After everyone had washed up, Chen Jie brought out the breakfast she had prepared. Liu Xiangyang and the other two were all hungry and were eating their breakfast. Chen Jie took a steamed bun and let out a satisfied burp.

Liu Xiangyang glanced at her and laughed, "Godmother, why aren't you eating? Did you sneak a bite in the kitchen?"

"You're the one who's sneaking food! You probably ate too much last night and aren't very hungry yet. I'll take it to work and you can eat it on the way," Chen Jie said playfully, patting Liu Xiangyang on the shoulder.

Le Yao squinted at the two of them, picked up a steamed bun, took a bite, and muttered something under her breath.

"Sister Chen, sometimes I'm too tired, and I don't have much of an appetite when I wake up in the morning." As soon as Le Qi said this, she realized that it was ambiguous, blushed, and didn't say anything.

Liu Xiangyang looked at the two of them with a smile, and then saw Le Yao eating her breakfast with gusto. "You two should learn from me and Yao Yao. You always have such good appetites."

"Are you heading back today? Why don't you stay another day? Xiangyang, why don't you take the two of them to explore Harbin and relax?" Chen Jie rolled her eyes at him before changing the subject.

Liu Xiangyang looked at Le Qi and Le Yao, "Okay, let's spend a day in Harbin before going back."

Le Yao quickly swallowed the steamed bun in her mouth and said, "Yay! We've been to Ice City twice now. We went ice skating yesterday, but we haven't been anywhere else yet."

Leqi also looked expectant, but what came out of her mouth was: "Won't Bingbing be getting impatient?"

"It's alright, let's go to the No. 1 Department Store first and buy you all some things." Liu Xiangyang made the decision.

Chen Jie left her bicycle with them and walked to work.

The three of them rode their bikes towards the No. 1 Department Store. Le Yao sat on the back of Liu Xiangyang's bike, hugging his waist: "Brother Xiangyang, is Harbin fun?"

"It's fun wherever you guys are." He turned around and looked at Leqi, who was riding next to him, and said.

Leqi gave him a sweet smile and then focused on riding her bicycle again. It had been a long time since she had ridden a bicycle, and she was slowly getting back into the swing of things.

After they arrived at the No. 1 Department Store and locked their bicycles, Liu Xiangyang led the two of them inside.

Pushing aside the heavy cotton curtain, a wave of warmth rushed over.

Le Yao's eyes lit up as she pulled her sister to look around. They lingered the longest at the skincare counter, where several types of snow cream, including "Friendship," "Wan Zi Qian Hong," and "Ya Shuang," were displayed in the glass cabinet.

Leqi carefully compared the samples, smelled them, and finally chose four boxes of Ya Shuang Snow Cream. "Sister Chen treated us, so we should give her a little something in return," she explained to Liu Xiangyang.

Le Yao nodded, agreeing that her sister was thoughtful. Aside from that, they looked at the fabrics, clothes, and stationery, liking them but only glancing at them, without saying anything more about buying anything.

Having experienced a dramatic change in their family life, they subconsciously restrained all unnecessary desires, fearing they might add burden to Liu Xiangyang.

Liu Xiangyang saw this but didn't say anything. He simply paid for the face cream and led them around the department store again. The two sisters just followed quietly the whole time, occasionally discussing the products in hushed tones, but they didn't show any further interest in buying anything.

"Tired of shopping? Let's go outside then," Liu Xiangyang said casually.

Stepping out of the department store, a gust of cold wind blew, and Leqi tightened her collar. "It's so cold."

Instead of pushing his bicycle, Liu Xiangyang said to them, "Come with me, I'll take you somewhere else."

He led them to the place where he had met Li Dan last time, and after waiting for a while, they saw Li Dan approaching with a lewd look on his face.

He looked around, and just as he was about to speak to Liu Xiangyang, he recognized him, grabbed his hat, and exclaimed in surprise, "Brother, you're here! What are you selling?"

Last time, Wan Wu praised Liu Xiangyang highly after his deal with Liu Xiangyang, and even rewarded him with fifty yuan. Liu Xiangyang was practically his lucky charm.

Liu Xiangyang looked at Li Dan's braised egg, which was also wearing small glasses. Damn, it looked exactly like the Li Dan he had seen before.

He suppressed a laugh: "I'm here to find some things for my girlfriend."

Li Dan followed his hand and looked at the twin sisters, his eyes widening as he thought, "These bastards are eating really well."

He kept talking: "Fifth Brother said that if you come again, he will personally receive you. I will take you there."

Li Dan led the three of them for more than ten minutes to the backyard of an inconspicuous old Russian-style building. They knocked on a small door covered with sheet metal. A lean, middle-aged man with sharp eyes opened the door. He paused for a moment when he saw Liu Xiangyang, then smiled.

He patted Li Dan on the shoulder: "You son of a bitch, you're really lucky."

"Come in quickly, my friend, Fifth Brother is inside." This person was one of the people Wan Wu had brought to the park last time. After saying that, he winked at Li Dan, who then hurriedly ran inside.

Following the man into the house, I found it more spacious than I had imagined. There was a stove burning, making it very warm, but what surprised me even more were the things inside.

On the wooden shelves against the wall, goods that are scarce or even impossible to find on the market are neatly stacked: bolts of Shanghai-made "Dacron wool", brightly colored wool yarn, well-packaged leather shoes, boxes of Shanghai brand watches, and even transistor radios and cartons of "Daqianmen" and "Peony" cigarettes. The air is filled with the smells of rubber, leather and tobacco.

Leqi and Leyao were stunned and stood at the door, too afraid to go in. This was clearly not a legitimate store.

At this moment, Wan Wu came out from a door. Through the crack in the door that was not yet closed, you could see a white sheep lying on the kang (a heated brick bed). Obviously, that damned Wan Wu was eating meat in broad daylight.

"Brother, I've been waiting for you! My brother said you wanted to buy something. No problem, I'll give you a 9% discount." Wan Wu ran over, reached out and shook his hand.

"Thank you very much, Fifth Brother." Liu Xiangyang naturally withdrew his hand and said, "I brought my girlfriend here to buy some things."

When the two sisters heard Liu Xiangyang admit in front of others that she was his girlfriend, they both blushed and acted like quails.

Wan Wu's gaze swept over Le Qi and Le Yao, understanding immediately, and his smile widened: "I understand, I understand! Your girlfriend is my honored guest, brother. Ladies, don't be shy, feel free to look around. My things are a bit pricey, but I guarantee they're good quality, and you don't need a receipt."

Liu Xiangyang stopped being polite and began walking between the shelves, his target clear, as if he were taking inventory:

"This kind of wool, in navy blue, light gray, and maroon, is enough material for eight people to make two sets of clothes."

"Wool yarn, this blend, has a good feel and bright colors. I need enough to knit sixteen sweaters, and I'll choose colors to match."

"Leather shoes, size 37 or 38, soft cowhide, eight pairs each of black and brown."

"Frost cream? Friendship and Myriad Colors, ten boxes each."
