As Zhang Wen walked out of Sha Ruijin's office, he thought to himself that Sha Ruijin seemed determined to suppress the Handa gang led by Gao Yuliang.

It's best to avoid getting involved in this if possible. I was sent here to work on the economy, not to fight amongst myself. As long as they don't interfere with my work on the economy, I won't offend anyone.

As he entered his office, his secretary, Huang Shan, came over to inform him, "Governor Zhang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Gao Yuliang, just said he has some work to discuss with you."

Zhang Wen thought to himself, "What can I do? I'll just stand here and watch. No wonder he's my opponent; they say almost the same things."

"Secretary Gao, I support the fight against corruption, but the process should not affect economic development."

Hearing this, Gao Yuliang began to understand. Zhang Wen in front of him only wanted to focus on the economy and wouldn't get involved in their internal strife. Gao Yuliang breathed a sigh of relief.

Recently, Sha Ruijin has been relentlessly pursuing Gao Yuliang, causing him some headaches. Thinking of this, Gao Yuliang's expression softened considerably, and he smiled, "Comrade Zhang Wen, if you ever need anything from our Political and Legal Affairs Commission, just let us know. Back in his office, Zhang Wen called over Li Laifu, the director of the Finance Department, and asked, "Comrade Laifu, are there any major investment projects in the province recently?"

"Reporting to Governor Zhang, the biggest recent project is the Guangming Peak project in Guangming District, Jingzhou. Our province has allocated 200 billion yuan for its development."

"I've heard about this Bright Peak project. I heard that the vice mayor in charge of the project fled abroad."

"Yes, Governor Zhang, this project is currently at a standstill."

"What's going on? How can such a big project be shut down?"

"Hello, is this Secretary Li Dakang? This is Zhang Wen from the provincial government. Come to my office later, I have something to discuss with you."
