Soon it arrived at Bourne's wedding day.

Gu Heng and Hermes arrived very early; there weren't many insects in the area when they got there.

Every visible place was furnished to perfection.

Gu Heng spotted Byrne not far away at a glance. He was wearing a pure white tuxedo and was talking to the arriving guests, his every move exuding composure and elegance.

Bourne looked quite different from usual.

Therefore, Gu Heng also glanced at it a few more times. Just as he was about to look away, Bourne happened to look over.

The two insects' eyes met.

The next second, Bourne turned his head and said something to the bug next to him, and then walked towards Gu Heng.

Bourne waved to Gu Heng with a hint of excitement. Gu Heng smiled slightly; this was exactly how Bourne looked in his memory.

"Bourne, happy marriage."

"Mr. Byrne, congratulations on your marriage."

Gu Heng and Hermes spoke at the same time, and they were both stunned for a moment before exchanging a smile after looking at each other.

"Thank you for your blessings." Bourne's smile hadn't stopped all day, and his brows were beaming with joy.

Gu Heng handed the gift he had brought to Bourne.

Bourne accepted it with delight, and was just about to open it when...

At that moment, Sith walked over, greeted him, and then leaned down and whispered something in Bourne's ear.

Gu Heng's gaze fell on the brooch pinned to Sis's suit, lingered for a moment, and then moved away without leaving a trace.

After hearing Sith's words, Byrne's expression changed for a moment. He nodded and turned to Gu Heng, saying, "Keep an eye on Anlu for me for now."

Gu Heng noticed his less-than-pleasant expression and wondered what had happened.

Gu Heng nodded in agreement, "Okay."

At Sith's prompting, Anlu watched the two figures walk away, then turned to look at Gu Heng.

He remembered this male insect; like Bourne the Elder, he was a good insect.

Gu Heng had no experience interacting with insect cubs. He bent down, a smile in his eyes, and began with an opening line, "An Luo, do you remember me?"

Anlu nodded obediently, her little face showing nods like a chick pecking at rice. "I remember."

Very nice.

Gu Heng couldn't resist reaching out and pinching the worm's still chubby cheeks. He was very gentle, and the worm's delicate skin gave him the illusion that it would easily leave red marks.

Heemis watched silently as the large and small insects got along harmoniously.

Bourne never expected that Angel would show up uninvited on his wedding day with Sith.

Haven't they learned their lesson from last time?

The insect servants couldn't stop Angel at all.

After all, he wouldn't dare do anything to a male insect.

Before Byrne even reached the door, he bumped right into Angel, who barged in.

Sith followed behind Byrne, and his expression turned cold when he saw Angel.

Byrne glared at the insect opposite him, practically begging him to get lost. "What are you doing here? I don't think I invited you, did I?"

Angel's arrival is never good news.

Angel's gaze swept between the two insects dressed in formal attire, her eyes darkening. "You're actually going to marry Sith? He used to be my maid..."

Bourne actually decided to marry a divorced female insect, which Angel considered a very foolish decision.

If it were him, he would never do such a thing.

The empire has so many female insects, wouldn't any of them be better than a divorced and despised female insect?

Before Angel could finish speaking, Byrne interrupted him with a cold expression, "So, there's nothing between you two anymore, and it's none of your business what the Sith is doing now."

"Today is my wedding day with Sith, you should leave."

After Bourne finished speaking, the smile on his lips had faded so much that it was almost invisible, and a cold expression appeared on his face.

He didn't want anything to go wrong at his wedding with Sith today.

Byrne's words were practically blatantly dismissive; anyone who wasn't a complete idiot would understand.

Angel had heard from his friend that Sith had remarried, and he had initially thought it was just a rumor, but today he saw it for the first time and realized it was a real thing.

He came here with a lot of pent-up anger, never expecting that the female servant he had rejected back then would now be married off to a detestable insect and become its queen.

Angel was filled with mixed feelings. The wedding was so grand today; it was clear that this annoying bug actually valued Sith quite a bit…

At this moment, he felt a complex mix of emotions in his chest, a feeling he couldn't quite describe.

Angel didn't even remember when he turned and left, only that the road back was unusually empty.

After seeing Angel leave, Byrne turned his gaze away.

The female insect beside him lowered her eyelashes, as if deep in thought about something, and suddenly fell silent for no apparent reason.

Byrne clearly sensed something unusual about it.

Sith looked up and met Burn's gaze directly.

In the instant their eyes met, Byrne seemed to see the complex and obscure emotions deep within Sith's eyes.

The female insect's voice rang out at that moment, "Lord Bourne, you still have a chance to regret it."

Bourne stared at the female insect so close to him, and slowly frowned.

Seeing Bourne's reaction, Sith felt a bitter taste in his mouth. It was obvious that he had misunderstood something. "While there is still room for maneuver, it's okay if you back out now."

As he listened, Byrne's brows furrowed deeply. What exactly was Sith imagining?

"I have no intention of regretting it."

Bourne finished speaking quickly.

He was certain that Angel's words had caused the female insect in front of him to have some wild thoughts.

Sith's voice was slow, his slightly shallow gaze fixed on Byrne, "Are you sure?"

"Absolutely certain." Byrne nodded, his gesture suggesting a decision, or perhaps a promise.

Sith still seemed hesitant, as if he was deeply troubled by something. He opened his lips, as if he wanted to say something more.

Bourne was helpless; the female insect in front of him still lacked a sense of security, and everything resurfaced after Angel arrived.

Byrne said, "Siss, I've already answered all your questions before."

Sith paused for a moment, then realized that it seemed to be true.

But even if he asked the same question two or three times, he would get the same answer.

"I'm sorry, sir."

A hint of annoyance crossed Sith's face; he felt as if he had been... rather unreasonable.

"Hmm?" Bourne looked somewhat displeased.

Sith looked over, puzzled, thinking he had upset the male insect, and was about to ask.

Bourne spoke up, "Will you still call me 'Your Excellency'?"

The male insect's fixed gaze seemed to already hold the answer.

Clearly, Sith understood, and his voice was tinged with bitterness when he spoke again.

"...a mighty ruler."

"Um."

Byrne responded with a nonchalant tone, but the faint smile that quietly spread across his eyes undoubtedly betrayed the emotions deep within his heart.

When Bourne and Sith came in again, Gu Heng looked over and his gaze lingered on the two insects, as if something had subtly and imperceptibly changed.

"Father!"

Upon seeing the two insects from afar, Anluo ran over quickly and eventually threw herself into Sith's arms.

"Slower."

Sith reached out and ruffled Anluo's soft hair.
