Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 26 Werewolves

Tuesday's first class was, as always, Professor Snape's Potions class.

This class was an ordeal for Harry.

If yesterday he only had doubts, feeling that Snape seemed to be deliberately targeting him.

So by now, he was absolutely certain—Snape was deliberately making things difficult for him.

In class, Harry and Ron both became the targets of harassment, which delighted Draco.

You know, just last night, after meeting Harry and Ron, I had a heated argument with that annoying redhead.

If it weren't for the other person's prefect brother coming, I would have definitely made them pay!

At this moment, he saw his "rival" making a mess of things in Potions class.

Draco was so pleased with himself that he almost burst out laughing.

After this lesson, Harry and Ron were mercilessly deducted another 6 points.

This caused the two of them to harbor deep resentment towards Snape, secretly gritting their teeth in hatred.

As get out of class was about to end, Professor Snape, with a detached expression, said to Kane, "Kane, come with me."

The other party's lukewarm tone left the students unable to guess his thoughts.

"Great! Snape will definitely punish that Malfoy in secret!"

Ron quickly leaned closer to Harry, lowered his voice, and whispered with a gloating expression.

Harry frowned slightly upon hearing Ron's words, his expression showing displeasure.

He always knew that Ron didn't really like Kane.

However, Kane is now being targeted by Snape, just like them!

What's there to be happy about?

Kane, however, remained calm and composed, handing the textbook to Draco without haste.

Ask the other person to bring your textbook to the next History of Magic class.

He had a feeling that Professor Older, whom he had met yesterday, might be a good professor.

Kane then followed behind Snape, and it must be said that the Malfoy family's shampoo did indeed smell much better.

Even when you're following behind Snape, you can smell the scent of shampoo.

It seems the professor is quite happy with this shampoo.

Snape's office was on the same floor as the Potions classroom; it wasn't far to walk there.

Pushing open the door, I was greeted by a dimly lit room.

The shelves around the room were filled with all sorts of jars, filled with sticky, creepy stuff.

In the corner was a storage cabinet. Kane was a little curious. This cabinet must contain the potion master's potion ingredients, which must be very valuable!

When there's another opportunity...

Snape walked to the desk, sat down on the stool, picked up a bottle of green potion from the table, looked up at Kane, and said coldly, "We already have Wolfsbane Potion, why are you still researching in this direction?"

Kane didn't respond immediately, but silently took the potion from Snape's hand and examined it carefully.

At the same time, he praised the other party in his heart, thinking that he was indeed a master of potions, and he could guess the general effect based on the formula!

This was brewed by Snape himself; he had complete faith in the professor's potion-making skills.

What we need to verify now is how effective this medicine is!

After examining it for a moment, Kane looked up at Professor Snape and said sincerely, "Thank you, Godfather! If it works, just say it was developed by you!"

Upon hearing this, Snape frowned slightly, thinking to himself: Why is this kid being so "kind" today? Something's not right, is it?

It should be noted that Damocles Belby, the last person to develop the wolfsbane potion, had already received the Order of Merlin's medal.

This would be an absolutely fantastic thing for a Potions Master or a Slytherin!

He simply couldn't believe that Kane would give up this honor so easily.

Kane gave him the recipe for the potion; he was just the one who brewed it!

"Of course, I hope that in the future, the Godfather can continue to help me brew and improve this potion."

Sure enough, there's no such thing as a free lunch.

Upon hearing this, Snape immediately understood Kane's plan. Without hesitation, he pointed to the door and coldly uttered two words: "Get out!"

Just kidding. This little bottle of medicine took him a full half month of hard work, and the production process was extremely complicated. He was not willing to continue being this free "laborer".

Kane was rudely kicked out by Snape, and he felt incredibly aggrieved.

He thought to himself: Is it a bad deal to trade knowledge and honor for manual labor?

Pshaw, he clearly has no ambition. No wonder he can't find a wife!

Even though he was kicked out, Kane carefully put the potion away.

This is a potion that can change the fate of a race, and it is also a key treasure for him to expand his power!

Currently, the werewolf clan is in a rather difficult situation.

Because of their special status and potential danger, they are forced to take jobs far below their capabilities, living a meager existence. The vast majority of werewolves are dirt poor.

Damocles' wolfsbane potion was extremely expensive compared to those werewolves.

The werewolves' wages are simply not enough to support them in buying wolf venom potion every month!

As a result, werewolves are finding it increasingly difficult to find suitable jobs, and even more difficult to establish themselves in the wizarding world.

Professor Lu Ping, who was conscientious and responsible in the third grade, is now living in poverty.

The Ministry of Magic's attitude towards werewolves was arrogant and prejudiced!

They despise werewolf wizards from the bottom of their hearts! They don't consider the other party's survival situation at all.

They were even foolish enough to expect werewolves to voluntarily register with the Ministry of Magic and sign a pledge promising not to attack others.

And before each full moon transformation, she has to lock herself up.

Which werewolf wizard would be foolish enough to deliberately let others know their werewolf identity?

As you can imagine, once this policy was implemented, not a single werewolf wizard went to register!

It was precisely because of this tragic environment that when the Death Eaters recruited dark creatures, the vast majority of werewolves joined Voldemort.

Simply because they believed they would be better off under Voldemort's rule.

Sadly, even Death Eaters and Voldemort looked down on werewolves.

Voldemort was even unwilling to mark his werewolf followers with the Dark Mark.

Therefore, Kane believed that as long as the experiment with this potion was successful, he would be able to make those werewolves obey the orders of House Malfoy!

This will also weaken Voldemort's power later!

After leaving, Kane went to the next class, the History of Magic classroom.

He wanted to see what made this teacher so different!

Snape, however, seemed lost in thought, and soon got up and headed to the headmaster's office.

"A string of cockroaches."

After uttering the disgusting command, the dripping stone beast at the entrance jumped aside in an instant.

The wall behind it was also split in two, and a staircase that slowly moved upwards came into view.

Professor Snape strode up the stairs and into the principal's office.

Upon entering the room, he completely ignored Dumbledore, who greeted him, and immediately demanded, "Who is that old man? What other surprises are on the horizon?"

Dumbledore, still smiling, slowly extended his wand.
