After Dumbledore left, the study was quiet for a moment, with only the soft sound of the Cabro dragon cubs swimming in their glass tanks.

Newt breathed a sigh of relief, looking at Victor with pride in his eyes, but also with a hint of barely perceptible worry.

"Hogwarts... Victor, I think the students will like you too."

"Of course, Grandpa, but I never thought that I, a Hogwarts dropout, would be able to return to Hogwarts as a professor."

Viktor looked at the letter of appointment in his hand and couldn't help but smile.

Upon hearing Victor's words, Newt, who was also an outstanding Hufflepuff dropout at Hogwarts, couldn't help but laugh.

For a moment, the laughter of the grandfather and grandson echoed in the room.

"Alright, Grandpa, I've grown a lot over the years while traveling. Even if Voldemort comes back, there's still Dumbledore and you, aren't there?"

"You captured Grindelwald back then, so Voldemort is nothing. When the time comes, I'll just wave my wand and you and Dumbledore will take him down with ease."

Seeing the worry in his grandfather's eyes, Viktor put his arm around his grandfather's shoulder and smiled.

Upon seeing Victor's youthful and confident smile, Newt's worry faded away.

Yes, Victor has grown up; he's not the little badger he used to be.

And isn't there also him and Dumbledore? He's not so old that he can't even lift his wand.

As if Viktor's words had awakened memories of his youth, he became energetic.

"Let's go, Grandpa! Tom and I rushed back from Siberia without stopping, and we're starving!"

Just then, Tom, who was trying his best to maintain the dignified demeanor of a "teaching assistant," let out a loud "groan" from his stomach.

"Yes, yes, look at me, I've been so busy talking. Tina must have prepared a lot of delicious food. Come on, let's go help."

…………

The kitchen is the true soul of the Scamander home.

It's not just that the interior space is much larger than it appears from the outside.

And right next to the kitchen is a space where spring lasts all year round, filled with all sorts of magical plants, vegetables and spices.

Tina had already put on her apron and had just taken over the task of picking fresh ingredients from the little flower fairies and the tree guardians.

The air was filled with the warm aroma of toasted bread, stew, and herbs.

When the grandmother and granddaughter arrived, Tina was waving her wand, directing the potatoes, still covered in mud, to "undress."

"Newt, go and pick some fresh bouncy bulbs and starlight mint. Victor, go and get some florper caterpillar slime to make soup."

"Yes, sir." x2

At this moment, Tina felt as if she had returned to her days as an Auror at the American Ministry of Magic.

This kitchen is her battlefield, and the grandfather and grandson are her underlings.

Meanwhile, Tom had already tossed aside his "teaching assistant" robe and pointed hat.

The snow-white napkin had been tied on at some point, and now he was grinning wickedly as he reached out his hand towards the freshly grilled sausage beside him.

"Snapped!"

Without turning her head, Tina used the spatula to precisely tap his outstretched hand.

"Tom~m~!"

Upon hearing Tina's voice, Tom rubbed his paws sullenly.

Then he pulled off his napkin, put on an apron, and approached Tina with a fawning smile.

Soon, the kitchen became even more lively.

The Nifflers suddenly appeared out of nowhere, attracted by the aroma of food, and tried to steal the shiny silver cutlery.

Then Victor lured him to a designated play area with a few Galon.

Pickett, the hunchbacked tree protector, poked his head out of the greenhouse, peering around curiously, then jumped onto Victor's shoulder and nuzzled his ear affectionately.

A pretty purple fluffy cat rolled to Tina's feet, only to be gently kicked away by her with practiced ease: "Go away, don't get in the way."

Newt returned carrying a bunch of still-bouncy bulbs and a sprig of mint that was emitting a faint glow, his face beaming with childlike excitement.

"Look! This year's bouncy bulbs are especially vibrant! Oh, watch out for that one!"

A bulb suddenly broke free and bounced around in the kitchen.

Upon seeing this, Tom, who was wielding a kitchen knife, excitedly pounced over and charged into the greenhouse, ball and cat alike.

The pair of kitchen knives, however, seemed oblivious to the situation and continued to be wielded.

Amidst the slightly chaotic yet incredibly warm and busy atmosphere, dinner gradually took shape.

It features Tina's specialty, slow-cooked beef with magical spices, in a rich and flavorful broth;

A vegetable soup with a wonderfully textured flavor, made from the gelatinous substance of Flopp caterpillars treated by Victor;

There's a salad made by Newt using greenhouse-grown vegetables, with tiny specks of starlight mint that glow in the dark;

There were also mountains of roast meat, fresh bread, and a large plate of perfectly roasted sardines and chicken that Tina had specially prepared for Tom.

Night had fallen when all the food was magically floated and placed on the large, scarred old oak dining table.

Warm light streamed through the kitchen window, illuminating a small patch of courtyard outside.

The family sat together, and Newt seemed a little excited as he raised his glass.

"For Victor's new job, for Hogwarts!"

"For Viktor!" Tina smiled and agreed, her eyes gentle.

Viktor felt a surge of warmth in his heart and raised his glass as well.

Tom followed suit, raising his little fish-shaped cup and clinking it against the glass.

"For Hogwarts!"

Dinner was held in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Newt couldn't help but recount his amusing travel stories from his early years, with Tina occasionally adding or correcting details.

Viktor shared his experiences in Siberia, especially the comical scenes of poachers being interrogated by Russian patrols in a "special way," which made Newt chuckle, while Tina shook her head helplessly.

Tom buried himself in his plate of sardines, eating until his beard gleamed with oil, and sat there with his big belly, picking his teeth contentedly.

Mike and his siblings sat on a fruit basket in the center of the table, each holding a grape bigger than itself and taking small bites.

Several curious Moon-obsessed cubs clung to the window, staring blankly at the lively scene inside.

The dessert was a syrup fruit pie made by Tina, which was sweet but not cloying.

Victor leaned back in his chair, watching his grandfather carefully feed Mike and his siblings.

Grandma smiled and rubbed Tom's round belly as he slumped in the chair.

Tom, meanwhile, was struggling to stuff the last syrup fruit pie into his mouth.

Watching this heartwarming scene, Victor rubbed his belly, which was a little bloated from being fed by his grandmother, and opened the letter of appointment that Dumbledore had personally handed to him.
