The Walking Dead: Starting as a Cowboy
Chapter 108 Beth
After discussing it with Morales, Caesar said to him, "Alright, go back and rest. Tomorrow morning, ask Glenn and the others what they found out."
"Okay." Morales nodded and left, leaving T-boy alone.
T-boy's clear black and white eyes darted around, thinking to himself, "Looks like it's my shift again."
When Caesar returned to the stone house, the aroma of the food was like a hand, whetting his appetite.
Several dishes and a soup were laid out on the table.
The dishes were very well prepared, with an enticing aroma that whetted the appetite. They looked delicious, and you could tell at a glance that they were very tasty.
Caesar glanced at the tabletop with delight, his eyes shining.
"Ta-da~ I sat here for two whole hours today to make this meal, so you can't say it's bad~" Amy said proudly as she walked out of the kitchen carrying two bowls of rice and looked at Caesar standing there.
Even if it doesn't taste good, you still have to finish it all.
"Okay, okay. I guarantee I'll complete the mission!" Caesar's gloomy demeanor outside vanished, replaced by a smile as he took the bowl of rice from Amy and placed it on the table.
The two sat down close together, and although the table was large, the restaurant still felt cozy.
"Eat up, eat up!" Amy handed the chopsticks to Caesar, then picked up a piece of braised pork and put it in Caesar's mouth.
Caesar bit into the braised pork, closed his eyes, frowned, and looked like he didn't like the taste.
"Uh..." Amy couldn't tell whether Caesar was enjoying it or finding it unpalatable. "Say something."
"Ah—" Caesar opened his eyes, his eyebrows relaxed, and he said with enjoyment, "A delicacy indeed."
Amy glared at Caesar with annoyance, but still put the meat into Caesar's bowl.
Amy kept piling the meat on top of Caesar's bowl, making the glistening meat shine on the top of the tower.
Caesar ate quickly, wolfing down his food.
Needless to say? He spends all day out and about, wearing heavy combat gear, and has to concentrate on defending his surroundings, which takes a huge toll on his physical strength.
Soon, Caesar had almost finished all the food on the table.
Amy ate her favorite dishes and finished a bowl of rice, enjoying her meal very much.
Having mukbang videos in front of you can definitely increase your appetite.
Amy leaned back in her chair, slipped her little hands into Caesar's rough, large hands, and restlessly burrowed and prodded them within his grasp.
"Is things still not going well today?" Amy asked casually, her gaze fixed on their clasped hands.
Caesar shook his head without sighing. He tightened his grip on Amy's restless little hand and said, "Black Pine Valley is indeed remote. There aren't many construction sites, and the nearby towns don't have much in the way of supplies."
"Food, water, and medicine had all been looted long ago, so we picked and chose some daily necessities."
"Are you going to Atlanta?" Amy's little hand stopped, her palms sweating. She glanced at Caesar, then quickly looked down.
Seemingly sensing Amy's worry, Caesar reached out and pinched Amy's chin. With a little force, Amy's mouth pursed, forming an "O" shape.
"Not yet, there are still some areas nearby that haven't been searched, but we can find them."
That's a lie.
Amy knew that the surrounding area had been basically searched. As Caesar's secretary, Amy knew the movements of almost all the combat squad members.
She was well aware that Caesar was under a lot of pressure, and that she was lying simply to avoid worrying herself.
There was no need for her to expose her lover's concern. Amy nodded and gave a sweet smile.
"Go take a shower, I'll clean up."
"it is good."
Two days later.
The atmosphere was somber as the convoy returned to Black Pine Valley.
The heavy trucks at the Bison Pass opened, and the convoy drove in.
Caesar rolled down the car window, looked out at Moore, and asked, "How are Glenn and Daryl?"
Moore stood with his hands on his hips, shaking his head helplessly.
He knew the importance of these building materials, but the frantic search over the past few days had even yielded a considerable amount of food.
Construction sites were extremely rare, and the few that existed were just small sites hired to build houses for their own families.
There were no steel bars or plates, and cement was scarce.
Moreover, bagged cement only has a shelf life of three to six months, and you still have to pick and choose after you get it back.
Who knows, I might have to build it myself in the future.
Caesar was having a headache; his immediate priority was to block the gate of Bison Pass.
Without a door, Caesar felt insecure when he was out and about.
I got back early today; there was still a sunset on the horizon.
The sunset glow resembled a lake in the sky, its red afterglow spreading layer by layer.
When Caesar returned to the council chamber, Herschel and Beth were still there.
Beth accompanied Hershel today, and she also got to go shopping, a rare treat in the apocalypse.
"Good afternoon, Herschel." Caesar greeted Herschel with a wave of his hand.
Seeing Caesar's travel-worn appearance, Herschel frowned and thought for a moment, "Judging from your appearance, you haven't found a construction site, have you?"
Caesar didn't hide his intentions and nodded. "Since we can't find it, let's try our luck in Atlanta."
Hershel was aware of the dangers of Atlanta, and a few days ago, Dr. Jenner shattered his delusions, so he no longer viewed the walkers as sick people.
He was also very aware of the aggressiveness of the walkers.
"Oh, by the way, this is my youngest daughter, Beth," Hershel said, patting Beth on the shoulder.
Beth stood gracefully before Caesar, her doe-like eyes sparkling with light. She wore a youthful outfit and looked petite and adorable.
Her golden hair was casually tied into a high ponytail, which made her look not so much more capable, but rather cute.
This person looks so different from before.
Beth's eyes sparkled with admiration. When Caesar last visited Green Farm, Beth only caught a glimpse of him from afar and didn't show up at all.
According to his family, Caesar was a domineering and capable leader.
Looking at it now, well, she's quite good-looking.
Beth's thin lips pursed together. "Hello, my name is Beth."
Beth's voice was soft and weak.
Caesar smiled politely. "Hello, Beth, just call me Caesar."
Suddenly, Caesar had a sudden inspiration and said, "How about I take you back to the farm?"
"Huh?" Hershel was taken aback.
During this period, Hershel drove himself to and from the airport.
He brought with him seeds of grain, as well as fruit trees, vegetables, and other things.
Fortunately, Caesar also sent him some things, so he wasn't really left hanging by a thread with the vaccine, like his girlfriend.
"Yes, I'll take you."
Caesar didn't explain anything, mainly because it was difficult to explain; he had a vague sense of unease.
