Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 27 Classroom Conflicts
"Crackling sound~~~"
A stream of clear water gushed from the tip of the Elder Wand, making a crisp sound in the quiet Headmaster's office.
"Don't rush, have some honey water, Severus." Dumbledore walked slowly to the headmaster's chair, sat down gently, and looked quite relaxed.
"I don't have as much free time as you do. I don't have time to drink these things right now." Snape frowned and continued, "I want to know if he's in danger!"
"Don't worry, although the situation is still unclear, it should be a good thing for us." Dumbledore reassured Snape, knowing his concerns and his purpose.
"So, when a professor at Hogwarts disappears, and then a wizard you've never heard of or met before suddenly appears to be the professor, is that a good thing? Is it a good thing?"
Snape stared wide-eyed at Dumbledore, his eyes filled with confusion and doubt. He simply couldn't fathom the other's plans.
"Don't worry, Severus. Professor Binns is tired enough and needs to rest. Let Professor Alder teach the next course on the history of magic. Trust me, he will be a good professor."
Dumbledore felt helpless; he didn't know what the other party's intentions were.
That day, after a heated argument between the two, the other party arrested Professor Binns and then volunteered to take on the position of Professor of the History of Magic.
Dumbledore was reluctant to agree, as this man's appearance made his control over the future situation uncertain.
"Don't you think his presence will disrupt our plans?"
After Snape uttered those words, the room fell into a deathly silence as both of them fell into deep thought.
Dumbledore was also unsure of the other party's intentions. At this moment, he was simply too busy to deal with the variables brought about by two Dark Lords at the same time.
"Believe me, Severus, he assured me he wouldn't harm any student in the academy!"
After a long silence, Dumbledore broke the silence, but his words revealed a sense of powerlessness and helplessness.
He knew that Professor Old's visit seemed to be aimed at the Malfoy children.
Snape's lips curled into a sarcastic smile, clearly indicating his distrust of this explanation.
He snorted coldly, said "You better be like that!", and then turned and strode away.
After Snape left, Dumbledore was left alone in the office. He slowly turned around, his gaze falling on an ancient mirror—the Mirror of Erised.
In the mirror, he seemed to see his long-lost family and his once closest friend.
Meanwhile, in another classroom, a lesson on the history of magic was in full swing.
"Some people think this is a course that doesn't require you to wave a wand, it's all about rote memorization!"
"Some people find the course boring and boring, and it makes them drowsy."
"Some people even think that all you need to do in this course is pass the year-end exam and your wizarding level exam five years later!"
"I'm saying now, everything these people think is wrong!"
On the podium, Professor Old's voice boomed like thunder, and this sudden, loud voice startled the students below.
Naturally, some students scoffed at this, secretly covering their mouths and chuckling to themselves.
"I recognize you, the second son of the Malfoys."
Professor Old's sharp eyes locked onto Draco, who was secretly chuckling.
Draco instantly felt like he was being pricked by needles. His originally pale cheeks turned bright red in an instant, and he seemed somewhat at a loss under the various gazes of the crowd.
"What do you think of your Malfoy family?" Professor Alder suddenly challenged, his gaze fixed on Draco.
Draco quickly stood up, the blush on his cheeks fading rapidly, returning to his usual paleness.
The young wizards around them, even those from Muggle families who were newcomers, had heard of the Malfoy family's illustrious reputation and knew that they were powerful and influential in the past two days.
"Noble! Wealthy!"
When Draco uttered those two words, his face radiated obvious pride, brimming with confidence in his family's heritage.
"Oh? Really? So what do you think your brother thinks?"
Professor Alder turned his head slightly, his gaze falling on Kane along with Draco's.
"Of course my brother thinks so too! Isn't that the truth?"
Draco curled his lip, showing considerable impatience with the professor's questioning, his words laced with disdain.
"I didn't tell you to talk back!"
Professor Old's face darkened, and in an instant, magic surged in the air.
Draco felt an invisible force lift him up, and he floated uncontrollably into the air.
He was then hung upside down, his body swaying, and terror instantly filled his face.
"Your family is powerful, influential, and wealthy? What can you do about it now?"
Professor Old's warm expression vanished instantly, replaced by a piercing sharpness that instilled a sense of awe in the surrounding students.
"I'm going to tell my dad! I'll make him fire you! Kane, save me!"
Draco was hanging in the air, clearly frightened.
"Curse Stops Instantly"
Seeing this, Kane quickly drew his wand, chanted a spell, and a flash of light appeared before Draco fell straight down.
Fortunately, the carpet cushioned the fall, so Draco wasn't seriously injured. He scrambled to his feet and ran straight to Kane's side, his body still trembling uncontrollably.
"Kane, this school is terrifying. I'm going to tell my dad I want to drop out."
Draco clung tightly to Kane's clothes, his eyes filled with fear and grievance.
The other young wizards also focused their attention on Kane.
"Those Malfoys are really in big trouble this time! They offended the professor and were even threatening to drop out. They might get expelled soon!"
Ron stood next to Harry and spoke loudly, making no attempt to lower his voice, his words tinged with schadenfreude.
The young wizards around him nodded in agreement.
Only Hermione's face was filled with anxiety, and she was thinking to herself: Wasn't this professor chatting and laughing with Kane last night?
Hermione saw Kane talking to the professor last night.
I was engrossed in my studies at the time and didn't hear what they were talking about. But logically, their relationship should have been quite good.
All eyes were on the two Malfoy brothers.
The young Gryffindor wizards were silently shouting: Quick! Stand up to the professor! If you do, you'll be our idol!
The young Slytherin wizards were somewhat anxious, worried that Kane's opposition to the professor would result in Slytherin losing points.
"Draco, apologize to Professor Ald." Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Kane finally spoke, his voice steady and firm.
