Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 28: Draco gets extra points!

Everyone looked astonished, their faces filled with disbelief.

So you've just compromised like that?

They were certain that Kane Malfoy, who had stole the show at the Sorting Ceremony, would clash with the professor and put him to the test.

After all, the Malfoy family is notoriously arrogant, so how could they easily swallow this insult?

Even Draco himself found it hard to believe.

"I'll apologize?" He pointed to himself, his eyes wide, as if he had heard something unbelievable.

"Apologize, and let's get back to class." Kane said calmly, nodding slightly.

Dracoton felt a chill run down his spine, as if Kane had abandoned him in a frozen wasteland, and disappointment in his brother quietly began to grow in his heart.

But the situation forced him to step forward, despite his reluctance. He bowed deeply to Professor Old and said in a muffled voice, "I'm sorry, Professor."

As soon as the words left his mouth, a wave of grievance surged into Draco's heart. He felt a surge of heat in his eyes, and tears welled up uncontrollably.

It's worth noting that at home, even when Lucius was angry, he would never put Draco in such an embarrassing situation.

Narcissa cherished him dearly and doted on him.

Although Kane often bullies him, he always earnestly helps him solve problems when he encounters them.

Just like that time, when his parents were too busy with the family business to keep up with their own, Draco played with his flying wand by himself, eagerly anticipating flying freely through the air like a pro.

Unfortunately, being a novice, he was clumsy in controlling the wand, and it suddenly went out of control.

Draco plummeted from a height of fifteen feet, and excruciating pain instantly coursed through his body.

Just as Draco was in so much pain that he was about to faint, Kane rushed over anxiously.

His usual serious demeanor was completely gone, replaced by a face full of anxiety and heartache.

He carefully helped Draco up, his concern in his eyes seeming to dispel all the pain.

At that moment, Draco truly felt that Kane was his strongest support.

But this time, he wasn't in front of him. Draco naturally felt extremely wronged, but he still tried his best not to let others see the tears in his eyes.

"Given Draco's disrespect towards the teacher, deduct 5 points; however, his sincere apology will earn him 10 points." Professor Alder stated his position calmly after Draco finished apologizing.

This maneuver not only didn't result in a point deduction, but actually added 5 points to Draco's score.

Draco, who had been feeling aggrieved, immediately beamed with joy upon hearing about the extra points, and the tears in his eyes disappeared.

The resentment towards the professor vanished instantly.

At the same time, he secretly affirmed Kane's vision: So the older brother was farsighted. Apologizing can earn points. If I apologize more often in the future, won't I be able to gain points all the way?

If I keep apologizing, can't I keep getting points?

The surrounding students were also stunned and speechless. If it were Snape or Draco talking back like that, they would definitely lose points without question!

Kane was equally surprised and looked up at the professor. Coincidentally, the professor was smiling at him. Kane instantly understood: this was a favor from the professor.

"Everyone, please be quiet, let's continue the lesson!"

Professor Alder waved his wand, his powerful voice echoing throughout the classroom, instantly silencing the noisy young wizards.

They had witnessed firsthand the professor's unpredictable temper; Draco might get extra points by sheer luck, but they weren't so fortunate.

"As I just said, the history of magic is completely different from what you think!"

"Next, I will begin the lesson according to the textbook!"

The young wizards were uninterested. They had thought the professor would come up with something new, but he was just reading from the textbook. What was the difference between him and the other professors?

Just as everyone was disappointed, Professor Alder calmly took out his wand.

Magic surged, and layers of white mist rose above the classroom. Then, vivid figures emerged from the mist.

The young wizards were stunned; they had never seen such a magical method before.

They had never seen such methods before.

Kane was also secretly surprised. This professor's control over magic was amazing. With just one spell, he could present a realistic scene like a Muggle movie.

Soon, the young wizards' shock vanished without a trace, their thoughts drawn to the wonderful performance above the classroom.

"Wow, werewolves are so fierce!"

"Holy crap, the Ministry of Magic's actions are baffling!"

"Holy crap, this isn't just some weird move, it's downright idiotic!"

Seeing the absurd behavior of the Ministry of Magic officials in 1637, the young wizards were excited and discussed it animatedly.

So the officials of the Ministry of Magic in 1637 were really that stupid!

Kane wondered to himself: Could this professor be Dumbledore in disguise?

Such superb magical skills, with an hour of magical support and precise control, how many great magicians could achieve this?

Moreover, judging from yesterday's conversation, he knows Dumbledore extremely well. Who else but Dumbledore could be so familiar with him?

Just as the young wizards were enjoying the beautiful scenery, Professor Ald quietly appeared beside Kane.

Kane was taken aback and wondered: If the professor comes over, how will the aerial magic be maintained?

"You little brat, you didn't think I was casting a spell the whole time, did you?"

Seemingly sensing Kane's thoughts, Professor Ald smiled and said...

Kane was taken aback, his mind blank: Could it be?

"How long can your Ironclad Spell last?"

Seemingly noticing that Kane seemed a little confused, the professor continued.

It was only then that Kane began to realize that he had been trapped in a misconception all these years.

He always subconsciously believed that the effects of magic were temporary!

That's not actually the case. For example, his Iron Armor Spell only disappears after he is attacked or after the magic he casts is exhausted.

So even if the professor doesn't cast the spell now, the image above the classroom still exists.

Seeing that Kane understood his meaning, Professor Old's joy became even more evident.

"From now on, come to my office in the evenings."

After saying that, Professor Old left.

After the students finished watching the aerial footage, they were all still eager for more. This kind of novel teaching method is something you wouldn't see in class in the Muggle world.

"That's all for this lesson. Now, I'll assign you your homework. Once I've done that, you can start working on it."

Professor Alder's words instantly shattered the young wizards' beautiful reverie, and they all wilted like frostbitten eggplants.

I thought this professor would be different from others, but unexpectedly, he couldn't escape the "clutches" of homework.

"Each person will write 1000 words about the relationship between wizards and the Ministry of Magic. Those who write well will receive bonus points. Plagiarism will result in point deductions!"

Upon hearing this, the young wizards displayed a variety of expressions, some joyful and some sorrowful.

The good thing is that compared to the amount of homework in other courses, 1000 words is not a lot;

The worry is that this time I have to rack my brains to write it myself; there's no way I can be lazy and plagiarize.

Kane was puzzled; this assignment seemed to have no connection whatsoever with the content of this lesson.
