lie down and rest!" Kane reacted quickly, grabbing Seamus and slamming him to the ground.

Simo suddenly felt as if several people were pressing down on him, making it hard for him to breathe. He quickly begged for mercy, "I was wrong, I was wrong, I've rested enough!"

Kane released his grip, his gaze sweeping over the young wizards watching, and said authoritatively, "Would you like to try too? Be careful when brewing the potion. If you're worried about something going wrong, you can ask me, Hermione..."

Kane then pointed out a few more people who had already brewed potions, and the classroom quickly became busy.

The young wizards were all somewhat afraid of Kane, and none of them came to him for help, so Kane had some free time.

Seeing this scene in the classroom, Kane nodded. Sure enough, the Eastern adage "strict teachers produce outstanding students" also applies to this magical world!

As get out of class was about to end, Snape returned to the Potions classroom, followed by Neville, whose face was wrapped in bandages.

Snape checked each student's work one by one and found that they had all done a very good job.

When he walked up to Harry and Draco, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

He had already planned to deduct points from Harry before he left, but he didn't expect that Harry and Draco would do it together.

But there's one more person who's going to be unlucky, and that person is...

"Mr. Neville Longbottom, the final result was unsuccessful, deduct 3 points."
