Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 25 Misunderstanding
Kane glanced at it and thought, "Good heavens, Draco is taking all the credit for himself!"
The idea of deceiving the fortune teller came from him.
The extra points in the Spells class were all thanks to him.
However, since the Potions professor was their godfather Snape, Draco wouldn't dare cheat in this class, which is why he didn't dare to claim the extra points as his own.
As Kane approached, Draco's heart skipped a beat.
Panicked, he frantically tried to stuff the letter he was writing into his pocket.
"Stop hiding it," Kane waved his hand at him, "ask Father if our family has any hidden trump cards or anything like that."
Draco hesitated for a moment, then took out the letter he had been tucking into his chest again, intending to add this sentence.
But as soon as he picked up his pen, he looked up at Kane with a puzzled expression and asked, "Brother, what is a trump card?"
Kane, seeing his silly expression, was both amused and exasperated. He patiently explained, "It's that thing that gives you a real sense of confidence when you're facing others!"
Draco nodded, seemingly understanding, and carefully added a sentence to the parchment: "It's something that gives you confidence when facing others!"
Kane was satisfied with what he saw, and Draco sent the letter after writing the honorific.
Just as I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking I could finally go to bed, I heard a voice behind me: "Tell me, what did Professor Snape talk about today!"
Draco felt a chill run down his spine, thinking to himself: My life is over! I'm about to suffer some "torture".
......
Just as Draco was about to suffer a painful lesson for not being able to answer, in a castle in Wiltshire...
Narcissa sat happily beside her husband Lucius, opening the letter Draco had sent.
As she read the contents of the letter, her eyes immediately welled up with tears. She felt heartbroken, thinking that her child was having a terrible time at school.
However, Lucius knew his second son's abilities well, so he didn't care about the other's sob story or request to transfer schools. How could the Malfoy children give up because of a little difficulty?
Afterwards, Narcissa saw how outstanding her children were and her previously distressed smile returned! It was clear that she was proud of her two children's excellence.
However, as Lucius looked at the letter, he began to have some doubts.
He was skeptical of the letter's contents, wondering to himself: Are you sure this was your idea, and that your brother got five points because of you? How come he didn't know Draco was so good at Charms?
Narcissa then read aloud the line Kane had mentioned: "Brother, you asked me to inquire if our family has any trump cards, something that would give us confidence when facing others!"
Upon hearing this, Narcissa and Lucius exchanged a glance.
Both of them looked puzzled, not understanding what Kane meant by those words.
"Lucius, is Kane sending you some kind of code?"
Narcissa looked puzzled. After reading all the contents of the letter, she put it away and looked up to ask her husband.
Lucius was also completely baffled. A trump card? What trump card could their family possibly have? If they really had a powerful trump card, why would they be following Voldemort?
Could it be that Kane was referring to something else?
He pondered for a moment, shifting his thoughts from the word "trump card" to the second half of the sentence.
"Could it give me more confidence when facing others?" Lucius murmured to himself, his mind involuntarily filled with memories of the past.
He couldn't help but recall that he had indeed become more confident than before when facing others in recent years.
Even when facing the Minister of Magic, Fudge, he can maintain a superior attitude, after all, Fudge still needs him to earn more Galleons.
Thinking of this, Lucius seemed to suddenly realize something, slapped his thigh and said, "Is Kane short of money at school? Is he being ostracized by his classmates, so he feels insecure?"
Narcissa heard her husband's answer and immediately felt that it made a lot of sense, and at the same time felt even more heartbroken for her child.
"No, we can't let the child suffer at school. I'll send him some Galleons tomorrow!"
Lucius also felt that this made a lot of sense, after all, he had spent a lot of Galleons just to maintain the relationship over the years.
Kane must have spent a lot of money on his classmates and teachers at school.
He clearly agreed that Kane needed Galleons, and with a wave of his hand, he shouted to the house-elf Dobby.
"Dobby, go to the warehouse and get 5000 Galleons! Remember to mail them to Kane later."
Dobby raised his hands high and shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Yes, sir!"
Lucius looked at Dobby's appearance, and although he was a little annoyed, he was used to it.
This house-elf is always very helpful to Kane.
Fortunately, he had asked the other party to do things quite a bit over the years, and he still remembered the story of Zhang Fei, the Muggle, that his son had told him.
That Muggle was killed by his men because he frequently whipped them.
He was shocked to find that he had actually read about this in Chinese history books. He broke out in a cold sweat at that moment.
Because he, like Zhang Fei, had often whipped Dobi before, he was really worried that one day Dobi would cut off his head while he was sleeping!
Therefore, Lucius has become increasingly tolerant of Dobby over the years.
Seeing how much her husband valued her child, Narcissa felt relieved.
Her face was full of smiles; in her view, no matter what happened, the most important thing was that her family was safe and together.
Afterwards, the two got up and returned to their bedroom to rest.
Meanwhile, Dobby quickly ran off to prepare to deliver the gold coins to young master Kane.
Upon entering the warehouse, the mountains of gold and silver treasures gleamed in the sunlight.
But at this moment, all Dobby could see was the 5000 Galleons he was going to send to young master Kane.
He searched high and low in the storeroom and finally found a box that was just the right size to hold all the Galleons.
This box is usually used to store precious magical items; it is very sturdy and spacious enough.
With a snap of his fingers, Dobi filled the box to the brim, making it heavy.
"This should be enough for Master Kane!" Dobby patted the box with satisfaction and muttered to himself.
Then he went to the owl hut outside the castle, where many owls lived and were hooting.
Dobby spotted a rather robust owl and ran over excitedly. "Hey, hello! Could you please take this box to Hogwarts and give it to Master Kane Malfoy?"
The owl stared at the enormous box with its big, round eyes, then tilted its head to look at Dobby, its eyes filled with fear and helplessness. It flapped its wings and chirped as if to say, "Are you kidding me? This box is so big and so heavy, how am I supposed to lift it?! Are you trying to kill me with exhaustion?"
Dobby blinked and realized he had given the owl a big problem.
He scratched his head, anxious and impatient, when suddenly an idea struck him and he remembered his magic.
Under Dobby's control, a faint light appeared around the box, and then the box slowly floated up, becoming light and airy, like a feather.
"See, it's all right now!" Dobby jumped up triumphantly and asked the owl for help again, "Please, please, it's easy now, can you deliver it for me?"
The owl looked at the box with some skepticism, then shook its wings as if to check the weight. Finally, it nodded, grabbed the specially made rope on the box with its claws, and took flight, heading towards Hogwarts.
Dobby stood there, watching the owl disappear into the distance, a happy smile spreading across his face. He waved his hands frantically and shouted, "Make sure you get it to Master Kane as soon as possible!"
Dobby didn't turn around and skip back to the castle until the owl disappeared into the sky.
He thought to himself with delight that once young master Kane received these Galleons, he could live comfortably at school, buying whatever he wanted without worrying about being mistreated anymore.
